So I finally got enough of this deck together a couple weeks ago to try it out and dominated two weekends in a row. The extra turns really seems to annoy people, especially when I pull 3 in a row and can afford the buyback cost on Walk the Aeons. I think one way to make it less competitive/more fun for my opponent is to replace those with more overrun type cards. Right now my one finisher is Beastmaster Ascension. Another options is to just switch which location I play at each weekend.

My other win-con: Triumph of the Hordes. With 10 poison being so good, it can easily TKO one person on the spot.

I'm able to kill everyone at the table with a well-placed Triumph of the Hordes; it's that good.

Yeah I too would recommend going somewhat light on extra turns, and probably cutting Walk the Eons (buyback on it in general really makes people groan). Extra turns should win the game pretty fast once you drop them - that's why Notorious Throng is ideal, as it gives you a ton more damage out of it right away.
Another decent finisher is Biomass Mutation, but even just anthems like Nissa, Voice of Zendikar or Gaea's Anthem aren't horrible, assuming you're playing relatively causally. Signal Pest, too, can get in there and costs almost nothing. If you don't do turns too much, you just have to hold out a few more of your opponent's turns against possible wraths. That'll mean that you should identify who is most likely to wrath and try to kill them first, and maybe you'll want more wrath protection than you're running already.

Yeah, that's why the only extra turn spell I play is Notorious Throng. I also run Biomass Mutation as a wincon. Signal Pest is also a great creature to run and I run it to much success.

I've mentioned it a couple of times but now I finally had a moment to post the list I'm currently running. Apart from the very expensive cards (Gaea's Cradle and Tropical Island) the deck is pretty feasible to assemble. This list isn't as unfriendly as the ones running time magic but it does run Notorious Throng (which is one time spell - although it's not just a time spell) and Triumph of the Hordes (which kills via poison counters) as finishers. It's also chocked full of counter magic. That being said, the deck isn't that mean to play against since it wins out of nowhere. Games can end quickly or not and in a less competitive environment opponents may want to take advantage of you having Edric in play. Anyhow, on to the decklist!

When it comes to "competitive" decks, Edric is as fair as it gets. If a table of opponents (even non-competitive" ones) cannot literally beat a group of 1/1's with zero ETB's, especially with your lack of time-magic, then it's time to whip out a pre-con.

The high cost of the counter magic isn't an issue when the creatures are so cheap. Also, Aluren makes them free.

Please put the colors of your suggestion in mana symbols prior to your suggestion in color-wheel order. To do this, put any of W, U, B, R, G, and/or C, whatever is applicable, with the word 'mana' inside [square bracets] before and the word '/mana' inside [square bracets] after the mana.
I finally got the last few pieces and put together a deck using your shell but swapped a few cards out (added a few staples, a couple meta cards, some mid-range cards, and other win cons).
The salt levels were waaaaaay too high. Thank god I added some more removal and bounce because I had to fight Silent Arbiter and turn 3 Platinum Angel.

Do you have an updated/current list for your Edric? I would love to see it after all these posts.
Also, do you use that same deck for dual (I know it's banned in this dual EDH) or do you play multiplayer EDH with a different build?
@All
I would very much like to see you multiplayer EDH Edric decks that do well. I'm very interested to hear how you manage your play in multiplayer especially when you don't win in the early part of the game.

When I use my deck in my playgroup I never lose. And I've played triple threat, two-headed giant, and five-point star. And my pod's decks aren't ridiculously competitive but they're also not super casual. My build doesn't use time magic (save for Notorious Throng) so it's not incredibly cutthroat.

I'll post my later today. I am about 50/50 with the deck. It is very similar to the OP's build --- look a few posts up to see what I removed and added. My meta is a lot more control and board wipe after board wipe after board wipe. I can't simply unload onto the board unless I have free counter magic available (FoW, Daze, etc). I also have to play around blue players with lands untapped and white players with removal in hand.
The extra turns make a huuuuge difference. You can use it to bait out a counterspell or once they are tapped out, you get another go.

Awesome card for Edric, indeed.
Cat Dragon isn't random, though. Wasitora and the nekuru have been a thing since the legends books. Granted, siren pirate wizard sounds weird.
