I also highly recommend you look up Moxnix's Youtube channel with his Deck Techs. Very useful in understanding all the card decisions for their roles, interactions etc.
Primal Amulet is good with cabal ritual and possible red rituals. The spells from urza block that untapp also works good here. Also notice that flipping it is optional, so you can flip it before you cast demonic tutor, wind fall if past in flames is in the yeard, some of the untapp cards like time spiral and float mana etc. I think it can be a good adition to the deck. Also the untap cards can untapp the land getting me even more spells.
For a budget I have to sacrefice speed. But I really need a way to 'break the mana barrier', getting more mana each turn. Adn the card draw barrier, but ad nasium and similar will help a lott.

I have dyslexia, no I am not going to spell check for you, yes you have to live with the horrors of it.
Time spiral is most definitely in there and is good as both a wheel and with High Tide. Red is just a small splash in this deck with blue being the primary color so when playing it out you usually want to hit a critical number of islands and just enough black/red sources as needed if going that route.
Unfortunately Volcanic Island and Underground Sea are two of the lands in the list I don't own so I am stuck taking Watery Grave and suffering the shock damage which isn't terrible but can affect Ad Nauseam plays.
I honestly didn't even remember what Amulet flipped to. I was only concerned with the front face. I don't think you would ever want to flip it.
While Primal Amulet is good, Primal Wellspring is very good with any of the efects that untap lands. Also note that the flip is optional, so you can wait til flip it until it suits you.

Since I don't own a Timetwister and given how powerful it is in this deck and in general...I wonder if I should consider running Time Reversal in its place? Not near as powerful but it at least gives the same effect one time even if it is more expensive.
Hello, I've always been a fan of storm and doomsday lists and have been slowly accumulated a collection of broken cards. I've never managed to secure a candelabra of tawnos due to its ridiculous price tag. Would you replace it with another infinite combo, or a cantrip? Similarly, I don't have any original duals. How should I best prepare my manabase to consistently gush and high tide? I've normally just included one-two more lands than normal to try and compensate, while still leaving the island count the same.
I have everything in the deck including Timetwister, except for the original duals, grim tutor, and candelabra of tawnos, disregarding the individual prices of these cards, which should I acquire first which would produce the greatest increase in the deck's power?
I'm leaning towards Duress, but I was hoping you would weight in. I understand that as you run it, Pact of Negation is the best to exclude of these, but it's just something I want to do. I simply love Pact of Negation too much for when the deck goes off, even if it costs me a game here or there. Gilded Lotus is probably the last of the above that I would cut, but it has hurt me a few games simply for it's costing 5. You're thoughts?
While Dramatic Reversal is no Turnabout, the combo with Isochron Scepter does make infinite mana real easy. I see this combo a lot in cEDH decks, although those lists have a lot of mana dorks (birds, hierarch, etc) which make this card make more than just infinite colorless, but we have Gilded Lotus, Dimir Signet, Mox Diamond, Mox Opal, and Chrome Mox. Scepter can be used on a lot of other useful cards as well, like High Tide which could help makeup for the loss of Turnabout if that's what you took out for Dramatic Reversal. Or perhaps you could cut something else like Dack and FoF, since the functions of those cards could essentially be replaced by reversal and scepter. Dramatic Reversal seems like a perfectly fine ramp spell in our deck, but Isochron Scepter definitely feels lackluster outside of the combo. Then again, I'm not overly fond of Dack in this deck either. He mostly functions as a tempo play to steal their ramp in the early game or to help opening our DD piles, both of which Scepter could do.
Was looking to improve my Kess, Dissident Mage Grixis storm list and stumbled across this thread. I have played the competitive Kess storm list for a bit more than half a year now. However in my experience Kess was worth a lot so many times, recasting things from gy, why do you keep Jeleva as Commander? Her having to survive a turn is too much of a weakness?
Also playing Mind Over Matter instead of Paradox Engine? Every time I landed the Engine, you almost go inf. accidentally. It's really hard to whiff with this deck and so much mana from the engine.
Anyway here is my list. I would appreciate suggestions of what to cut to lower the cmc. I still get hurt too much casting an Ad Nauseam too often.
Its been a while since your last post but I'll take my chances anyway.
I'm trying to put together aa storm deck for the mtgo format after the massive unbanning that took place a month ago more or less.
However, I'm struggling a bit with deckbuilding and the fact that both top and doomsday are banned. I'm not sure whether future sight / gush / lab man ( currently I'm trying it out with dem consultation ) and nights whisper should go or not since there's no doomsday or top to combo with them. I've included the dramatic scepter combo as another wincon but I believe I might need a bit more gas if I'm losing those two wincons. How viable do you see the deck in that format?
I've all the cards except the twister, candle, seal and grim tutor by the way.
Even though moxnix isn't active here anymore, I felt like this thread belongs in the cEDH forum, so i took the liberty of moving it. (Mod abuse at its finest).
If I have enough good mana Hurkyl's Recall and possible Paradoxical Outcome works with some artifacts. I have manavault and mox opal. If I could pick up Chrome Mox, grim monolith and Helm of Avakening I can nett mana.

I'm wanting to move Pact of Negation back into the deck and I'm agonizing over what to remove. These are the candidates:
Duress
Pyroblast
Red Elemental Blast
Counterspell
Impulse
Gilded Lotus

Do you have a list of the Horobi control deck?
I got one too and want to see whats your take on it.
