Basically, you pull all the land out of your deck, and beatdown with a massive Allosaurus Rider or two.
What say you?
problem is your win condition. allosaurus is not a good enough win con, or rather i should say, its not a good ONLY win con in a deck. it has no evasion, no trample, no protection. by the time you start swinging with it, I could chump block that all day with weenies. while at the same time, you have no defense against my attacks.
Hmm... a basic elves design, but lacking in a couple ways. First, consider atleast one alternate win-con. You don't want to rely solely on Rider. Either splash some white in here for removal Path to Exile, Condemn etc., or, and because your deck loves mana ramp, try the old Elfball combo. Mass elves and mana then drop something like Fireball, Banefire, Demonfire ftw.
I was testing this out, goldfishing it, and it seems about as consistent as it was before. I'm a little leery of the mana base, but that seems to be the only way make the deck function with the sheer amount of cards that pull forests out (Land Grant, Wood Elves, Yavimaya Elder, Skyshroud Claim) and still have a couple of splashes.
Although, casting Banefire for 17 damage followed by two 20/20 trample lifelink Allosaurus Riders was cool.
Just out of curiosity, is anyone else bothered by the fact that a giant cold-blooded reptile is running around in an ice age?
Granted, I don't know if some of these cards are in your budget, but you get the idea. Land/mana ramp early, various win cons here including the Banefire, Garruk for beast tokens, Creakwood Liege for tokens that also beef up everything else, Natural Affinity another surprise win con with liege allowing your lands to not die in a trade, and more tokens from Wolf Pack. Out of these win cons I have, ones that don't need to be built around that you could use would be Garruks, Wolf Packs, and Natural Affinity. I personally think you want Wolf Packs. That card is just amazing in land ramp decks!
I like green stompie decks, that being said, you can't go wrong with howl of the night pack (one of my favorite cards) But i think a green ramp deck that's trying to get out some fatties is missing something without overrun Play down howl, next turn overrun and chances are you just won
