Holy. Moly. I am so sorry for everyone I have confused. We actually have 3 more weeks to go. We have shards/wedges, colorless, and then lands. I definitely lost my brain last week (did someone cast Thought Scour?) and I think I have retrieved most of it by now. We will do shards/wedges 2 deep, followed by colorless top 20, and then finally lands going 20 deep. Alright, I'll have the shards/wedges thread up shortly.
No worries. I thought I misunderstood the process.
Changing the subject, what are we doing with the draft-matters cards and the conspiracies? They really change the draft environment and play sort of like some Unglued cards. I don't think any of the colored ones are good enough to make it in, but the colorless ones are powerful. However, many cube managers have made a choice not to play them or to only play them at certain times because of the weird drafts they create.
I'd prefer to keep them separate from other cards. If we include them, then stuff like Backup Plan is going to place highly and kick other, more commonly run cards off the list. Having conspiracies on the list doesn't help anyone who has made a decision to not run them. I'd like to exclude them or vote on them separately.
Thanks for taking this on. I'd be very interested in another Top 20 project. I'd be willing to help, but I'm not the most tech savvy person so depending on what you need I may or may not be the right person.
My quick thoughts:
1. Lands and artifacts that require a certain color to function should go in that color. e.g. Vedalken Shackles is blue; Treetop Village is green.
2. Functional reprints should be counted at the same cost so we don't have Ravages of War and Armageddon taking two slots.
3. 10 per guild is more than enough. For tricolor, we could rank overall top 10 or maybe vote on top 3 per trio.
4. Need to establish how to rank "best." I think last time we did it by measuring how likely you are to win if the card resolves.
Thanks for trying to get the ball rolling on this, BlackWaltz3!

I'm OK with lumping Wrath and DoJ together.
