Interesting hybrid between dork and dorkless. How has it done?I dont like the hybrid personally I feel dorkless is amazing against combo dork is worse but not as bad.
I have recently come into neeeds for finances, so I am unfortunately having to sell the deck. This pains me so much as I mastered it, have top 8ed almost every event with it, and developed a reputation on here and reddit. I actually like us being tier 3 as unknown is better which means no hate. I like you guys and enjoy the discussions we have! I am buying a much cheaper deck that someone in my team plays that has been extremely good for him in events, so I am buying it to pocket a lot of needed money. I appreciate the support and criticisms and the dorkless came a long way thanks to you guys. If I am still able to post here with credibility, I would love to! Thanks guys for the past few months!
Sorry if I have been away I have been really busy with my life lately. I firmly believe both dork and dorkless are extremely well positioned now! I am rooting for you guys and am totally willing to contribute.
Ouch, i know how ya feel now, since I just completed my playset of goyf which cause me to be super broke.
May u have a speedy recovery in the thickness of your wallet!

Real life sucks and so do finances. Sorry to hear that, hope things go well for you/your family (whoever is in need), and I hope for a speedy recovery of your wallet so you can rebuy the deck.
Always nice to see innovation, and I hope you stay involved in the community!
Thanks guys really appreciate it! Will totally stay and help when I can.
In regards to Grave Titan, its good against grindy decks but I dont think thats a problem for the deck. Thragtusk imo should be feed the clan its faster and is almost always 10 life. Other creature aggro gets outclassed post board via stony silence etc.

My best testing partner and the guy who helped me make the list borrowed the deck today for a PPTQ I couldnt make (I have Twin as collateral which is worth way more so im not worried). He faced burn round 1 and it went to 3 games because he didnt draw any lifegain game 2 but he won. He then faced burn again round 2 no lifegain game 1 he is at 1 his opponent is in topdeck mode and if he whiffed that one turn he lost and he didnt whiff. Game 2 he kept a two lander with voice, double finks, and a rhino but didnt find the lands in time. Round 3 he faced Grixis Control; the opponent mulliganed a lot and a turn 1 thoughtseize made for a crushing victory. Game 2 he casted the black red command (I dont want to misspell it lol) SIX TIMES and he lost. Game 3 he curved perfectly turn 2 voice into turn 3 finks into t4 discard path his blocker turn 5 lingering souls flashback and won. Round 4 was against mono green stompy and he won pretty easily both games (though he was at low life totals). Then he played against jund and the guy knew the matchup was terrible and played SUPER slowly in the most legal way possible (taking up all 15 seconds within every priority) and despite us annihilating him on board, it wound up a draw because of how slow the guy was (we knew it was on purpose as he didnt do it to anyone else). He then beats a teammate whos on Skred Red (YAY!), who got mana flooded then mana screwed. Final round if we win we top 8, but we faced mono green devotion which is a horrible matchup thats equivalent of tron but with a faster emrakul that has haste.
He is building this deck currently and said he believes Bosk should become either a Wildwood or Canopy based on preference. I prefer a Wildwood because his one reasoning was bosk was just a forest most of the time, and if you want to avoid ping it makes no sense, and a strictly better mana sink in Wildwood so im going to go with Wildwood as the tested change.
So I cut my gavony because I found I got color screwed enough that I wanted to change it. We have a murmuring bosk in there instead, and it works I realized after today based on experience. If we figure out what to cut for a 24th land, Gavony would be the land to add imo.
CUT A FOREST ADD A PLAINS! It transforms the deck and the manabase feels so much smoother and more functional now. It is a permanent change in my list. That is all
I played my list cut a forest for a plains and it was WAY better at a local tournament I got 3rd place lost to the Ad Nauseam player who's on my team and that I knocked out at the PPTQ so it was revenge lol. I feel the mana problems are sooved with the plains the deck ran smoother and felt better.
I wouldn't play Llanowar Wastes. The only other deck I know of that plays pain lands is Storm, and it works there because:
1) it wins fast
2) Choke protection, which clearly does not apply to this deck
I'll also say that you shouldn't play Razorverge Thicket if you're going to keep all those 4-drops. Thicket is fine with mana dorks because if you have a mana dork and 2 lands, Thicket as the 3rd land ETBs untapped and lets you play your 4-drops. If you're going to get to 4 mana by land drops alone, you'll want a checkland since it'll most likely ETB untapped if you play it as your 4th land, unlike Thicket.
This was exactly my logic in this and its why I cut Thicket. I completely agree I will get back to you guys when I make changes on the manabase as to what changes it was and why. I need to consult my team about it
My next question is,in context how much better is llanowar wastes than just 2 more fetches so we can fetch Overgrown Tomb T1. We end up taking 3 damage with this, but if we have llanowar wastes we end up taking one for the hand attack and then a second for our turn 2 play if we have it. Do we end up taking more damage over the course of a game if we play the painland over a fetchland? We also don't get the deck-thinning that the 2 fetches would provide.
I dont have legitimacy in this question because it requires testing to be sure, but first impressions to me are more fetches and shocks because we always need colored mana so we take one a turn which is bad for us.
