Gerrard is a fun deck to play. Someone in my playgroup brings it, but it has a hard time winning since everyone knows to keep that person below what he needs to win. It's one of those types of decks that needs it's surprise factor.

I'm playing Gerrard online these days and yes, the deck is a lot of fun.
One card that also needs to be mentioned is Aurification. As this is a defensive deck, cards that can keep you away from harm are very important. Moat is always an auto-include but so is Aurification in my opinion.
I'm not sure why no one else has mentioned this, but Felidar Sovereign seems like an obvious choice here. Being 6 mana shouldn't be an issue in edh and it's a creature, so it can attack and block, and it has lifelink itself! Also, since you are mono-white, Emeria the Sky Ruin seems like an obvious card. I mean, you get to get back creatures for free doing nothing but playing a land! EDH games tend to go long, so trust me, you will get 7 plains out.
