Welcome everyone to this GMaD! So Many choices, but i had to pickGilder Bairn . I think there is a lot of potential for this little guy, and have always wanted to build a deck around him. so...... lets start it
so lets go nuts!!, and please lets try to not just make this a graft deck, i wanna see some off centered/interesting uses for him!!lol
Rules:
-Anyone can post and participate with one card per day. (But, you may suggest up to 4 copies.)
-Remember to always explain your suggestions, even when they are obvious.
-Avoid suggesting cards that are banned in Vintage.
-Avoid suggesting Unglued / Unhinged cards. Some exceptions can be made.
-Once the deck have clearly defined colors, avoid suggesting off-color cards unless there's really a good reason to splash for them.
-Decks will have 60 cards, unless there's a particular reason not to (Battle of Wits, for example).
- The changes will affect how those 60 cards a chosen:
1. We will, go up to 75 cards for every deck then sacrifice 15 cards from them in effort to only keep the best 60. How this will work: as soon as we ramp to 75 cards or more people may attempt to remove cards. You can still only participate once per day and it takes two "Votes" to remove a card. (Two different people must accept it. If a large group of people are against this we will discuss it in group.)
2. You can appeal to remove one card currently in the deck at anytime before it reaches 75 cards. If so you must state so in your post and people after may vote to keep or ''bury'' the card. I will take the 3 earliest people who voted after that post and it takes 3 or more negative votes to expulse a card from the deck. You may still suggest a card in a day that you try to remove one.
Any decision (card added or removed) that seems to be against the "Good of the Deck" (from now on will be abbreviated "GotD") will be left to a group decision.
Ok, then I've got a suggestion for your casual deck construction rules:2. No one's deck runs any answers to anything. Killing creatures, countering spells, destroying lands, redirecting abilities, forcing discards: all that stuff is totally not fun.
5. No one actually loses. Winning is fun, and we want everyone to have fun, so the first one to zero life points just wins, and so does everyone else. Then we can shuffle up and have more fun!
.
SonofaBith - Wizards was so excited about making the packaging for Modern Masters 2 recyclable, they decided to make most of the rares and all but 1 of the UC's recycle-bin ready too. Convenient!
+3 Garruk Wildspeaker, any planeswalker like the old Elspeth or Jace would do the trick, but Garruk looks fine because he accels mana, and once you feed him with enough counters, can start churning tokens to tap stuff with opposition and attack later, his ultimate is a win condition with enough creatures and even lets Gilder Bairn to attack without risking it too much.

Oooh ooh ooooh I have to suggest 2x Saproling Burst here. Those two are just too nuts together. The ramp and means to tap the 'Bairn' are yet missing, though.
I am sure that someone brave will be able to work them in.
Vote to remove Doubling Season, Bairn already does its thing quite well and if we want a substitute bairn for those times we don't draw one, cards with proliferate are better because they can affect the board by themselves.
Also, voting to remove Jace. It's over-used in almost every online deck that uses blue, and it brings the deck out of budget for anybody who might want to build the cardboard version of this deck.
As a replacement, I suggest tezzeret the seeker, he can tutor up creatures to protect him (epochrasite!!!), and he can accelerate both by untapping mana artifacts or by fetching artifact lands. He could even fetch a contagion clasp if you need some proliferate action.
good stuff guys, i can still suggest thing today right? well if not put it for tomorrow, Utopia vow, great for bairn, to tap, and can be used as a lock down in a pinch. im not gonna vote against paradise, but just suggest vow as a better option.
gonna vote against doubling season too, bairn dose great on his own, and second the anti jace 2.0 sentiment. also vote against static orb, dose not seem like we have enough ways to untap stuff, and if we did do we wanna dedicate slots to stuff like that??

Voting to remove Jace TMS and Doubling Season. I also vote to remove vow. Mantle is better since it doesn't die when the creature does. Voting to remove Tezzeret, we need to branch out too much to make him work as of right now.
Last, I vote to up the count of Saproling Burst to four. It's got interesting synergy with the deck and begins to fill out our upper curve nicely.
Just a note for Tezzeret, he can also fetch Paradise Mantle. Don't see how you can go too wrong by including maybe four or five 1-ofs as a tezzeret toolbox.
yeah i think if we go the tezz route, we tool box it up, we could put mantle to 2 mabey and have a bunch of 1 0r 2 off artifacts, and throw in some artie lands too,(banshee's blade!!) oh and note on vow, remember we can use it as a pacifism if need be

I cast my vote for 4 Tangle Wire. Singlehandedly locks down the board with Gilder Bairn until we win and is easily tutored with Tezzeret, which I think should stay in.

A way to control the board and tap the bairn without attacking at the same time.
EDIT: I assume he wants 4 bairns, right?
If you suggest a card to add to a deck, suggest one to take out as well.

What about replacing Quest for Renewal for Murkfiend Liege? It's a beatstick, untaps Gilder Bairn and Scute Mob, and gives them more power.
