Hey everyone! So after checking out my collection I stopped at one of my old favorite decks, my Golgari Dredge deck. The deck has not seen any upgrades or edits in a long time, so I figured I would Dredge it up and post it here so people could give me some constructive criticism as well as what the deck is lacking.
The goal of the deck was pretty simple. Play cheap and effective creatures that either fill my graveyard or can grow in size as the graveyard is filled. Often times if I couldn't somehow get damage through with my huge monsters, I had Jarad to sacrifice them to dish out tons of damage to my opponents. Many of the creatures in the deck are fairly resilient.
After taking a look at my old list, I realized I am running zero removal spells, which looking back I guess I didn't need but honeslty I could probably use some. Also, I wonder if I am running too many creatures like Boneyard Wurm and not enough utility creatures.
I think Boneyard Wurm is just fine, no need to remove them all. If you really need removal.. maybe cut 2 nighthowler, 1 Splinterfright, and 1 wurm to fit in a mix of Cast Down, darkblast and Abrupt Decay?
The new Necrotic Wound also fit right into this deck if you need removal.
I played a similar deck in Modern (GB Dredge, low budget, no combos or anything) a year or two ago, and while it may not be relevant to you, here's what I learned:
Since most cards I saw were in my opener or dredged, I wanted cards that were good in the opening hand or the graveyard.
I wanted a variety of effects that would see use from the grave. Cards like Darkblast, Golgari Brownscale, and Gnaw to the Bone are weak, but can turn a losing game around when needed. It also meant that effects like Bloodsoaked Champion and Scrapheap Scrounger didn't mix, since they both do basically the same thing.
Because I didn't have a good way to disrupt broken stuff (just Scavenging Ooze and Ghost Quarter), I wanted to enable quick wins.
The deck takes a few turns to wind up, so I turned to Noose Constrictor for defense, which is great at trading cards for tempo, especially on the draw, where you might be under a lot of pressure after your turns 2 and 3. I still had Lotleth Troll, but it doesn't defend as well on those critical turns. The new Stitcher's Supplier may be a good choice as well, enabling faster starts (its ETB ability mills a dredger about 56% of the time with 14 in the library, plus/minus about 3% for each dredger more/less than 14) and serving as a cheap blocker. It could be really cool with stuff like Cabal Therapy and Ichorid.

The most helpful thing for me was cutting Boneyard Wurm, Nighthowler, and Splinterfright. Those three made a lot of opening hands risky (relying on Satyr Wayfinder into a dredger, for example) or outright bad. They can't defend well during the vulnerable first few turns, and later Golgari Grave-Troll or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord serves the role of big finisher about as well.
