Hey, all. So I've always been against Infect. I always thought it was a stupid ability, and that MaRo was silly for bringing back poison counters (and dumb for openly admitting there'd be no way to counter it). However, I was always attracted to its synergy with Tempered Steel. Thus, I recently succumbed to the femme fatale of Artifact Infect, and I'd like some help finalizing it before I actually acquire it.
Ok, so for some explanations/questions. Creature base should be pretty self-explanatory, but if I've somehow missed any good artifact-Infect cards, let me know. Armored Ascension works really well, I've found. It turns a Plague Myr into a two-turn-clock if played on t4, and jumps a creature in for a last strike if I can't break through. Tempered Steel makes the deck slam through poison counters, as it makes an Ichorclaw Myr a 3/3 that becomes a 5/5 if blocked. On turn 3 or 2, there's not much that can take 5 -1/-1 counters.
Rebuff the Wicked seems like a really helpful card, as what I'm gonna have a problem with is targeted removal. Bonesplitter has so far shown its worth, so I'll be using them over Infiltration Lens.
Swords to Plowshares is the dream removal in this deck. Non-graveyard removal with no side-effect for 1 mana? Yes please! Works out really well, but I feel like I maybe need more than 4 pieces of removal... Thoughts on what can be cut?
Also, I don't know about Inkmoth Nexus. I'm in love with the card, and becomes a 3/3 Wither blocker for 1 mana with Tempered Steel out, and can fly in those last few poison counters. Thing is, they're kind of expensive, and I don't want half the deck price to be two or three or four Inkmoths. Would they be worth it to this level of an aggro deck? I've only seen them truly utilized by UB Tezz Control, but I feel they wouldn't be too out of place here... So would it be worth it for me to consider trading for half a playset?
Yeah, so it's kind of a work in progress that's almost done. I'm considering waiting for Mirrodin Pure (I refuse to believe it'll be New Phy) to see what good 3 cmc ArtInfect cards they come out with, as Core Prowler, while acceptable, is really slow for 4 mana. I'm already considering taking it out for Phyrexian Digester, but PD is really, really bland... EDIT: Yeah, I took out CP for PD, and I'm gonna see how it does.
So what do you all think? Would I do better to wait the whole month before Pure is (pre)released? Or is MWI not going to get better?
Corpse Cur does that, but better... I'm only ever going to want to return Infect creatures, I wouldn't really care if Infiltration Lens or Anvil was destroyed.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
Those would be interesting, but they really are just worse Tempered Steels, for the same or even more mana. Also, what would you suggest removing for them, if I wanted to? I've been playtesting, and apart from a turn 1 Infect card, which there aren't any of, I don't really think I need that much else. It seems to mesh well, except for getting mana flooded, or not having enough creatures.
1 or 2 Marshal's Anthem may help if it gets to the late game.
I don't know maybe take out a land and a lens. I don't really like the lens maybe another equipment like Bonesplitter might be better. I think infect needs pump/evasion more than anything else because it is really an all-in, aggro strategy and if you don't take advantage of your opponent starting at 10 you lose it as the gain progresses.

Updated OP. Akroma's Blessing turned out to be too slow, as I could usually take someone out without needing to alpha strike. In its place went a fourth Phyrexian Digester and 3 Rebuff the Wickeds, as I think targeted removal will be a problem for this deck. Lemme know what else could be done.
Sounds intriguing, but usually I don't find a need to alpha strike... It takes few enough hits to get poison to 10 anyways. Plus, most of the deck is colorless artifacts or lands, so exiling a white card would be harder than you think.

2 Marshal's Anthem or 2 Glorious Anthem might help as extra pump for your creatures.

Some CA might help so Akroma's Blessing and Secluded Steppe could work as turn one plays.
Blasted Landscape could work here too.
Edit: Scroll Rack + Land Tax is pretty popular as mono white CA but I see your on a budget.
2nd Edit: Check out Rustic Clachan and Swell of Courage too.
I wouldn't go below 23 lands if I were you, but I have never played with Semblance Anvil.
I suspect you'll figure out the numbers when you play with the deck and I really feel strongly about getting rid of infiltration lens.
I like this build a lot and may make my own.
