I may just have to steal some ideas...so, you don't mind if I use your list as a base?
Go for it! The list isn't as powerful as it could be, due to the limitations of being a scurvy-ridden sea dog, but it's a blast to play. Just be sure to brush up on yer Pirate speech.
also...how goes the Skullbriar build? He's very underrated in my opinion, but I have no idea how he is used!
We... don't talk about that... There remains the ghost of an idea.
In a nutshell, play skullbriar, beat people up, put more counters on skullbriar, beat people up, kill everything in your way, beat people up.
A lot of good cards have come out in recent sets for him, but what ghostly shell remained of his deck was recently cannibalized by Chainer.
There's another thing! How come Ambassador Laquatus doesn't get any love? =(
Probably because Oona is a better general for milling. You have blue, black's tutoring and kill/discard/etc, and then infinite mana into her ability exiles the deck, as opposed to Laquy just putting it in their grave.
I tried to theorize a Radha elfball list, but I just plain didn't like the look of it.
Galspanic mentioned Thada Adel; I actually like her quite a bit, I'm just not sure I could come up with a theme/mechanic/etc for the deck/thing/whatever.
I'm kinda disappointed with the all the current generals; Besides Vela who I'm actually kinda interested in building, I either have every general (built) that's interesting to me, or I'm bored to tears by (most of) the rest.
I've recently have been testing a Kangee, Aerie Keeper bird tribal deck and my god it can really dish out the pain. Using aggro with a bit of pillowfort, I can dish out early damage easily. As the game goes by, Kangee becomes an alpha strike general when you have even 2 birds out, easily dishing 15+ damage.
I have a Sakashima deck, he's awesome. I've always wanted to build a Sen Triplets deck, but I imagine people would just hate it off the table since people hate having their hands revealed and their cards stolen.
Even though he is probably never going to see the light of day as a EDH general except for me, my opinion for a fun underused general is Eron the Relentless. He is a 5 drop 5/2 red Rogue with haste and regeneration, which I feel makes up for the fact that he forces you to play mono-red.
Two oldies, but I think Skeleton Ship and Marton Stromgald have potential. The ship can do fun things with proliferate, and marton at the head of a goblin deck could be potent.
I'm building a Volrath the Fallen multiplayer EDH. I like that it is not too overpowered, but could be a threat of general damage.
Pseudo Hatred on a general is pretty good... Even better when it's repeatable. Not quite as dirty as ol' Skittles, but close.

If your play group allows it I built a 90 land Genju of the Realm. And it's a blast. Full it with 40ish duals/color fixing lands, 40 utility lands, Worldwake/10th Ed man lands, Mutavault, Mishra Factory, Blinkmoth/Inkmoth Nexus then Life from the Loam, P Titan, Horn of Greed and a few other fixers/accelerators. And have fun.

Skeleton Ship is so bad, but I've actually had a good time with it. The ability to knock off little utility creature, access the best two of the best colors in the format, and do crazy things with Proliferate is fun. Yes, my deck is designed not to win, but Ship is fun.
I happen to be a huge fan of creative decks, so here's a few:
Toshiro Umezawa
He happens to be rather mean, turning into a semi-voltron deck that just abuses the fact that you can kill (at least) two of their creatures every single turn and swing in with your general. Gets lots of goodstuff from black. This is one of the meanest decks I've ever built, but its both very good and not something you see often.
Wort, Boggart Auntie
I do play a lot of 1v1, but when you kill someone on turn 5-6 by just attacking with Goblins, its hilarious. I like fun, interesting games, but I also like beating face with Goblins. If you're competitive, you can run tutors and play the bunches of combos that use goblins. You'd be surprised at how easy it is to win a game with Skirk Fire Marshal. Points for comboing with Mogg Maniac. You can attack for 5-6 turns, then just hit them for either 10 or 20 in one shot. It's pretty incredible to see when it curves out. And c'mon....what EDH players with their Primeval Titans and their Consecrated Sphinxes are expecting to get runover by a horde of goblins?
Reaper King
Yeah, I know he sees lots of play with changelings and scarecrows, but here are some things you don't see people playing: Rush of Knowledge Manaplasm Torrent of Fire Burden of the Mighty
You can use the Bringers and build yourself a nice CMC matters deck. It's fun:) Cookies for playing Painter's Servant (if your group doesn't ban it, and does the smart thing and bans Iona instead), then pitching Draco to Burning Shoal and killing with general damage.
Wrexial, the Risen Deep also seems criminally underused. He's sooooo good. I'll also throw out Lovisa Cold-eyes, Dromar the Banisher, Crosis the Purger, Thada Adel, and Progenitus.

Reaper King is one of those decks I see online far more than in rl. In fact I've never seen a Reaper King deck in real life other than mine. Also, might just be the people I play with but Stonebrow, Krosan Hero gets highly underrated a lot. Also Seshiro, the Anointed, he's an absolute monster in snake tribal.

I sat down in a group game once and dropped Stonebrow as my general. A lot of people laughed. Then I after Heartbeat, Overabundance, and Genesis Wave, the table stopped laughing.
I have seen the Lovisa Coldeyes deck and it is TERRIFYING.
I'm finally getting around to building the Lovisa Giant/Warrior deck. I want to use a heavy anti magic/anti blue theme since Lovisa (and barbarians in general) eschew magic, but I don't want to gimp myself too badly. Can anyone suggest some cool cards to fit this theme?
She might be my next primer, just for some visibility. Seriously. Nin. Awesome.
I'd be interested in seeing that. I've gotten a Nin deck list about 3/4 done, but I've found your primers to be pretty good, and I'd like to see if I'm missing any particularly good-synergy stuff with Nin before I build that deck.
For pure fun, Ulasht, the Hate Seed is an amazing general that every meta should get to experience. I love love love playing Ulasht, and players usually agree that the deck is a fun and interesting challenge to play against.

nin is soooooooo good. its pretty easy to kill a table on like turn 4 with her. the beauty is that nobody ever sees it coming because she isnt a well known combo deck. if you decide to play nin as a fair general, shes still an excellent card drawing engine. defiantly does not see enough play.
If people are sick of reading about stuff just stop taking part. You have 100% control over what you read. Simic Ascendancy isn't going to get banned just because you didn't tell someone to shut up on the internet.

A friend of mine has a mono-white Angel deck, where Radiant was the general, but Avacyn has been put at the helm now.
