I remembered a super oldschool card that might be good in this general depending on the build - Martyr's Cry. It's likely most builds will make a crapload of spirits, which you can exile for a crapload of cards to keep going, sacc'ing a few of them to float mana to recast your general even if necessary.
I can definitely see that, though because this deck also has blue in it, it's possible to draw just as efficiently without endangering your board.

Throw in something like a Izzet Cluestone and it is indeed infinite damage. Without that mana rock, you would only be generating mana but not enough to actually pay for View from Above repeatedly.
