Playing with Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh against 4 opponents. One of them was already knocked out. At this point, some boardwipes had come through and the field was relatively empty, and I was ticking up Chandra Ablaze and Chandra, Bold Pyromancer, holding on to a Reforge the Soul while pitching cards to Ablaze. Ablaze is ready to ult but at this point the only instants & sorceries in my bin are Price of Progress, Blasphemous Act and Chaos Warp so nobody is particulary scared.
So I draw for my turn and what else but Faithless Looting would greet me. Naturally I cast it...and Decree of Annihilation straight from the top and Reforge the Soul went to the bin. Chandra ulted, Decree nuked everything, then cast Reforge the Soul and with 8 mana floating I could play various cards, another Chandra, and that was game.
THAT is how you use MLD.
As for Chandra being able to do this and not have the Decree nuke my GY before I can reforge the soul:
You cast red instant cards and red sorcery cards from your graveyard as part of the resolution of Chandra Ablaze’s third ability. You don’t choose which ones to cast until you’re actually doing so as the ability resolves. You cast only the ones you want to, and you may cast them in any order. Timing restrictions based on the card’s type (if it’s a sorcery) are ignored. Other restrictions are not (such as “Cast [this card] only during combat”). Each card you cast this way is put on the stack, then the ability finishes resolving. Those spells will then resolve as normal, one at a time, in the opposite order that they were put on the stack. They’ll go back to the graveyard as they resolve.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I have to admit, it took me a bit of digging to find out how this worked, but then I saw it in Ablaze's rulings...good to know. I may have to reacquire her for my Niv deck, in that case.
Yea, it's a bit of an obscure ruling as most folks just use that Chandra for her -2, so I copy pasted the important ruling into the post.

Lived the Blue dream the other night playing 4 player free for all with a Baral deck.
Hit one player with the Hinder + Tunnel Vision combo, then announced to everyone that if they didn't take me out before my next turn I win cuz I thought it'd be more fair that way.
My hand was Island, counter, Inspired Sphinx, Palinchron, High Tide, Stroke of Genius and Capsize was on top of my library.
They failed to take me out so, I play my 7th Island, play High Tide with Azcanta's blue, tap my islands, play Palinchron, untap my islands, return Palinchron to hand and make sure everyone understands the infinite mana. Then I play Capsize with buyback to return all their permanents to their hands, then Stroke of Genius to make one player draw his library plus one, then for good measure I play Inspired Sphinx and make a million Thopters to take out the last player on my next turn.
Inspired Sphinx tag didn't work:
When Inspired Sphinx enters the battlefield, draw cards equal to the number of opponents you have.
3 Blue: Create a 1/1 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying.
I rebuilt my U/G Momir Vig deck, but this time as a Elf + Wizard Tribal deck. When I first started built it, I remember wanting to play Soul Foundry and this was when people actually wanted to see Seedborn Muse banned.
I got to assemble Soul Foundry + Gilded Drake. Even without Seedborn Muse, you can see how that's crazy. Well, I got to steal a Scarab God and a Nikya of the Old Ways from two players. A third player player (mono-black) had an Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth with his Cabal Coffers. Even though I pretty much only played on curve, it was pretty easy to finish the game in 3-on-1 mode.
I typically don't include infinite combos in my decks, but when they do come up I find them kinda funny.
Playing my Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder "Stax" deck (I put Stax in quotes because although the deck is hostile to permanents, it doesn't run any outright mana denial cards) and I got out an T3 Ashnod's Altar followed by T4 Pitiless Plunderer. I figured I would be rolling in the mana once I got Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder into play on T5, but I needed another creature to start making Thrulls. So I topdecked a Smothering Abomination and played it without thinking, and as I reached for my Thrull tokens one of my opponents says "Wait a minute... don't you just win?"
After looking at it for a few seconds, I realize that I can pretty much draw my entire deck generating a ton of mana along the way. Everyone is tapped out or almost tapped out and I ask if anyone has a response, and nobody does. Since the "combo" is predicated on me drawing actual creatures to play, we play it out by me sacrificing the 4 Thrulls and drawing into a 6-drop. I cast it for 6 Thrulls, sac'd them, and drew 4 more creatures, and that was enough to draw concessions from everyone as a lethal Exsanguinate was all but assured.
I guess it just goes to show you that certain cards like Ashnod's Altar are busted even when you are not trying to break them...
Oloro took early lead and life total started creeping up, so naturally he became archenemy - he came very close to Exquisite/Sanguine win. I responded to him casting the second of the two with Unexpectedly Absent for 0, putting the other on top of his library to save us a turn. My turn swung around and I cast Cleansing Nova for artifacts and enchantments to remove the remaining piece.
I got on a great roll with Emeria Shepherd and land drops, hitting Solemn Simulacrum for more landfall. After a couple of turns I had far more land than anyone else in play, landed Avacyn, Angel of Hope, landfell Solemn Simulacrum again, hit another plains and brought back Lyra Dawnbringer. I stomped Oloro to mostly dead then the tables turned. Kalitas had Caged Sun in play with about 9 lands, hit Exsanguinate for 16 to gain 48 life. That put me down to about 75 life, I got rid of Oloro with commander damage, then Kalitas drops Crypt Ghast and casts Torment of Hailfire for 19. I was able to survive by discarding the dross from hand and taking 42 life.
I lost shortly after, and Arcades super-lost to Torment. But I was proud to take two of the biggest win cons mono black has and still be alive
I typically don't include infinite combos in my decks, but when they do come up I find them kinda funny.
I guess it just goes to show you that certain cards like Ashnod's Altar are busted even when you are not trying to break them...
Do you get to say that last part if you're building around Enrek Shar? I love Endrek, underplayed.
If you don't want infinites, you pretty much have to not use any free activated abilities and not play any mana producer that makes more than its cost.

