hulk flash builds should hypothetically have a shot vs surging flame, but i think flame will still dominate the match-up.
Also, the disciple build is out-dated. the mogg fanatic loop is stronger.
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

Because he's the hero MTGS deserves, and the one it needs right now. So we'll global him. Because he can take it. Because he's not just our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. An expired rascal.

I think i should remind everyone that any "answer" deck needs to be able to stop wins from occurring on the first upkeep. If your deck can't get out its answer before the first main phase, it just won't work. I also am not convinced that leyline of anticipation builds will be able to deliver the goods.

I am coming to that conclusion as well. I thought of some kind of some janky hulk/flash set of creatures to play.
Since these decks other decks do not run creatures, any creature will do...so no fancy combo is needed. You just need to nullify their wins and attack in the red zone.
The problem is ensuring that you can hulk/flash turn 0. Serum Powder can help, but if you throw away too many of the toolbox, then you lose. Since it is a 2 card combo, you cannot guarantee combo pieces.
The other way to go would be a Leyline of Vitality only build of Leyline Deck Wins. You can survive chancellors with Nourishing Shoal and Gaea's Blessing. Problem is the surging flame deck. 4 life is just 2 more ripples. You just have to hope they do not win at the upkeep and you are going first.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.
Currently offering 2 non-foil Kolighan's Command for a Date Stamped foil!
I thought about a bunch a things but I couldn't get them to work either until I realized that you can play as many Serum Powders as you want.
I was looking at a bunch of Leyline decks Wins builds that were bad but if any deck can win turn0 with the right mulligan you can just play tons of Serums Powders to get there.
Also I know its way too slow but I just realized Mind Funeral kills every deck in the format.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
Also I know its way too slow but I just realized Mind Funeral kills every deck in the format.
Sorcery. 3 mana. doesn't kill ripple, even if it somehow resolves before the first ripple because ripple still packs 8 lands. from this, I think we can establish it can't kill ripple, and if it can't kill ripple, i don't think it works.
In other news, I think spires is completely unviable. Only one deck in the format right now actually cares about maintaining the 60-card benchmark (ripple). If spires and dross just get into a war of who can run the most, i don't think the mill condition as the primary approach is effective because non-ripple decks have nothing to lose by supersizing. Totally forgot about the extraction tech. Still don't think it is viable, but my above reasoning was wrong.

I just thought it was funny thats all. I know its not viable.
And technically it can kill ripple if just by chance because if you have 9 or less ripples left in your deck you can't win.
Anyways for some reason I thought you were running 2 Gemstone Mine so that might have actually worked.
As for the spires deck I only think it is weaker because Gaea's Blessing is much better hate than lifegain that has to be used turn0 since you can just wait for them it hit it and it screws them over.
However it may be stronger than dross because even if it fails to win initially on upkeep it can wait for the win becuase the opponent has less cards in their library.
In game 1, without hate in, 6 or 7 chancellors in hand will beat ripple.
I also like to imagine that he has a rotating torso (like a metallic graft that fuses his upper and lower body together), so he can spin all around, leveling everything within 20ft of him to rubble.
Simply remove the 3 Apes in response to whatever would kill you, cycle though your whole deck via Morphose, convert 2 red mana into blue ones, play BF, play Recall .... ? .... profit
i love the concept, but you're gonna need atleast 8 mana for that kind of build. 3 mana to get a 2 mana spell chain going? not gonna happen.

so you want to rely on being able to both spell snare AND extraction me, with only your starting 7 and before you even get a land drop? Way too unreliable, it amounts to needing a 3-5 card combo in your opening hand to even have a shot against me.
And without the spell snare (or other means of countering the first flame), the extraction is downright useless.
No, that is the point! How does the metagame adapt within those constraints? I didn't know about Ripple effects - that's a real beating - but older formats have all kinds of nasty things they can do already. Maybe you'd still be better off playing a standby, with like six copies of a staple card instead of four. After all, how long before you run into:

I have found a billion cards that can beat each strategy, but I cannot find a way to make a coherent deck from them.
Children of Korlis is the funniest card I found against Dross. Not sure if one Rain of Gore would be enough to steal a game.

Was referring to the deck you had quoted before
Not saying it's good, just saying it would work
360-cube - Suggestions welcome!
Maybe like this?:
4 Extirpate
4 Surgical Extraction
4 Gemstone Caverns
4 Serum Powder
4 Badlands
1 Red Sun's Zenith
1 Elixer of Immortality
this only will win verse ripple, but ripple might be strong enough for such a foil to be viable
