And no please don't suggest Atraxa. Don't get me wrong, I love Atraxa. She's a dope ass card and as someone who loves the **** out of phyrexia's lore (and owns a copy of Atraxa) I'd love to build her. That being said I can't build her for two reasons: 1) She's HELLA overused 2) someone in my playgroup already has Atraxa superfriends. Ok so I COULD build her but the reasons present are enough to deter me. Do any of you have a commander you dig for Superfriends outside of Atraxa? I considered Sen Triplets and Narset but I'm still unsure as to what I want to do. Alternatively if someone feels they can offer something unique enough to warrant building Atraxa then I'd love to hear it. Anyways thank you all very much for the offers and suggestions.
Gideon tribal with Djeru, With Eyes Open? You’d get Ajani and Elspeth too. Might actually be pretty good in a tokens/go wide build. Throw in a few flicker or blink effects to keep tutoring walkers. Sounds fun to me, and refreshing from an Atraxa build.
The only time I've been impressed with a superfriends list was with a Sliver Hivelord deck. It works because it protects your walkers and survives all the wraths. Wraths are good with walkers.
I have been sorta brewing a Reaper King superfriends with all the Conspiracy type cards. Wouldn't it be better if each token came with a vindicate?
Angus Mackenzie is the other way to go, if you feel like dishing out the money.
I used Ramos. He was pretty good. Being colorless he is easy to cast and provide you with all 5 colors available. (Plus when you cast enough spells... WWUUBBRRGG
As of Ixalan, Captain Sisay now tutors for planeswalkers and adding green as well as white (over running Djeru, for instance) lets you run more powerful planeswalkers AND Doubling Season. In addition to tutoring planeswalkers and of course creatures, you also get to tutor for great defensive cards like Kor Haven to protect the planeswalker army, ramp tools like Gaea's Cradle, Growing Rites of Itlimoc, and Oath of Ajani, and The Chain Veil to spam out abilities.
Most Stax Commanders offer good options. Rule of Law and Arcane Laboratory won't hurt you as much. (You can also use spellshapers or cards like Trading Post for the same reason.) Nor will Winter Orb, especially if you're playing green. This also gives you another option, later Propaganda effects (like Sphere of Safety) go well with Superfriends, and both they and cards like Rhystic Study go great with Winter Orb.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Monocolored is a lot better post-Ixalan since you can now have 4 Gideons and 3 Nissas on the field simultaneously, and for the same reason that I like my Tribal Commander to be in-tribe, I do like my "Superfriends" Commander to be a planeswalker, so I think all of the Planeswalker Commanders but especially Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury and Nahiri, the Lithomancer, deserve a mention as well.

I used Narset, Enlightened Master for mine. Granted, Narset has a reputation for creating saltiness, but it was a fun build for me regardless, and given its far from optimal, you never know, it might not be quite so bad. I don't play it anymore, but even with some of the weaker walkers she did alright.
While I consider it more "counters matter" than "superfriends", my Vorel of the Hull Clade does run enough walkers that I feel justified playing The Chain Veil.

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis offer a great defensive body and in terms of setting up infinite comboes with planeswalkers, blue and red are what are most needed as most of those combos rely on Teferi, Temporal Archmage and/or Ral Zarek and/or Saheeli Rai and/or Tezzeret the Seeker being able to untap mana rocks and The Chain Veil over and over (Rings of Brighthearth or Kurkesh, Onakke Ancient assistance may be required). Just like Atraxa, you also have the ability to just "game over" the table if you stick Doubling Season and then resolve Tamiyo, Field Researcher, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon, or Jace, Architect of Thought (which all get to immediately ultimate and most likely chain into even more ultimate-ing planeswalkers)

It's true Vorel can't target planeswalkers (though Gilder Bairn can), but he can do things like double the counters on Astral Cornucopia which can be untapped by Tezzeret the Seeker or Teferi, Temporal Archmage. He can double the counters on Tangle Wire to tap my opponents down while I tick up my walkers. And so on.
