MTG Salvation

Considering the following:

- budget cards only - no more than $5 a card
- no banned / restricted cards
- cards from any set up until Invasion

Likely some sort of mono-black control. This isn't a deck, but just some cards I'd look at. Also, I didn't check prices, just skipped stuff that I know is expensive. There's two main themes here. One is near creatureless with only nether spirit and chimeric idol. This would use the rack for additional pressure on life total and be pure control. The other route is using stuff like Ravenous rats and abyssal gatekeeper as cheap expendable creatures that are easy to get back and recast. I guess there's also a third option in corrupt, drain life and tendrils of corruption.
