Sword of Feast and Famine is better than Sword of Fire and Ice. Because when it connects, it untaps your lands. This is important since the deck is mana hungry. Sword of Fire and Ice is there for card advantage but you already get enough card advantage with your rebel engine.
I run both because of the protection it provides. If I have a copy, I'd run Sword of Light and Shadow for recursion.

I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums
Ajani Goldmane seems like a rather questionable add... I wouldnt mind hearing your reasoning behind him.
Brittle Effigy you have a lot of removal so I guess I am curious as to why you run it. Is it more for the political uses or did you just run out of decent options in white removal?
The land count looks a little light where it sits now. Thoughts on bringing it up a few?

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'll add in a copy of FoF. I don't own a LaS, sadly.

Ah yeah, Wayfarer is everything BUT a rebel
Goldmane... I was mostly trying to get cute and use him for once. The main logic was the token + the life combo (because who's going to attack an Ajani, amirite?), but I'll probably cut him.
This deck does need to play pretty politically to get ahead, and the Effigy helps with that. It's also tutorable off of a couple of my tutors if I need it.
The lands haven't really bothered me yet, but I could see bumping it up if I find some cards to cut.
For me, Goldmane does the same. I just ramp him up until I can get that massive avatar. If I have enough rebels, I use him to pump them.
I used to run Effigy but no one is playing Iona in my playgroup anymore. And I can't constantly depend on tutors to get Effigy. I've replaced it with Faith's Fetters as pseudo removal as it can also deal with planeswalkers.
I feel your pain on SoFaS. I run Sword of Body and Mind. The mill can be okay but the tokens it produces helps on the defense. But I will be cutting it for the new Gatecrash equipment.
Also, what's the indestructible equipment from Scars of Mirrodin that turns the equipped creature indestructible? I feel like running that.

Eh, I just can't justify running Body and Mind. It's just so bad. The protections are mediocre, as is the wolf, and milling the opponent is generally just a bad idea in edh.
Ah yeah, Fetters is probably better than Effigy. Thanks for that!
I never had this card and eventually never had the spot for it. Outside of finding Plains, there isn't much to it. It can be good with Scroll Rack but I think Land Tax is simply better
I used to run this but ultimately cut it. I run enough lands and thinning isn't an issue since my general already does that. I eventually had to cut this for Sun Titan
I heavily rely on equipments to protect Mother Superior. This is the reason why I didn't run this card. I would rather use Cataclysm but I have cut most of my artifact mana sources, making Cataclysm less viable.

Well duh, Land Tax is better, but you only have one, you can't rely on always having it. It's called redundancy. Saying a 1 mana instant speed +1 CA isn't good enough is nuts.

If you're using Dragon for deck thinning, you're using it wrong.
I guess you've never had an Endless Horizon get destroyed with ten of your lands exiled. It's a big liability in multiplayer.
...yet no one bats an eye risking a tempo loss and CA loss by playing Extrapanar Lens. If you really fear having it getting blown up, getting 5 plains means there's basically no risk involved, and you still get +4 CA. But seriously, not playing it for fear of getting it blown up is stupid reasoning, to put bluntly.
But whatever, I realize there's no getting through some people in regards to these cards.
So with the list above, what would you remove for the cards that you mentioned? I'm not sure if there were any changes in EDH rulings but I though an EDH deck should have exactly 99 cards.
@ bonedoc:
I changed my list a couple days ago. I forgot to add Cavern of Souls. You might wanna try that.

Out of curiosity, why do you not run crib swap? Especially if you are going for control, the ability to tutor up a swords (albeit an expensive one) seems pretty good.

All of the rebel tutors have been errataed to be: "Search your library for a Rebel permanent card" This means that you may not search for instants and sorceries with rebel tutors so the only real interaction with them is that you can tuck them from your grave. It takes away the reasons to really run it.

Crackdown seems like it would be really good in here as protection. Divine Presence hurts general damage decks, which is a way people can kill you if you have infinite life (which you can reliably get out I assume, with all the tutors for your combo pieces). Presence being good depends on your meta though.

My dream would be to replace Animal Boneyard with Diamond Valley.
The deck looks to toolbox a lot, do little mini combos, and sweep/rebuild a lot.
Naturally it has the infinite life combo, but there are a lot of other little synergies here.

Eternal Dragon - This should be in mono-white.
Endless Horizons - This should be in mono-white.
Akroma's Vengeance - Better than DoJ/Wrath, IMO.
Retribution of the Meek - One-sided wrath in this deck.
