Trample in a 2/2 is moot, without buffs or equipment. The original Shocker was a quick turn-2 drop with some burn clearing the way. for these kinds of critters, evasion is better.

First strike and provoke is a very potent combination, but it still looks underwhelmig on a 2/2 for 5. Until you realize, that Daru Warchief is in the same block.
