Probably my favorite card in the game. How does everyone like it? It seems okay in voltron and a decent kill spell, but does anyone actually find room for it?
It's freakin' amazing. Like ridiculous amazing. If it isn't ending games on the back of pumping a badass, it's doubling as a weird functioning killspell.
Hell, I've used it to kill my own unblocked Academy Rector. Shenanigans abound with this card.
I've used it to kill Dark Confidants, to get the LTB trigger on a Reveillark, and to kill with General Damage. It has a lot to play with it, especially when you can think of it as a splitcard Dismember/Might of Oaks
Best of green's one mana kill spells, for sure. Even better when the creature isn't attacking you.
Best of green's one mana pump spells. Puts games away.
Also, probably most expensive one mana green card ever. Won't have one for a while. Wouldn't mind having several.
Right now, it's in Kresh the Bloodbraided. Kresh might be one of the best decks possible for maximizing the use of Berserk for reasons that other people have mentioned. Unlike the other generals, Kresh needs evasion. Berserk is primarily in there for that reason and because a big Kresh can become a lethal Kresh with it. After that, sacrifice him to Greater Good if the game is not already over. Doubling the power of, say, a Consecrated Sphinx afraid to attack, then ensuring that it feeds Kresh's gameplan is extremely useful.
I compare the card to Hatred. I have only ever used Hatred in one deck: infect. I have absolutely no idea why I avoid the card. My best guess is that I do not consider Hatred interesting enough to warrant deck space. There's also the drawback of paying tons of life. Berserk is much cheaper to cast, can double as removal, gives trample, and does not require life loss, so it does make the cut for me.
I ran Fatal Frenzy till I was able to pick one up for my Uril, the Miststalker EDH. Picked it up a few months ago and its amazing. It ends games very quickly..

I've only ever seen it run in 1v1 Rafiq lists. It's a pretty sweet spell, but I'd have a hard time justifying it in a multiplayer voltron list.
I think it's easy to justify for my style. I'd love to combo it with Momentous Fall, Greater Good, or maybe the much more casual Hunter's Insight. Besides, if all is going well, you'll be able to last until the final two anyway. Hard to negotiate, but it could happen.
I need to build Rafiq soon; I've been putting it off for over a year...
I've been playing magic long enough to be on the receiving end of Ball Lightning Blood Lust and Berserk. It was awesome. Dying to a fling berserk is very very nice.

I had problems with this. I kept seeing it opening hands when playing my Thrun deck. In MP it is hard to use unless its like a FTW move or to stop yourself from loosing the game. Other than that it sucks to dump your commander in the bin when there are other opponents still kicking.
If you aren't "that guy" in your playgroup that everyone swings at because its you then I can see playing it a bit more as psudo removal. Pumping an opponents creature coming at me to kill it seems sort of sub par in a lot of situations.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
When I ran Riku, this definitely had a spot in there. Oftentimes, I'd swing with a hydra omnivore at whoever couldn't block - then berserk, copy berserk with riku, reap, repeat for lethal damage to everyone.

This thing is super good in my friend's cube. I wish I saw it in EDH more.

No problem!
It combines the best two things in Magic:
1) Hitting the opponent for 12 damage.
2) Seeing a Craw Wurm die.

One of my favorite plays in my Horde of Notions deck is casting berserk on a malignus or lord of extinction for lethal damage and sacrificing it to grab the reins to take another player out
