I don’t remember any markings identifying my white box as Kaleidoscope Killers until I opened it up, is there a way to tell before you open up the white box?
I'm legitimately not happy with this. I don't make a whole lot of money, but I saved up and bought a foil Marrow Gnawer for Christmas. And now this gets annouced and will surely tank the price of the original.
The Kamigawa art for Marrow-Gnawer is stunning. Really captures the look and feel of the Nezumi (from L5R). Marrow-Gnawer from the Secret Drop looks like a Hamtaro. You have nothing to worry about in regards to your foil Marrow-Gnawer. Guaranteed.
That brings up another point, most people who go in for this (The Secret Lairs) may just want one (maybe, if that) to further bling their play-sets. Those people are still going to want 3-4 original foil Marrow-Gnawers.
The Secret Lair reprinting of Sliver Overlord didn’t do anything to the price of a NM foil Scourge Sliver Overlord, so you should be OK with your foil Marrow-Gnawer.
This one is not for me, but that’s OK. I applaud Wizards for continuing this series. Kaleidoscope Killers happened to be for me, and who knows when the next one will also be for me if they continue this series for the coming years.
