If you really want to make it better, then give the Taunting Elf or Lowland Basilik First Strike!
If for some reason they lived through round one, then they would be dead the next round. Well, unless they cast something like Fog.
Your opponent will never have a creature out and as long as your pro black creature doesn't get destroyed by anything then you will always have a creature out!! They are not happy, but you are!!
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.
Modern:
DredgeVine EDH:
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Anima Standard:
Sac a creature with Hypnotist:
Target Opponent Discards two cards
Target Opponent sacrifices a creature (Grave Pact)
Create a 1/1 elf token for each card opponent discards (Nath)
Rinse and repeat until no hand.
If you really want to get nasty: Natural Affinity
Kill their lands with the tokens you just made.
Enter the Infinite + Shared Fate + Disenchant: Have out Shared Fate on the table. On your turn, play Enter the Infinite . As long as you have more cards in your library than they do, you will remove all their cards from their library from the game, since you would draw from their library instead. Then Disenchant Shared Fate , so when they draw, they draw from their own empty library, and you win!
Hatred + Essence Harvest: Play Hatred on your creature for 19 life. Play Essence Harvest on your creature. Wheee.
Look out for lightning bolts.
Thieves' Auction + Polluted Bonds or Thieves' Auction + Phage The Untouchanble: Both self explanatory and highly amusing, especially with Phage, as it will slowly dawn on your opponent (if you counted permanents right) that they will die when they are forced to pick it...
Chronozoa + Torpor Orb + Carrion Feeder
This is pretty nifty. Vanishing means the creature comes into play with time counters on it...except in this case it doesn't. Since it has no time counters when it dies, it comes back as two chronozoa...everytime they die, two more come back.
Sac em repeatedly to the Carrion Feeder = 25 sextillion flying Chronozoa and a 25 sextillion/25 sextillion Carrion Feeder.
Turns out Torpor Orb works great with many creatures with both Vanishing and fading, but this one is especially nasty.
Psychosis Crawler + Consecrated Sphinx + Prosperity
In multiplayer this will very often win you the game. Have out the two creatures. Play Prosperity for 5, for example, in a two-headed giant game. Your net draw of cards would be 25 cards, and your opponents would take 50 points of damage.
Vicious Shadows + Infernal Genesis + Engineered Plague
Have Infernal Genesis in play, and Engineered Plague naming Minions. With Vicious Shadows out, you can have each player take lots of damage each turn if they flip over anything with any mana cost on it. If you don't like the unpredictability of Infernal Genesis, give yourself tokens and kill them with Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder, Engineered Plague naming Thrulls) or anything giving yourself Saproling tokens, for example.
Vedalken Orrery + Mindslaver + Goblin Game
Have the Vedalken Orrery and Mindslaver in play. Mindslaver your opponent. During their turn, play Goblin Game. Make them hide 20 atoms of Einsteinium or Strontium or whatever. They die.
Not infinite, and lifegain tends to be cheap and easy to produce.
Did I mention that you can cast all 3 cards with 5 mana and 3 extra cards in hand? And then you have 6 cards again. Means you can generate 10 mana to cast one card.
Add City of Solitude and voila:
Draw your wincon, while opponentS are powerless.
Cast counterspell. Return Witness to your hand. Cast Eternal Witness, put counterspell back in hand. Rinse and repeat for the next and every opponent.
what's nice about it is these cards are actually good on their own, except glen elendra pranksters. But you can abuse that card in many ways so so badly.
Forest, Fastbond
-put swamp in, take 1 damage.
Dark Ritual
Crucible of Worlds
Zuran Orb.
Sac lands, gain 4 life.
Crucible: Recast lands: take 2 damage
Zuran and Crucible is infinite life and infinite mana.
Cast Ad Nauseam: Draw your deck.
Turn 1: tap your Forest, cast Tinder Wall. Sac. it for RR, then use that mana to cast B–TE. Use her free mana to cast Jund Hackblade. Since B–TE is multicoloured, your Hackblade is now a 3/2 with haste on turn 1.
Possibility Storm and Mana Maze - hey look, 1-color decks are locked out of playing spells and even more-than-1 color decks will have a struggle. Just build around so you don't also feel the pain.
Oh yes they are. Nothing is better than your opponent finally getting that game winning creature on the board only to have you to wipe it off like it's a lil 1/1!!!! However, I will have to say I hate it when it happens to me thought lol.
Correction turn 5. You swing on one opponent with all of your 2/2 and then you go after the other opponent with Lich lord affect generally by that point people have Pinged each other down enough to where the 14-15 damage youll seal the game
T1: Mana
T2: Mana + cheap 2 drop zombie if uve got it usually Roofstalker Wight my other 2 drop I can't remember atm
T3: Mana + Lich lord of unx
T4: Dark Ritual + Dark Ritual + Mana tap + Mana Tap + Army of the Damned
T5: Swing at opponent A + Lich lord effect on opponent B
It can be cheap countered but I've never had someone do it that early. Waiting on it tho.
not necessarily a combo per se, but more of a combat trick synergy is Wild Cantor and Hunger of the Howlpack. Sac the Wild Cantor to pay for the mana cost of HotH and create the Morbid effect to put 3 +1/+1 counters on another creature you control. works great against control cards that use damage.
another simple creature synergy is Seedcradle Witch and Steward of Valeron lets you attack with a 5/5 vigilance on turn 3 (assuming turn 1 Witch and turn 2 Steward), and still be able to tap the Steward for another green mana after combat for an additional 1 green mana spell. not too shabby.
Boggart Mob says combat damage triggers, so the creature needs to be attacking to have the effect. Sacking it would only net you a single point of damage, that's it. No extra goblin, no infinite combo.
