These cards aren't just cheap, they've beaten out some tough competition to earn slots in many of the tightest cube lists in the cube community, so I'm happy to recommend them as good value that should be efficient, powerful, and/or versatile enough to be worth a slot in your cube for years to come.
Also you if you are looking to find alternatives at a specific cost you could try Cube Tutors search function like this for example to see what creatures people are running at 6+ mana in white.
Shrine of Burning Rage is a card I'm always surprised to see it on lists because it always felt pretty average but I could see it getting better the more agro is pushed.
White isn't an include for me unless you have a tribal theme.
Blue is definitely the most definite include in my eyes.
Black is fringe but the best removal available if you get the right colours.
Red seem like it will be a lot of fun, but I haven't had a chance to cast it yet.
Green is in the same boat as red.
I like red, green and blue because it give you something to do with off colour cards you draft.
Arcane Savant and friends are under $2, in fact you can probably foil them for under $2 (based on a quick conversion from £ in my head). The others may be cube dependent (I don't like the white one) but Arcane Savant is a solid include.
If I check the list against UK prices would you put it in the main post? No worries if you don't feel its necessary, the thread is a great resource without it.
2 Dollars = 1.39 Pounds, just for reference.
The thread is super usefull but US and UK pricing doesn't always line up so a budget card in the US mightn't be strictly budget in the UK.

The Cube List Forum has a Budget tag so they would be the place to start.
