Rith is one of my favorite cards, was my first rare card I ever pulled, and is still the best deck I ever made on my own. I just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your primer and may use some of your ideas =)

Currently Getting Back into the swing of MTGS. Bear with me folks~
Hey any reason you dont run chromatic lantern or gilded lotus instead of darksteel ingot? And what do you think about kessig wolf run?
Chromatic Lantern seems pretty good since it does a lot of color fixing and my group now tend to run exiling artifact removal so the main benefit of Darksteel ingot is becoming a now issue.
Gilded Lotus is good but I am normally dropping threats about he time I hit 5 mana so I don't think it would fit all that well.
I think I will also give Kessig Wolf-Run a shot since it can help push Rith's effect through.
What are you thinking about taking out for Rector? And am I missing something about Ramos? How does it get Rith out on turn 4? And what do you think about the guildgates?
Deck list looks pretty solid, I have a few suggestions though.
Aura Mutation + Artifact Mutation: These are some of my favorites as I am usually hitting Eldrazi Monuments, Gilded Lotus',Future sights etc... creating 5 saprolings. Would replace sundering growth with one. Cintanul Heirophants: A more fair version of Earthcraft. Dragonlair Spider: If you play in large multiplayer games, or if you have aurashards/cathar crusade out it makes people not want to play too many spells. Urabask the hidden: Good value for what he gives you, mass haste is always good with decks like this, plus prevents players from defending themselves for a with creatures they play for a turn Awakening Zone: Really good card and is usually not targeted by opponents so can last you the entire game if you drop it 3rd turn. Ramp + tokens every turn is everything you need in a card. Beastmaster Ascension: Arguably better than shared animosity, but depends on your meta and whether toughness matters that much. Useful on defense and against mass damage,-x/-x spells compared to animosity. Vicious Shadows: Drop that with 10 creatures out and everyone will be scared to board wipe for fear of instant death, or trigger it yourself with spawning pit or mycoloth. Fresh Meat: Decent board wipe protection, can improve your position if most of your creatures are 1/1 saprolings. Boros Charm: Really like this card in this deck. All permanants you control gain indestructible which is already better than Rootborn defenses, but you can always use it to add doublestrike to your commander for 2 triggers of his ability and 12 commander damage (or instant death if beastmaster ascension is out with 7 counters) Decimate: Just really good removal. Harmonize/Wheel of fate/Reforge the soul: More card advantage. Luminarch Ascension: One of the best token generators around. Night soil: Decent GY hate and token generator. Doesn't do much early game though, but can stop decks like Karador, Balthor, Chainer, Sedris etc... from getting out of control late game. Assemble the legion:If left alone and with a cathars crusade out, wins games. True conviction: Great at making decent armies into ridiculous ones. Once again double strike + Rith. Naya charm: Tap all opponents creatures ends games, return target card from your GY is good also considering you aren't running Eternal witness.

Aura Mutation + Artifact Mutation are both really cool but I dislike that they only get artifact or enchantment and I love the ability to chose. Cintanul Heirophants is strong but unlike earthcraft it can't survive a wrath and it can only get me lots of green mana Urabask the hidden another haste outlet might not be bad but I think I'd rather an enchantment over another creature. Dragonlair Spider seems good but I like the tokens from Dragon Broodmother better and I am not sure I want another token generator at 6 mana Awakening Zone I have run it before but I really disliked that is made colorless tokens Beastmaster Ascension I will swap out shared animosity and test it Vicious Shadows I've tried it before but every time I got it out the other players had between 0 and 2 cards and it just didn't do much for me Fresh Meat can be fun but it tends to be a dead card a lot of the time Boros Charm I am looking for something to take out to test it, but it seems really good Decimate is really good I see if I can find room for it Wheel of fate I have but I need to update my list, it's been really good but I don't think I need the other two with it Luminarch Ascension In my playgroup it never got active without some form of pillowfort strategy, but if you can pull it off it's really powerful. Night soil It was alright when I tried it but I ended up cutting it because I couldn't find room for it. Assemble the legion I am testing it now and so far it's been great True conviction is a good finisher but I like the ones I am running a little bit better Naya charm I tested it before and the it's nice to get a card back or make sure you can make someone not block but I felt like it didn't do enough so it got cut in testing.
So this might be one of the most fun EDH decks ive ever played lol thanks for posting. I was wondering what you thought of about Solemn Simulacrum and Senseis Top. Both seem good for helping draw cards since these colors dont really have that much card advantage.
I only ask simply because I have begun the goal to create an edh deck for each of the potential color combos (mono, dual, triple, five and whatnot) and Rith was the Naya general I settled on and those two cards were my motivation for trying the tokens thing. Just wanted to get an experienced Rith players answer to my curiosity.