I think so. I mean, Endrek Sahr + Ashnod's Altar by itself is not an infinite loop even with a card draw mechanism in play as you need to be able to generate black mana somehow. With Phyrexian Altar, you get the black mana but usually not enough to keep going. In this instance, having Ashnod's Altar AND Pitiless Plunderer gave me tons of mana, both black and colorless. At that point, Krav, the Unredeemed is probably infinite, Thallid Soothsayer and Vampiric Rites might be infinite, but only Smothering Abomination and Razaketh, the Foulblooded are going to be almost guaranteed to be infinite. In all of these situations, none of these are truly infinite combos and require you to play it out to see if you "get there" or not, and having that particular combination of cards all in play at once has been rare enough to not happen till now (although I haven't been running Pitiless Plunderer for very long as it just came out about a year ago).
...and 4 other creatures already on the field, ready to attack.
They ended up getting +17/+17 apiece, punching through a 40-toughness board and taking out the owner from more-than-full life (he'd been using Twilight Prophet to drain us considerably). Other opponent couldn't stop me from finishing him off on my next turn.
In a game last night, I repeatedly attacked with an unbuffed Hermit Druid. Never activated its ability.
I won that game.
I had one of these the other day. Had a MLD spell that wiped out the table, and I drew into literally no lands, no ramp spells or nothing. So I persistently swung with Glissa, the Traitor and Ravenous Chupacabra until the table died. Far from glamorous, but no one could answer it. It's not an exciting win, but desperate times right?
Trying out my new Teysa Karlov deck in multi-player for the first time last night, ended up saccing a Seraph of the Scales to Maw of the Obzedat with Teysa, Orzhov Scion, Teysa Karlov, Zulaport Cutthroat and Wayward Disciple on my board. Even took me by surprise just how much life-loss could ensue: 1 sac became 15 sacs, dishing out 120 life-loss and killing everyone, incidentally netting me 60 life-gain in the process. I know Aristocrats archetypes are nothing new, but it was just a crazy moment to see it all go off so spectacularly on its very first outing. My only lands were 3 swamps in the entire game too
I was playing Breya Treasures the other night, had a Vedalken Orrery out plus Sharding Sphinx, a couple of mana rocks, and 12 thopters plus ten treasures from Smothering Tithe (which had been removed earlier).
I flash in Purphoros, God of the Forge at EOT, then take my turn and go to swing with the Sphinx and thopters. Given the 16 combat damage plus more thopters coming in to trigger Purphoros, this attack will kill both of my remaining opponents. SUDDENLY, they use removal on both Purphoros and the Sphinx! Now I am totally open to crackbacks with no blockers.
The next player is running Marchesa, the Black Rose and doesn't have much offense right now - he hits me with something but I'm still at 10 or so life. However, the next guy is running Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, and he's got a few creatures with +1/+1 counters on them. He swings in with over 20 damage coming.
I flash in Duplicant and exile his biggest creature, then block the next biggest with the Duplicant. Also his Heliod, God of the Sun loses devotion and I survive. At his EOT I sac a treasure for black mana and flash in Revel in Riches with 10 treasures on the table. The Anafenza player immediately removes it with Fate Forgotten. Since I still have about 20 blue floating from Vault of Cataclan, I then flash in Mechanized Production on a thopter, untap and win. If they had removed that, I could still have flashed in Hellkite Tyrant too!
Early in the game, and Isperia lands Rhystic Study. Karador gets out Astral Slide, the Kenriths got a Murmuring Mystic, and I draw, play land, and pass. Isperia draws, and with Karador tapped out, drops Cloudchaser Eagle in order to get rid of the Slide. Trigger on the stack, and I cycle my Shefet Monitor, prompting Karador to target the Eagle. What he didn't realize was that the Eagle has a mandatory trigger...so pop went the only other enchantment on the field, the Rhystic Study.
Felt just so good.

Then after the first extra combat step, and killing 2 of the 3 opponents left in the game, the last guy casts oblation on my dragon, making me draw into an empty library.
On monday I was playing my Sheoldred, Whispering One deck and I had a reasonable hand, but then one of my opponents enabled me to do one of the craziest things I've ever done.
On turn 2, I played Apprentice Necromancer, and then the next player (on a Neheb 1.0 deck) played out Anvil of Bogardan.
On my next turn, I discarded Geode Golem to Anvil and then reanimated it with Apprentice Necromancer. This let me swing in and cast my 7-drop commander for free on turn 3 before anyone had a chance to set up any sort of board presence. It was hella sweet.

How are you liking Geode Golem? Seems sweet on turn 3 with haste, but i imagine a lot of the time it is not doing as much.
Nice! Its like when I won through Humility with my Ruhan of the Fomori giant tribal deck. I had Aggravated Assault out and attacked every round against the Humility controller multiple times, 1 damage a time. Funny thing is that it did let me choose who I wanted to attack.
Nice play!

I play Geode Golem in Kozilek v1 and v2 and it rarely gets to stick.I've attacked like, four times with it and it connected twice. Really sweet both of the times. I do run the two boots to give it haste so it has some support.
I should run that thing in Zacama, Primal Calamity. I'm sure nothing would ever go wrong with that.

Nice! Its like when I won through Humility with my Ruhan of the Fomori giant tribal deck. I had Aggravated Assault out and attacked every round against the Humility controller multiple times, 1 damage a time. Funny thing is that it did let me choose who I wanted to attack.
I play Geode Golem in Kozilek v1 and v2 and it rarely gets to stick.I've attacked like, four times with it and it connected twice. Really sweet both of the times. I do run the two boots to give it haste so it has some support.
Who needs Colours?
