Howdy. This is a deck that I felt I had to build, since EDH is widely a multiplayer format, and the two other decks I had weren't conducive to multiplayer play (I generally disdain MP play as a rule...I like to think it's because I get picked on because I'm really good, but it's mostly because I whine alot XD).
You get the basic idea: Ramp up the mana, use combat tricks, and stall until one of two things happen: You get Mayael online, or you hard-cast your fat...not hard to do, but it grabs the quick attention of the D-bag in the corner playing that Blue deck
I win with it sometimes, but sometimes is a huge achievement for a deck that's meant to be played in groups of 4 or more.
Mmmm... the hybrid fat Calamity and Dusk seem like they could be hard to cast if drawn. There's other fat creatures in the 5 mana slot I'd consider, but maybe other folks will disagree.
This deck seems like many of the cards came out in the last couple of years, and it would benefit largely by adding some older ones:
Firespout seems underwhelming in a format dominated by fat. I think I'd replace it with Starstorm to give you a bit more versatility. In fact, I'd try to add a lot more sweepers (Earthquake, Squall Line, Rolling Thunder, etc).
Maybe a couple of direct damage X spells for an alternate win condition? Banefire is amazing, but Ghitu Fire and Kaervek's Torch are decent replacements on a budget (heck, even Fireball has its uses).
How is Soul's Fire in your deck, UD? I've been tempted to try but I always end up cutting it.
Also, Coalition Relic is an interesting inclusion in a G deck.
Multani can't be yanked by Mayael, but he is such a strong card. Does it come up contrary much?
I like the synergy of Top with all the search effects you got going plus Mayael. I wish I had one.
Soul's Fire is pretty great. It is an excellent efficient burn spell in the format.
Relic might be cut for Darksteel Ingot...
Multani can be grabbed by Mayael I thought...because * is the same in all zones...if there were 5 card types in the 'yard, she could grab a 'goyf...
He is easily the best guy in the deck, everyone hates him.
Top is autoinclude in every EDH deck. Love it.
I bought some 5th dawn and Darksteel packs to fish for EDH gold...
Pulled a Aether Vial and Thought Dissector...might run them...maybe.

I think Land Tax should probably replace the journeyer's kite. doesn't require an activation cost, and most of the time there will be SOMEONE in a group game with more land than you.

Well naturally, I just don't have the card, and my hand gets too full as it is with the Kite.
I added Rith (again, yay) and Genesis to the deck today. I took out Cliffrunner Behemoth and Ghostaway.

the mindslaver seems kind of random. maybe drop that for an akroma's memorial (haste makers are always good for EDH, not to mention the other abilities)

Mindslaver is random, sure. Memorial is too much mana for its effect, IMO.
I am trying to get Anger back in here though. Works nicely.
Tooth and Nail, sure. Once I get one its in.
Garg, too vanilla, nah.
Hellkite I don't have, would probably add if I did.

dude, i don't mean to argue, but have you ever TRIED memorial for this deck? it's only one more CMC than the 'slaver (which is a one time effect in this deck). making all of your fatties into akroma is REALLY good.

If I get Anger back, I will pull Slaver for it. Slaver is basically a placeholder really.
Memorial is good, but I don't like it in my deck. My guys don't need all those abilities. I don't want everyone to immediately kill me.
Anger pisses people off enough...

i'm new to EDH but I am getting addicted already to trying to think up new ideas and i thought about maybe adding seedborn muse to allow you to in a muliplayer game to search out on the end of every players turn, and with all the creature search, fetching him asap shouldn't be to hard
I took out basics for more utility lands, and Contested Cliffs has been AMAZING. I actually redid my creature base to include more Beasts when I was able to trade for the card. It's repeatable, uncounterable removal, and doesn't even require the creature to tap. It's like another Arena, except you pick BOTH targets. Amazing.
Ancient Ziggurat is a godsend for this deck, given how creature heavy it is.
I added more Big Things and the deck runs a lot more smoothly. And I can just hardcast the creatures with all the accel I have, even if they keep killing Mayael with removal spells. Cliffrunner Behemoth is really good, being a 5/3 for a reasonable price, and has nice abilities when put into play with Mayael.
Woodfall Primus is the nuts. Simple as that. That thing's blown up so many annoying cards I lost count.
Ever since I stopped playing Bant, my Oversouls have been free again. That was an auto-include.
I found Autochthon Wurm while looking at dollar rares, and I said to myself, "This thing's huge!" So I stuffed it into the deck. It's the one creature that survives Shivan Meteor, and it has trample to boot.
I can't believe I overlooked Vagrant Plowbeasts; regeneration for 1 to virtually anything in the deck is extremely powerful in this format.
Paleoloth was cut because Raise Dead didn't seem like a powerful enough effect in here.
Evangelize is an extremely powerful effect in this deck, and with all the acceleration I have been running, buying it back isn't terribly difficult.
I'd been overlooking Pure/Simple for a long time. The card is really good in this format because it essentially reads "Destroy target general."
Apocalypse Hydra, while not fetchable by Mayael, is still amazing in here just due to the massive amount of mana acceleration I have. Casting one of these for X = 12 was a lot of fun last time I played.
Empyrial Plate is mainly to protect Mayael. When the deck gets going, it rarely plays spells, so it always has a fistful of cards in its hand. Generally it makes Mayael an 8/9 or 9/10, which is well out of the range of most removal spells.
I've added Cream of the Crop, as many of you have suggested, but I've also added Crown of Convergence. It can make Mayael harder to kill (4 toughness), and it's pretty nice library manipulation.
Ah yes, do you guys have any other suggestions for protecting Mayael or increased library manipulation? It's frustrating to put 3RGW into her only to miss with the ability. I've been thinking about putting Privileged Position into the deck. Also, suggestions for X spells? I'm thinking possibly Molder over Seal of Primordium.

I'm not certain how good Calciderm is in the format, especially in multiplayer games.
Hope that helps.
I'd recommend:
Also, how about some setup cards for Mayael?
My fave is Reclaim.
Why not use Sensei's Divining Top to rig your Myael? Or Mirri's Guile or Sylvan Library

Man, wish I had a spare for this deck, but my two are already in some dredge builds. I suppose I could proxy/swap...
Took out the conditional Soul's Majesty (my hand is usually pretty full) for Reap and Sow.
Took out the conditional (can't tutor for it either) Tormod's Crypt for Aether Vial.
Took out Coalition Relic for Darksteel Ingot, which doesn't die to board clear.
I realized I also had Kor Haven in here, will put that in when I get one. Makes a second good Sow target, first being Hollow.

I added Rith (again, yay) and Genesis to the deck today. I took out Cliffrunner Behemoth and Ghostaway.

tooth and nail anyone?
also, the red mage in me has to suggest greater gargadon and the best dragon EVER ....both should be in nearly ANY red deck IMHO

I could put some other utility lands in here. Vitu-Ghazi, the City-Tree spits out blockers. Skaarg, the Rage Pits is an additional source of trample, and Fungal Reaches lets me store mana. But is it worth diluting the mana base?
I added more Big Things and the deck runs a lot more smoothly. And I can just hardcast the creatures with all the accel I have, even if they keep killing Mayael with removal spells. Emille, Seven-Sting Dancer Shalin Nariya
kaijia, you should really use card tags......i don't think most people know of this obscure unused creature you're talking about
scroll rack
sylvan library
sensei's diving top
What do you think, is it worth adding those to the deck? Cause I'm rather tired of having to pay 14RGW for her and she still gets killed.
Emille, Seven-Sting Dancer Shalin Nariya
how about a card that gives your creatures both?
also, whispersilk cloak is really good for that
