I would hardly call Selvaxri's post condescending or a rant, he is just explicitly clear, imho.
Yeah, my inherant tactlessness often comes across as abrasive.
this deck could prove interesting, if we had more a focused direction- which i why i'm proposing the "nudge the strategy ball" rule.
the generic "build a deck around XXX" has lead to such ransacked decks. with my Firebomber round, i simply suggested "not to make it a land destruction deck" giving it that extra nudge to create a different strategy-- which sorta made it that interesting control type deck.
we could have obligatorily thrown in some dredge creatures, with no real intention to play them. Golgari Brownscale + Phyrexian Reclamation + discard outlet...
unless people wanted to run Endbringer's Revel and give our opponents a chance to recur, the Reclamation was the optimal choice. Oversold Cemetery would have been good- one sided, but still conditional.

SELVAXRI! King of Misfortune & Master of Rocket Launchers "Do ya feel lucky? Because you'd better start runnin' while you still can." 375 Misfortune {+3 signed AP's} & 104 Rocket Launcher (41 AQ/ 63 Rev) Edgar Rice Burroughs, forgotten legend of the word.
The cutting phase actually took way too long to get to. Compared to most decks this one took forever and a day to assemble and finish
cutting phase takes too long to arrive -> someone mentions an out of place card (ensnaring bridge) -> people build around the out of place card -> we get a hodgepodge of two different strategies -> "why did we hit the cutting phase too soon"
Even if the author is silenced, the performance is stopped, the story will not end.
Whether it's a comedy or a tragedy, if there is cheering, the story will continue on.
Just like the many lives.
For the us who are still in it and still in the journey, send warm blessings.
- We will continue to walk down this path until eternity.
