Went 3-1 tonight, losing to Affinity in the finals.
This is a very powerful deck. First time I have been able to play with TKS. Good lord it is good.
Beat BG Eldrazi 2-0, Suicide Zoo 2-1, Selesnya Tokens 1-0-1, and lost to Affinity 0-2. I drew poorly against Affinity and had to mulligan in game 2. He dropped an early blood moon with plating and a ravager. GG.
Only change I would make is more Affinity hate in the side. Overall this deck felt amazing.
I've said it before, we're like the NicFit of modern: disrupt, ramp, play bomb. Only instead of SDT we have Relic
Let's talk practically, what are some of the cards in OGW that you might consider as part of a potential core? I.e. what new cards should I worry about gathering before they increase by 500%?
I am going to try this again this weekend, but I am not sure how people are getting such good results with this deck. It just felt so clunky if the opening hand didn't have a Temple, Relic, Strangler/Herder, plus a colored source. It seems to need to mulligan a lot, but it mulligans much worse than Tron.
What is your list?
It is pretty much the stock list you see on MTG Goldfish, but with a Conduit and a couple more Maps.
I am wondering if I want one more exile effect. A Scrabbling Claws or something of the sort.
Your manabase needs some work. You have 12 sources of b mana and 9 of white; you need 14 of b and 12 of white or something near this. Also caves of koilos is a 4x with new eldrazis

Ghost quarters is our best bet against tron, but its still rubbish against scapeshift. They just get to 7 and win. We can't interact outside of discard. I bet the UB version has a better time, but BW is just rubbish. I think our only chance is either discard + surgical extraction a scapeshift or ghost quarters + surgical a valakut if they happen to play one early. Even then, our odds are bad. We actually have a much better matchup against tron than we do scapeshift. Maybe 33/66 against tron, but 20/80 to scapeshift. Its really really bad.
If it is a big problem, you can splash a Blood Crypt and run Slaughter Games. Scapeshift loses to that pretty hard. TitanShift is a little more resilient but we have Path for that.
If I encounter Shift a lot, I will just have a lot more discard in my sideboard.

Thought-knot Seer
Reality Smasher.
TKS will be replacing Conduit, a Strangler, and probably a Herder.
Reality Smasher will be a 1 or 2 of, but I might replace more Herders with him. Doesn't worry about Processing as much.
Just ordered. Thank you!
It is pretty much the stock list you see on MTG Goldfish, but with a Conduit and a couple more Maps.

4x Inquisition of Kozilek

It just felt super clunky. Maybe I was making huge misplays but it didn't feel like it. Hard to go from something as smooth as Jund/Junk to this.
Agreed. Even in the BW version, I will be running 2x Ghost Quarter in the main and a Tec Edge plus Ghost Quarter in the side (or maybe 2x Tec edge?)

Aven Mindcensor is super underrated. I highly recommend it against Tron.