Thanks I'm glad you enjoy it. Solemn Simulacrum is pretty strong but I don't really have to much trouble getting my mana, and the top can be strong but I don't think i have anything to cut for it.

Legion Loyalist grants trample and first strike. It's like a mini Akroma's Memorial. I think you're right about Shared Animosity in comparison to Hellrider, but there's nothing wrong with a little redundancy
I love Rith, I just got the promo not to long ago. I see the way you have went with a more of a token barrage, which is a strong point she has with her ability.
A few suggestions I might add would be:
Warstorm Surge Does a lot of damage off her trigger or can clean up the field with a few tokens a turn coming in Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage Honestly id use this guy over the original guild mage as it can copy any token or make its own for cheaper Krenko, Mob Boss A great token engine that especially with haste must be handled early
EDIT: Chromatic Lantern is amazing especially allows utility lands to be great Collective Blessing shuts off auto draw from skullclamp but makes things MASSIVE Ajani Goldmane his -1 ability is amazing for a deck with a lot of creatures and you should be able to get it off a good amount of times

True but I'm just not sure what to pull to test Hellrider out, Legion Loyalist could be fun though, just need to find room

I've run Warstorm Surge before and it's strong but a little slow so I ended taking it out, the damage it deals can get pretty crazy though.
Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage would be really good in an anthem deck but I think she'd be a little slow here.
Krenko, Mob Boss I played with the idea before but I guess I need to actually test him, he almost seems like a mini Rhys, the redeemed.
Chromatic Lantern is being tested now in place of ingot, but I didn't draw into it in my last 2 games so I'm not sure if I like it better yet but I think I will
Collective Blessing This card has actually made me think of doing a secondary build style of the deck more focused on anthems, it's seems really strong but I'm not sure I can afford another expensive enchantment in the current list.
Ajani Goldmane used to be in my list but he was kinda slow, strong sometimes but dead other times, I cut Sarkhan Vol for the same reason.
Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage would be really good in an anthem deck but I think she'd be a little slow here.
Wait why? Im confused if you ever have something to mana sink into she is amazing and much better than the original mage that from your list looks to be in right now, her ability to replicate a token costs 1 cheaper than the originals sap token ability and her second makes a 3/3 for 1 more but instead of a 1/1 @.@

Wait... you're RTFC, right? Both of Selesnya Guildmage's abilities cost 4, but Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage's abilities are 6 and 4, respectively. The latter depends on having another creature out, which is arguably weaker in a format laden with sweepers. Most of the time you'd just be populating a saproling anyways given the rest of the list. And I think you're severely underestimating Selesnya Guildmage's overrun ability. Heck, I'd run Sunhome Guildmage over Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage in a vacuum.

You just added Academy Rector, so I think you could evaluate what enchantments you're running. I think you could run a good finisher that you can fetch with Rector. Not Warstorm Surge, but Vicious Shadows!

I was also considering using Heart of Ramos, Horn of Ramos, and/or Tooth of Ramos as ramp to maybe get to my general on turn four if I had to. So I might test them as well as trying to find a place for the Academy Rector I just picked up and testing out Assemble the Legion.
