Ok so I received a private message from Hamsta on what card he chose so to speed things up.
On behalf of Hamsta I am please to announce GMAD #198 : Wild Research
Rules:
-Anyone can post and participate with one card per day. (But, you may suggest up to 4 copies.)
-Remember to always explain your suggestions, even when they are obvious.
-Avoid suggesting cards that are banned in Vintage.
-Avoid suggesting Unglued / Unhinged cards. Some exceptions can be made.
-Once the deck have clearly defined colors, avoid suggesting off-color cards unless there's really a good reason to splash for them.
-Decks will have 60 cards, unless there's a particular reason not to (Battle of Wits, for example).
- The changes will affect how those 60 cards a chosen:
1. We will, go up to 75 cards for every deck then sacrifice 15 cards from them in effort to only keep the best 60. How this will work: as soon as we ramp to 75 cards or more people may attempt to remove cards. You can still only participate once per day and it takes two "Votes" to remove a card. (Two different people must accept it. If a large group of people are against this we will discuss it in group.)
2. You can appeal to remove one card currently in the deck at anytime before it reaches 75 cards. If so you must state so in your post and people after may vote to keep or ''bury'' the card. I will take the 3 earliest people who voted after that post and it takes 3 or more negative votes to expulse a card from the deck. You may still suggest a card in a day that you try to remove one.
Any decision (card added or removed) that seems to be against the "Good of the Deck" (from now on will be abbreviated "GotD") will be left to a group decision.
Now to start things off my first card choice to go along with this will be Soldevi Digger. I figure this will allow us in case the card we wanted was the random discard to get it back next turn.
I'm sure there are some good "put top card of graveyard on top of your library" cards out there just couldn't think of any. I know black and green have that ability. I think we are stuck with R/U/W now though.
I think if our plan is fetching cards, with some random discard to dump things into the graveyard, then we should use Locket of Yesterdays to lower the cost of the cards we fetch. On top of that, with all of the random discard this deck will be doing, I see our graveyard filling up pretty quickly. Plus we need that extra mana to spend on Wild Research activations.
So yeah.

We really don't need 4. I think to many of a dormant artifact could become a hindrance in playing the deck.

I'd like to add Enlightened Tutor. It tutors for the deck's engine, that can be searched up by it, if we f.e. need the Digger, Locket, whatever other reason.
I allowed myself to set Digger and Research at two resp. three copies as no numbers were specified.
I propose a singleton honden of the cleansing wind, because that can be toolboxed, and if we run a singleton of each of the other ones in our colors we can do very well with them.
I tossed in a copy of Humility to go along with Moat in a neat little toolbox. I just really don't like creatures so I could be a little biased here.
Also, I voted against the Honden. The Honden just seems like they need to be built around on their own entirely. It also costs 5 mana which seems a little steep since it only becomes overly effective after you've played another shrine. Just my thoughts.
I'd like to put two Lockets and two Libraries (hint at a future suggestion ) on the chopping block and vote against the removal of Digger. Library and Digger have a similar function with Research, but ultimately Digger has more depth.

I vote to keep Digger also.
I have a couple decks that use wild research. One thing to keep in mind is that you won't be searching for a card with wild research till turn 3 and you won't be casting the card until turn 4. So this deck will need something to slow down aggro decks.
I really dig the honden idea....especially the blue one. Moat, we've got time to be controllish.
I just don't understand how Wild Research can't be worth way more money than it is. An enchantment that tutors for almost whatever that you want? Awesome, incredibly powerful, perhaps not quite as powerful as Survival of the Fittest, but very powerful. THIS is the kinda' card that's fun in GMAD IMHO :).
I think we can abuse the random discard aspect more. Such as cards that get better with more than one of them in the gy (hint, one of blue's best draw spells), cards that are better when cast from the GY, or madness cards even?
I've a number of things to suggest...just waiting to a) see if someone gets there first, and b)time where I can post another.
If we are playing 1 useful and key 1cc artifacts, and since we already have a "toolbox" theme going, then why don't we play Trinket Mage. Adding in this card lets us go down to 2x Locket and Leng.
Mystical Teachings x3. Because Toolboxing is really nice! Plus if it gets randomly discarded hey you can still flash it back (if we use Vivid Lands for mana fixing)
No need to backstab. I am all for keeping Soldevi Digger (I still throw it into decks all the time) as long as we don't have to remove Library of Leng.
Sensei's Diving Top works well with Trinket Mage. Mystical Teachings, on the other hand, doesn't work as well, in my opinion.

Added: 4x Think Twice. If we have nothing better to do on a turn, I don't see why we wouldn't want to dump mana into drawing a card. Also, it combos nicely if it gets discarded by Wild Reserach.

EDH: It's like a pillow fight, except occasionally someone pulls out a chainsaw.
If you suggest a card to add to a deck, suggest one to take out as well.
I feel like we need a few more enchantments to use as targets for the wild research. We have 32 non-lands and 4 lands at the moment. I think we have to many instants that don't really help that much. I vote to reduce think twice to 2x from 4x. Will help us free up some room for other things
Lastly I would like to vote against the removal of Honden of Seeing Winds as I think we should not remove this yet, and wait to see if we add the white Honden and the red Honden, if we have all three in the deck it greatly increases the utility of each of them.

I agree, Mystical Teachings isn't neccesary. It's really expensive to cast, redundant with Wild Research and requires a fourth colour to flashback.

After that I would like to nominate the following cards for removal:
1. Flame Burst: Because there are way better burn cards to choose from, like Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, and Flame Slash, also there are a lot of great removal cards that are better than it, like Swords to Plowshares , Path to Exile , and Condemn.
2. Locket of Yesterdays: We really don't have much with a high mana cost, so I just think this is a wasted spot.
3. Think Twice: Because there are better draw cards available to us, like Brainstorm, Deep Analysis, Compulsive Research, Thirst for Knowledge.
Lastly I would like to vote against the removal of Honden of Seeing Winds as I think we should not remove this yet, and wait to see if we add the white Honden and the red Honden, if we have all three in the deck it greatly increases the utility of each of them.
