Considering Smelt is a card, I feel like this isn't playable. The only situation where it is better where you went first turn Mountain -> something, and you now don't have the mana for smelt, but direly need to destroy an artifact.
That scenario is pretty narrow. Maybe if you really need the artifact hate, you could play this AND Smelt, but I'm willing to bet that you don't actually need to (also, Ingot Chewer destroys an artifact for R, albeit not at instant speed).
Hmmm...there's not a whole lot of artifacts that must absolutely die at instant speed. And even then, if you do see them, they can usually do their deed before you blow it up. So, with that said, this card should only be run if you're playing

Yea, as long as Smelt exists, you won't need Crash unless you REALLY need that free artifact hate. If it cost 2, I would consider it, but even then you have Smash to Smithereens . Artifact hate is cheap enough that I don't think paying a land is worth it.
Mogg Salvage is my go-to free artifact removal in red. The chance that there's not an opponent with islands ? Probably less than there being a good target for this.

That's a very nice card. In the situation where you HAVE to blow up an artifact during someone's combo turn, chances are that person has islands. Just in my personal experience.

And even that doesn't stop some artifact combos.
