Why has this deck gotten no responses in forever? I plan on building Marrow-Gnawer soon-ish, and I love everything about him. My only problem with fear is that I face a few artifact decks, so...lame. Oh well.
Again, way late, but I love Nezumi Shadow-Watcher because of the off-chance to kill Taurean Mauler or any other shapeshifters in a tribal deck.
That I can understand. However, I really just don't get peoples persistance to not run duplicant effects. If a card is good in your deck, then you want as many versions of that card (to a certain extent) that you can find. Thats why constructed formats aren't dominated by decks with 60 1 of cards. That holds more true for 100 card formats, as you want to be able to find the card.
Depending on the deck, I would totally disagree here. The only thing I'd say to run a ton of (as many as you can and/or can afford, that is) is tutor effects. If your deck is a toolbox, why would you want to run multiple copies of the same tools? You'd never tutor for them and thus you're running wasted space in your deck.
Now, in the case of mono-red or mono-green or something where your only tutor is like Worldly Tutor, Sylvan Tutor and Gamble, I'd say run multiples to get the desired effect.

your edh must let u bend the rules on that [bringer of black dawn] card its against the normal edh rules to play that just because of all the other mana symbols except black that it is printed on the card.
I will second the forgotten post with thornbite staff. your general is his own sac outlet to untap with this. so it's really a 1 card combo. I will also add in eldrazi monument. preventing wraths is pretty good. I understand your budget concerns, but I think this would be better than some of the other options as rats dont fly.....
