Decklist:

So my meta is not really competitive (most commanders are generally not cEDH material and everything is pretty budget). I'm looking to make the deck better. My most recent changes were more basic lands because I lost some games due to things like Dwarven Miner or lands that enter tapped. Also I added some defensive measures because I got out-aggro'd multiple times by Boros.

I thought about Collector Ouphe to hate on manarocks, equipment and vehicles. Or for some more expensive things maybe Spikefeeder/Archangel of Thune or Arachnogenesis.

Generally I'm looking for any cards that will make the deck more competitive while staying true to the style and not being expensive (< 10$).

Maybe someone can help. Thanks in advance for any advice!

If you want to make your deck better I think the best way to do that is to make it faster. I noticed that you have a lot of redundant expensive cards and not that much ramp and most of your ramp costs a lot of mana. Green has a ton 1 cmc elves (eg. llanowar elves). I would look into jamming as many as possible. I would avoid mana ramp that costs more than 1 mana with except maybe for priest of titania.

Next up more card draw. You only have Shamanic Revelation as your "big card draw" spell and I would definitely run more.

I could definitely run some Llanowar Elves and Avacyn's Pilgrim. On the other hand, I often find lands preferable, because my meta has Etrata, the silencer, but almost no land destruction. But I could remove something like Seedguide Ash, which is probaly one of the card you mean, when you say, ramp that costs a lot of mana. Maybe rather use Joraga Treespeaker or something like that.

What redundant expensive pieces do you mean and can you recomment some draw spell that do not rely on a big creature, i.e. unlike Momentous Fall?

Is this for multi or duels? If multi, Seedborn muse and other untappers are generally very nice.

Mirror Entity is nasty, because many of your creatures are small.

All the cards that make mana based on number of elves are very strong, ecspecially the cheaper ones (I run the ones costing less than 4). Most are creatures but there is an aura too. Note, you do not need more elves really for these to be strong.

Gaea's cradle is absurdly powerful, but quite a bit outside your prize range (that plus a ton of ways to find it is how you start winning around turn 4, which does mean that this would be a bad idea).

Earthcraft is also outside your price range, but much closer and also very strong (ecspecially if you use things like wild growth or utopia sprawl over the mana elves suggested by others).

Cards I find funny (i.e. seems good but are perhaps not good enough for a truely competive deck, which seems to suit you): Nacatl War-Pride (remember not to remove the copied tokens if you activate Rhys after attacking) and many of the make a token copy of arbitrary creatures (same reason: you want to copy them).

Growing Rites of Itlimoc is worth considering for additional burst of mana, and gets to Storm Herd that much quicker.

So thanks for all the advice given so far. I used my own ideas from before as well as the suggestions from this thread to come up with a new list:



I added Collector Ouphe and Spike Feeder/Archangel of Thune combo as well as many of the things suggested her, including Mana Elves, more draw, Mirror Entity and Growing Rites of Itlimoc.

Unfortunately I'm still 6 cards above the 99, so I'm looking for advice on what to cut. Obviously I would also like some comments on the list in general.
