Your deck doesn't really rely on or synergize with your general, and Ghost Dad is better. Plus, the art is LIGHT YEARS, LIGHT YEARS better.
Opinion is opinion, but I totally disagree with Ghost Dad being strictly better. He requires another creature on my board for him to be able to dodge stuff, while Selenia requires no one but herself. And the art thing is totally subjective.
Selenia is an amazing general if you build around her, and i've seen here she really isn't too much more than a color holder, but if you shifted more towards control and board wipes you would see her value increase dramatically.
She quickly becomes the only general available. Mixing in with lightning greaves she can often clear the board sneak back in and attack on the same turn. Most games involving her I end up casting her well over 10 times and on the few and rare occasions that she does get removed from the game rarely costs more than 7 or 9 total. Not to mention flying is built in evasion something ghost dad lacks.
While I agree she's great if you build around her, the same can be said of the other B/W generals, and that's not what I was shooting for. I have other decks to rely on synergy with the general, but with this one I just wanted to put a whole bunch of good black and white stuff in the deck and have a general that doesn't require building around to make decent. I feel that Selenia accomplishes this.
Unless your playgroup runs a ton of enchantment hate i've always loved using Purgatory in black white, it does require a bit more life gain but it can be a frustrating card for people relying on graveyard hate to beat recursion. Also Unmake is strictly awsome in my play group when fighting other people with annoying creatures that dont stay dead. Obviously im sure your trying to get a vindicate but you COULD run Necrotic Sliver as long as your meta isn't jammed up with slivers its worked out for me as a poor mans replacement that nicely enough has the nice ability of being able to recur itself being that its a creature. Even when i get a vindicate im considering leaving the sliver in anyway.
Some great ideas, I had completely forgotten about Unmake. And yeah, I am trying to get my hands on Vindicate, and I love the idea of the sliver as there currently are no slivers in our meta. Enchantment hate is a bit too much in my meta for that one enchantment to be great, but thanks for the ideas!
