Cause it is a dead card in the early game (where U Tron struggles the most) and afterwards it is just another random high CMC card. Does it really matter, if you cast this card for 12 mana (which requires on average 7 lands (Tron +1, 3 Islands)) or just drop the Mindslaver Lock? If you want a massive card draw, Pull from Tomorrow does this better, cause it is an instant, which is crucial for U Tron.

Modern/Legacy
either funpolice (Delver, Deathcloud, UW Control) or the fun decks (especially those ft. Griselbrand)
And "only" Storm plays Gifts atm, which itself has a low metagame share, so meh. Furthermore, Aven Mindcensor is still better, cause flash beater which basically shuts down Gifts too.

Anyone else think that Lazotep Plating might see Modern play? For 1U at instant speed, you virtually get a 1/1 and omni-Hexproof for you and your permanents.
But which deck would want to have that effect?
At best case it is a Negate + a 1/1 Token for 2 Mana vs removal spells, something not many decks (if one at all) would want. Only RUG Delver plays something similar in Simic Charm and Simic Charm does much more than that spell (cause it either pumps, protects or is a tempo removal).
I can see the benefits of that card, but no deck wanting that effect.

Karn into Bridge seems rather mediocre tbh, cause Tron cannot empty their hand that fast usually. Sure, they have lots of mana, but their spells are also on the expensive side. Hence, instead of Bridge they need to find a different card to deal with Aggro.

Well, why is that a bad thing? Most cards (so far) seems relatively fair, and people have been complaining for a while about the Phoenix meta (although it seems to me like it is settling and things will be fine). It's ok to have a non-artificial shake up (as in no bans/unbans) and see where we are going from there in 6-8 months. Hopefully this will also stop the ban/unban discussion for a while as it has become extremely stale.
I personally have no problem with this (so a boatload of new impactful Modern cards), the ripple effects of it will be bothersome. When everything is a wild west (which I currently think will happen) than people will pile upon the few stable decks, and those are currently: Phoenix, Dredge, Whir Prison and Tron. Basically I expect an uptick of all those decks in the coming months (as in total overall metagameshare), while the rest of the metagame gets even more splintered, which makes planning for a tournament a nightmare (cause besides the top 4-5 decks, it makes the format even deeper).
Sure, fun for brewers (as myself), but will be annoying for a lot of people.

Am I the only one who feels, that WAR is a little bit pushed? There are already so many modern relevant cards spoilered so far, I honestly dread what this + Horizon will do to Modern. My bet atm is: Modern will be a mess for a long period of time (cause people will need to figure again the format out).

For each time you copy it (so for Storm 4 = 4 times) you will deal X additional damage (dunno if it is 3 or 1). So, a Grapeshot with 4 Storm deals 5 (1+4 Storm triggers) + 5*X damage.

OK Guys, I firmly believe Bolas' Citadel can be broken in Modern. Sooo on what turn do we want to play it?
The card is worse than ADN. Why?
a) You need to pay life, not lose life. This way, something like Unlife or Angel's Grace doesn't work with it (aka, once you are down to 1-2 life you cannot cast any more cast via it, cause you have not enough life to pay for it)
b) Double land pricks you
c) It costs 6 mana. To generate that mana early one you need play clunky cards (like Lotus Bloom) which in return are bad with it when you want to abuse it.
d) Why not slam something like Griselbrand instead and just win?
