Hi all! Took me a bit to dig this thread up. Any chance we could sticky it?
Anyway... Taking a stab at self promotion... here we go.
I write for MTGCasualPlay.com. We are a small group of amateur, misfit writers. We released three articles this week...
Tiny Leaders! I'm With ya (by Myself)
Goblin Matron - Uncommon Sense (by Tom Dawson)
and Attacking Left (Kuchisama written for multiplayer, but the format can be transferred to Commander)
I am also still working on a new website, MagicEDH.com. On this site I have included links to Commander/EDH articles (in a very similar fashion to the RADAR page here on MTGSalvation.com): MagicEDH.com.
If you are a small blog or website with an RSS feed and want links to your commander articles added, let me know and I'll get ya in there. (Who doesn't want free links and traffic to their articles, right? )
Hopefully I'm not out-of-bounds on my self promotion... have a great weekend everybody!

I recently wrote a post on my EDH blog about Wrath of God effects that have been printed since 2012. It turns out that there have been a lot of different sweeper spells printed in the last three years, many of which are pretty cool. A friend of mine pointed out that this would be a useful post for newer players to see, and that I should link to it in this forum for everyone to read.
Without any further ado, here's the link, for anyone who wanted to take a look:
I wouldn't really call Eye of Doom a "sweeper", since it only destroys up to 1 permanent per player in the game (possibly fewer, since people could put their doom counter on the same permanent as someone else).
Also, I noticed you mentioned a friend named Darby with a Hidetsugu deck. You wouldn't happen to be in the Dallas, TX area, would you?
The comment about mana cost not really being an issue...that's derpy as heck man The reason Wrath of God and Damnation are so highly played in EDH is because they pop on turn 3 a lot of times, which is scarily relevant against tuned decks.
The value of cheap wraths really depends on the meta. Wrath of God, Day of Judgement, Damnation, and so on are rarely bad, but these days I'm facing various B+ decks with heavy reanimation packages and at least one spellsinger combo deck with Riku of Two Reflections as the main if not only creature. Against such opposition, Hallowed Burial and Terminus seem significantly better than four-mana wraths.

Definitely meta specific. That said, for reanimator decks I like exile and grave hate (scavenging oooooze!) more most of the time than tucks. I see a lot of chord/gsz/birthing pod/natural order type stuff though. I may try Terminus out soon though, on account of ye old maelstrom wanderer ugh.
If you need an exile wrath (and you don't want to splash black for Merciless Eviction), Final Judgment gets the nod, although it is older than 2012. Terminus is good if you need a tuck wrath.

I am looking for Date Stamped promos from Khans of Tarkir block so I can finish my set. Check my wants if you have any.

I highly recommend EVERYONE copy the way SCG did/does their VS series. Top and Go productions did an ok job with theirs but the camera angle was often a problem. You need to either record the audio of the table play or have a pretty good narration voice. I highly doubt very many people will sign up to watch a video of EDH with trance/techno time and time again. To me, it puts even more of a wall up between the viewer and the game.
Look into "Gameplays by Clonehead". The editing is top notch with visual cues and entertainment value (Comedic visuals). The camera work is great. The commentary is relevant, brief and witty. The small editions such as the "Card of the Game" and unedited video feed depicting the players is icing. The SCG commentary feels forced with little synergy between players. Many videos feel drawn out, not because of the game, but there is little to say; words seem to dribble without much impact throughout the majority of the game. The few minutes spent at the end of each VS video feels like a terrible version of "The moral of the story is..." lesson of a 2nd grader.
Yup im a big fan of clonehead material, sadly we dont speak english so i cant put the audio from the videos and im currently not doing commentary on them by the same reason.

Keep brewing.
I can see your point of view on some of the SCG commentary. That being said, I overly enjoyed the David McDarby vs Danny West videos the most. Once David left I unsubscribed to the channel. What got me about those two was the dynamic they had with each other. The table banter has always been a significant attraction to Magic. That's probably why I do not play competitive at all. Thus, the back and forth between the two was enjoyable to watch and simply listen too in the background.
Right now it is just on Google Docs. I appreciate any feedback.
I would also love if someone double-checked my math and grammar.
I was disappointed since it was your article. I would have wrote one large article or perhaps released them all at once, it was more of a history lesson I did not need and then nothing substantially leaving me with a feeling of " when is he going to start talking about the interesting stuff" then it just ends. I'm a fairly poor writer myself but I feel like the TLDR would be " here is the history of mulligan rules and a few nearly irrelevant simple odds tables" I feel like you spent more time on doing the math which in my opinon is useless since you failed to explain any of the complexities of what constitutes a keep able hand and kept everything far too simplified. On an up note the articles you link are very good articles and I still <3 you.

Makes sense. It basically is a history lesson that sets up a baseline for the heavy math later. I have about another one and a half articles written; on your recommendation, I will wait to publish the series as a whole rather than piecemeal it.
You're right; I have done a LOT of math. I lost about a month of work when I realized my model for Partial Paris mulligans was inaccurate. My Google drive is filled with spreadsheets tens of thousands of lines long, and I'm looking forward to being able to condense it into a presentable form. But I'll be honest moxnix, I think that capturing every factor that constitutes a keepable hand (number of land, number of nonland, having some "action", knowing which cards are important, and so on) is beyond what I can do in my free time. I have to keep it manageable. For example, my current challenge is "Using Partial Paris mulligans, what is the average hand size of a keepable opening hand?" It's not a trivial problem, so I have to make assumptions to get anywhere.
Keep the feedback coming. I hope you are not still disappointed by the time I am finished.
In this article, we discover how to combat commanders, which sometimes pop up in Commander. From exiling to sacrificing to countering them, just because you can't tuck them doesn't mean they're invincible. We look over several options a player has when looking at removal, looking at each color's capabilities in regards to typical removal methods, such as exile, tuck, sacrifice, theft, and prison.
I recently posted my first (of many) EDH gameplay videos, a two-headed giant game where I was playing Thraximundar, my buddy was on Talrand, and we were doing battle against Narset and Circu. I plan on releasing a lot more videos on commander regularly, and would love to get some feedback. Here is the video
