Lol but all these cards are like crazy expensive E.G Black lotus=100,00,0000,00000 dollars and it is funy how some crazy ass rich losers would buy 1 card wich us average people dont even buy 1 tenth of that price on our 10-30 dollar decks and some singes it makes me laugh ! and lol chandra is your avatar it is a really good card i have to admit but the price to pay i dont understand like when it says -8 deal 10 damage to target player and all the creatures he or she controls. Can someone please tell me
I like 10/10 tramplers! Espesially when they are Doomgape and i have 4 of them and even more awsome when i combo them with Creakwood liegeGrave pact and Dark ritual and i have 4 of each............. I hope I did not scare you:tease:..................
Most people, other than collectors, do NOT buy the power 9 or other expensive, popular vintage cards. Those who wish to use them to actually play with will "proxy" them, which means playing with copies printed from the internet. They're obviously fake, but the DCI, the main sanctioning body for wizards, permits some proxies (usually a maximum of 10 or 15) within Vintage tournaments.

DCI allows no proxies, not even Vintage.
But then DCI does not hold many T1 and T1.5 tournaments and most are private and there you are most often allowed a certain number of proxies. (those tournaments have power cards as prizes often, so if you are good enough you can collect P9 from such events and then go and play DCI)

Each reality is but the dream of another, and each sleeper a god unknowing.
We define the boundaries of reality; they don't define us.

Legacy (Type 1.5) never has proxy events. They're always sanctioned.

Okay. Plainswalkers come with loyalty counters. The number at the bottem is the number of loyalty counters it comes into play with. Those counters are basically life. SO -8= -8 loyalty counters. When a plainswalker runs out of loyalty counters, it dies.
And mini quote, i mean the button beside the quote button. But i figured that you could just take out the unecessary part of the quote . So basically, all is good

The loyalty counters on the bottom. Chandra has 6, and you need 8 to do that ability. The first ability gains you +1, by doing 1 damage to target player. Which you should be able to do on the turn she comes out. Because the rules say nothing about planeswalkers being affected by summoning sickness. So you'll have done 2 damage to player, plus the 10 to player and 10 to all creatures. Or wait till you do 3 damage if you want to keep her on the feild.
DCI allows no proxies, not even Vintage.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up. I was really surprised by that.
what card do you thik is the best card ever guys and when i mean best i mean anything with high power/toughness low mana cost nice effects and to top it of aditions like lifelink flying trample, vigiance and persist i have always wondered which ones are the best so i am asking you to decide?????????????????????????????????????????:D
- It's not legendary
- Doesn't come into play tapped, doesn't require you to discard cards to use it's ability
- Produces mana
- Draws you 2 cards a turn (this + your draw step)
- Can't be countered
- Has no color, can go in any deck
- No casting cost
- No activation cost
- If you have multiples in play, you can tap the others in response to the others, and draw more cards.
It's awesome if you start the game with it, having it on the first turn will really help. It's not ideal for fast/aggro/burn decks who empty their hand in 3 turns. It's better for control decks that sit back and keep a full hand and rely on card advantage to win games.
I wouldn't call it the best card ever, but it's probably the best land.
I used to own a couple Force of Will when I started playing. I traded them away for some awful, worthless crap. Why in the world would I want to willingly force myself to lose life?! I want to make the other person lose life! I'd much rather play Vizzerdrix. *facepalm*
There's the contention that Black Lotus makes every deck it's added to better. I don't see any reason this wouldn't be the case. Lotus Petals would also be like this although of course not quite as good. Any other cards that will categorically improve every deck? (I was thinking Lotus Vale, but that'd be bad for spells like Corrupt that depend on the number of lands you control).

Awww.
When i first started playing, my friends played a prank on me. They snuck a fake black lotus in my deck. ( i couldnt tell, i just started, but all the effects and pictures were the same, just it wasnt real). I was lik, Woah, whats this. My friends said they will give me 5 bucks for it.. I read it, i thought it was crap. Why dont i just get lands?? (xD) So i said. 5 bucks. They gave me the 5 bucks, and said no trade backs. They showed me how much it was worth on gatherer. I cried. Then they told me it was fake. I didnt give back the 5 bucks. But turns out they made me pay 5 bucks extra for the draft that we just had.=.=

Are you for real? Wow... I did not know that.

I couldn't agree more, I do so long for P9 in the new borders. Sadly, it will never happen.
The answer is obviously Akroma, Angel of Wrath.
Reading this thread makes my head hurt and makes me want to hurt others as well.
I smell a COUNTER coming at that Angel. She's broken but expensive.
Anyway, you guys have been missing the key card all along. Thought Nibbler. I mean, so much better than Zephyr Sprite!
Now, Seriously, Here are the top cards for each color:
Green: Channel or Tarmogoyf.
Black: Yawgmoth's Will, Necropotence, Yawgmoth's Bargain.
White: Ugh. Good choices. Maybe Wrath of God? Balance? Swords to Plowshares? Akroma?
Blue: Force of Will, Ancestral Recall, Mana Drain, Counterspell, Time Walk
Red: Wheel of Fortune. For burn, Fireblast or Pyrokinesis.
Artifact: The moxes and Black Lotus. I want Isochron Scepter up there, but it doesn't cut it. Umezawa's Jitte.
Land: Library of Alexandria. Probably the most powerful card in the game. Strip Mine is close, as is Bazaar of Baghdad.
Multicolored: There are too many.

Currently Playing:
Ehhh....
I'm surprised at no love for Mana Drain
Kokusho, The Evening Star, Exsanguinate and Glen Elendra Archmage have a restriction of 1 per deck.
Guess, this is THE list.
Guess Lotus, Goyf and Mine are the best ones since they are game changing cards despite the decks they are in (in this particular order)
Blue: Force of will, brainstorm, standstill
White: Path, Swords, Wrath, Jotun Grunt
Red: Lightning bolt, Siege-gang-commander, Squee goblin nabob
Black: Dark ritual, Necropotence hymn to tourach
Artifact: Jitte, sword of Fire&ice, Aether Vial
Multi: MAelstrom pulse, Lightning helix, wooly thoctar
land: Mutavault, maze of ith, revised duals
Oh yeah I remember Umezawa's Jitte. That thing was broken. Actually liked it a lot.
Well, if THAT'S how you're doing it, you have to look at Force of Will, auto 4 of in any blue deck, as well as Tarmogoyf.
