Never have the right deck that can use this. Even when Siren's Call was around, I never could form a deck that made this worthwhile. I could imagine it being quite nice in those decks, though...
Well, besides the fact that it basically gives you a free Collective Unconscious next turn, yeah.
Anyway, Siren's the type of card that, I really think WUmight be able to use. It does have synergy with Spear of Heliod, but so does Bident.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Worse than a fog against creature attacks, loses to most combos as they can just kill you the next turn, shine's abundantly when your game plan gets too close to killing yourself.

Zedruu: "This deck is not only able to go crazy - it also needs to do so."
It's one of the broadest panic buttons you can hit in a Sunforger toolbox, which has to count for something. Sure it's often just a bad Holy Day, but it can also let you survive a lethal burn spell or a 1-shot combo. And you don't even need to worry about it being countered.
the card that often makes Ad Nauseam cost 6 and not 5
Killed the other day by a Selenia, Dark Angel shenannigans deck that cast that before going to 0 and casting Repay in Kind while everyone else was tapped out

As a way of keeping yourself alive when you're opponents' actions would otherwise kill you, it's not particularly good as it still leaves you in a very vulnerable position. As a way of keeping yourself alive when your actions would otherwise kill you, it's a lot, lot better, as you're probably going to win off of whatever took you to zero life. And of course, if you're running it for things like Ad Nauseam, having the option to use it as a Fog if necessary is a nice added bonus.
If life loss (not damage) is used to take you to 0, you lose at EOT.
If you take 21 Commander damage, you lose at EOT. (What are the rules if you take 21 Commander damage under a "can't lose the game" card, then take out the ne who dealt 21 Commander damage to you, and then lose the "can't lose the game" effect?)
If you take 10 poison counters, you lose at EOT.
If you're milled to death, you lose when you draw your next card after EOT.
If damage takes you to 1, expect a red or black direct damage spell at the player to your left's upkeep.
All that said, Dominaria has a new card, also of the "can't lose the game" family, that loves this.

If someone is comboing out and you use this it can keep you in the game/cause them to fizzle. If you use it with Ad Nauseam you are going for the win that turn anyway and either win or fizzle in a dramatic fashion.
Basically it's good in a competitive combo heavy meta.
Some combos wouldn't last after the turn they win, so being able to survive it removes it as a threat, and lets it beat your opponents.

Onering's 4 simple steps that let you solve any problem with Magic's gameplay
Whether its blue players countering your spells, red players burning you out, or combo, if you have a problem with an aspect of Magic's gameplay, you can fix it!
Step 1: Identify the problem. What aspect of Magic don't you like? Step 2: Find out how others deal with the problem. How do players deal with this aspect of the game when they run into it? Step 3: Do what those players do. Step 4: No more problem. Bonus: You are now better at Magic. Enjoy those extra wins!
I actually was surprised she was reprinted in Tenth Edition. (First strike on green.)
Mirri and I are kind of interesting. My inner Melvin thinks she's a hot mess (a 2/3 with first strike, and forestwalk to boot!) But still, she was one of my first commanders.
Her Planar Chaos version is more consistent, design-wise. Apparently creative thought "Hey, let's screw her in every timeline!"
And now we have Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist, which is awesome because I love Silent Arbiter (when it's not played against me), and now I can have it as a Commander.
Also, every time I see Weatherlight or Predator or Hope of Ghirapur or Heart of Kiran or literally any ship from Ixalan, I know Beleren needs an italic version. It takes like, literally five minutes to design an italic version of a font.

Haven't seen the old art on this one in a long time. It's a little more fun to get hit by than Nicol Bolas, but that glimmer of hope that they guess wrong only lasts a turn.

I’d play the heck out of him if I could only play with Painter’s Servant. Otherwise, I’m ok with paying the extra 2 for the OG. Either way, I almost want to say that this dragon cycle is the starting point of every fledgling commander player.

Much better costed than Bolas, therefore it has potential even if it only hit one color at a time. In EDH, it's unlikely you'll guess wrong on opponent's deck color.

Mirri, Cat Warrior counts as a Cat Warrior.
Two things - my favourite Weatherlight character, and my favourite redundant rules text. Not in just one statement, but two.
