Elspeth was back after were introduced how the theoros underworld works. Which we view differently before.
Ixalan and Inistrad has it after death. Same as Ravnica from
The thing about Gideon being special on Theros was just recently introduced, but in initial presentation it wasn't.
It make sense that Gideon had a strong follwing have been in Ravnica not in Theros.
Its weird that they choose Theros when he was supposed to be just great but not something that equals his Ravnica momements, since his in the initial theros escapade not something to fit those following.
And his greates moments is either in Zendikar or Ravnica.
Nah, in magic there are things that can be stretch through...
Especially death from astral world and alternate parallel.
Saying Ravinica has no underworld or Gideon soul is traped in Ravnica is lack of understanding with that plane.
Spirits, Zombie, Spectre and etc are once dead people. And those creatures type were among the most popular in Ravnica.
Concluding something that is a fantasy fiction is poor analogy.
Does a dead planeswalker even loses his spark lol? Can spirits be planeswalkers? Can they planeswalk, There so many possibilties, loop holes and open ended conclusion.
They could even pulled in that Gids wasnt dead and the whole thing was change because "a wizard did it" ... jace or whatsoever. It was sn illusion..
Or gideon is on suspended animation or what ever dreaming endlessly like superman in a coma or like cap trapped in a huge icebergs.
But justifying that a new gideon card would never be printed again as an mtg card is poor analogy and probably never knew the history of fantasy and fiction in magic not just the plane.
It's like saying wolverine is dead because a particular perspective was introduce but later another perspective was reveal that undid the other. In other words retcon like what a happened originally to Bolas.
We still don't know the loop hole there in Ravnica Underworld.
Or maybe we assumed with the perpective that Gids dead but not because of another planeswalker interference. Same thing they did with Bolas but the difference is Bolas is written because the narrator tend to see that angle of perpective.
For a brief moment, he felt sorry for more recent friends, for Chandra and Nissa and Jace and Ajani and Aurelia and, yes, Liliana, and so many others. He was here and found. They were back there and still so lost. But just being in this present gave him hope for them. They’d survive. Liliana would save them. Or Jace would. Or they’d do it all together. Or they wouldn’t. But if this was the end, then the end, perhaps, was not so bad. Not so bad for me, certainly. So I can hope not so bad for them. There was sunlight and a cool breeze. The brook babbled on. There was serenity. Kytheon was at peace. At peace and, finally, redeemed…
Yeah Gideon is really ready to leave to fight some more....
So would you elaborate what that supposèd to justify and conclude of Gideons posibility of future prints for future sets not prequel?
I might be wishfully thinking (and maybe slightly evil) but white does have access to some cheap infect options and I think most of the time they are going to block 4 infect damage than block her. I think some kind of equipment + infect build may make her viable in commander. White has good weenie and artifact recursion to bring back any pieces that get shot down and the sword of truth and justice is pretty spicy as well.
Thats why this card would have been better with green, white and blue if ot can't protect itself
She makes one of your creatures into a mini-gideon since his default power and toughness as creature is a 4/4. T-T RIP
IMO I'm not sure if Gideon soul made to Theros from Ravnica but considering how much of his character was a warrior who wanted peace and rest I could see him ignoring any chance to escape his death. He's finally at peace and happy.
False
Nah his not peace thing eh, his more of someone that stand justice, truth and against evil. His more fighter than any mono white walker, his ability even shows that he woul go toe to toe and combat, The peace and communication were all Jace if you read the book.
The peace opinion is kinda random and associate it to him resting fot good if given a chance lol.
His not reackless but his not a passive character that is all talk.
1. He fought to protect others, not to fight for fighting's sake(that was back when he was Kytheon)
2. He lived a hard life, never knowing true peace
3. He died a hero and was sent to be with his loved ones for all eternity
Gideon both earned and deserves his Hero's Ending.
Argument number one is false.
Everyone especially white legends and walkers protects yet theres a huge difference with Gideo
Gideon fought for justice than any walkers he fought "side by side" than any walker, he fought for justice.
Its dumb already to claim that a white walker fight for the sake of fighting they are white
and it"s dumb also to justify that it's an exclusive trait to gidy character to protect other as the reason he fight especially with white? LOL Even some walkers from other colors do the same?
Argument number 2? False again.
Thats not a gid exclusive and most walkers have lived a hard life to trigger their sparks. So it doesnt justify your conclusion. Liliana and Espeth did also lived that way. Lol
3?
fake especially the eternity trying to pull a stupid conclusion to win an argument based from personal opinion and preference. Saying eternity is already dumb. If mark roswater or a team in MTG would say that and would never print Gid on future stories then that is true.
4.No he wasn't because Bolas is still alive and their victory was fake, His people in theros is also in chaos and trouble that even in the underworld has issue too.
So conclusive happy ending for somethimg that is fake and even in afterlife of his people is im chaos thats not something to claim justice...
unless you hate gid card for having the only walker that fight "side by side" to his people. An exclusive Gid trait.
All your arguments are just throwing "generic cliches" that are common to either white or protoganist in mtg to justify your argument while me Im highlighting what makes him exclusive and different, what stands out of him.
Gideon is the most different and humane walker in white. That would risk even his so called illusion, dream or fantasy of victory and happines and dwould never hessitate to fight front of the line and die again for the sake of true justice for everyone.

Do even people believe that Bolas would never ever return? I dont even believe he would be even killed. Lol
