I have been finding I have a bit more spot removal than I care for currently
Really? I feel that Bant colors tend to lack enough pinpoint removal, but then again I play Rafiq of the Many and he play's completely differently than Jenera.
Anyway, I just wanted to recommend Spellskite. I've been testing him myself and he's really good (don't have to save mana to counter a removal spell with him out). IDK if you've playtested with him or not, but if not, I recommend giving him a shot.

Ok, looking through my list I have somewhere around 16 cards that I would consider somewhat of control cards. I run very few wrath effects due to the fact that I am a creature based deck and I don't like dropping those unless it is really an oh **** moment. Now when I look at your list I notice yours is for one on one running Rafiq. In the 1 on 1 situation trading one for one isnt as bad as it is in multiplayer. In mulitplayer I just spent a card to solve 1 card from one opponent which is usually thought of as card disadvantage due to the fact that you spent a card and did not impact your other opponents. I run these effects though because more often than not I do not want to wrath the board but respond to something coming my way or someone trying to combo out.
I love my spot removal but in most situations I need to hold onto it and wait for something really bad to come along and so sometimes I start stockpiling them in my hand which is a problem because I have a lot of card advantage and drawing in my deck and I can end up discarding or wasting it on subpar targets just to get my hand back down to 7. This has happened several times to me. Keep in mind if I have a bunch of utility blockers at the ready a lot of times opponents will swing at the open board instead. I am not looking to cut into my spot removal by much I am just talking about one effect being cut. I dont like condemn as it specifies that it must be an attacking creature. If someone were to combo out or get a really strong utility creature I would not be able to target it with condemn which is why I feel it is my weakest link.
Here are things that I would consider my control for the deck:
As for spellskite, I honestly don't really need to protect any one thing in this deck. I have a lot of wincons and I would only put my Jenara kills at somewhere arround 40-50% of my killing. I don't care too much for Spellskite as I see it as more of a 1 on 1 creature for stopping a kill. If you enjoy him you might also consider running Standard Bearer as it costs less mana to drop and no mana / life to redirect. I for one have relied a bit more on just dropping more threats, persisting, rezing, or just casting another threat rather than protecting them. My deck focuses on CIP effects and so I am a bit less worried about what happens to my creatures once they trigger their effect.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
I brought in Kamahl temporarily thinking he would be wrath protection and give me some cool overruns for my utility guys. Sadly I really dont want to drop him until late game mana due to the fact that I want to drop him with a bunch of G mana open to turn lands into creatures in case of a wrath. I am running a 3 colored deck so keeping tons of G open is tough. Also the deck doesnt ramp into as high of mana as a mono G deck would which would be where he would be best. I think the Sphinx will be better as I can just drop it whenever. A free Fact or Fiction + a 5/6 flying beater will be a decent wincon that doubles as card draw. It should also draw a lot less hate than Consecrated Sphinx as once it is in play it is just a beater. This means I could potentially do some damage rather than assuming it will be gone within a turn or two like the Consecrated Sphinx. The bottom line was that Uthuun seemed less situational than Kamahl who wanted tons of mana and tons of critters to be effective.
Also I went back and updated a few sections of the primer:
History - went a bit more in depth on my EDH experience and how the deck has evolved from past to current.
Who am I - added more personal info for anyone who actually wants to know about me.
Overview of Card Options - It had been quite some time since I updated this section. I changed some of the discriptions of some of the cards that I am no longer using sort of stating what sort of issues I had with them. Also added a lot of new cards that have been tested in the list just for people to know what sort of options are out there.
So I had a really long like 3 hour game of Star EDH with Jenara the other night. I dont want to go through it all considering it was stupidly long and drawn out. We had 2 control player who would wrath me off the board almost every turn. I think there were 6 turn cycles in a row that all saw a wrath effect... I managed to get like 3-4 targets onto the board almost every turn using crazy card draw and abusing Birthing Pod / Skullclamp to draw like a champ. By the end of the game I had like probably 30 cards left in my deck. I think Sun Titan might have been the only 6+ drop guy left in my library by the end of it. I managed to win using Jenara casting her out in the last several turns drawing out the remaining wraths / spot removal from my opponents.
Anyways out of it all I think Sphinx of Uthuun was probably my MVP of the game. I cast / rezed / tutored it into play 3 seperate times throughout the game. He drew me tons of extra fuel and he was just amazing every time he came back out. His 5 power body was a threat for my opponents and he drew plenty of wraths out for me.
I need at least one more mass removal spell for this deck. I am thinking that Oblivion Stone might be what I need. I can tutor it up off of Tezzeret and reuse it with Academy Ruins. I was a bit dissapointed by how little I wanted to play Umezawa's Jitte later in this game. I couldnt connect to anyone due to how much removal was floating arround and it provides no protection. I might also be looking to pick up a Darksteel Plate for this deck so who knows it might go in for the Jitte.
I do have to sort of be happy though as I fought through 2 dedicated control decks that were trying to stop me from killing my last opponent. While it was long and drawn out I managed to draw more threats than they could get rid of.
Ok a few changes I am putting in. I have had some interesting play with some cards and I have felt like I have been lacking a few things. So here goes:
CUTS: Condemn I have a lot of card draw and I dont like how this piece of spot removal can only work when an opponent attacks. There are several commanders who do not attack and I like having the option to use removal in more situations other than just when my opponent attacks. EDIT: also I hate how this doesnt really solve Consecrated Sphinx or Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur when I need to. I like being able to use my spot removal when I need it. Bribery this card has been getting worse and worse due to Homeward Path. I cant hit big fatties anymore as they will be used against me and I just havent found it worth using to go get a Trinket Mage. Gaddock Teeg sadly without him being more consistant I cannot build arround him enough to make him consistant. I have seen a lot of cards stuck in hand that I havent been able to play and I have seen several times where I drop him in and someone goes lolz due to it. Last time I dropped him in Chainer came in and rezed 3 guys into play.... it was bad and I had to sac him and chainer almost ran away with the game due to him.
ADDS: Darksteel Plate I have had some problems with removal. This should at least give me some protection from the wraths. We run very little that would deal with an indestructable artifact so I think it should be solid in here. I like Lightning greaves but wraths still haunt it. I feel like this is harder to remove and gives a bit better protection from what I need to protect from. Oblivion Stone I can recur it and I can tutor for it. It seems like I have enough utility for it that it should make a good 3rd wrath effect for the deck. Primal Command I like the versatility of it. The option to tutor, grave hate, noncreature stall, or gain life off it are all decent options. It is sort of slow but I like the options to it.
If you ask me, it's a sad day in Magic when Bribery isn't good enough to be in a starting 100 thanks to Homeward Path. Give it a salute on the way out the door
I know it is sort of depressing but I haven't found it to be good enough to just go and trigger me a CIP trigger. I would say that somewhere around 60% of decks in our meta have them though and it has been getting bad. My deck doesn't really use enough theft to really make it worth my time to try using my strip effects on Homeward as I would rather just not run bribery and save it for a maze / academy / coffers instead.
3 months ago I would have said that any blue deck would be crazy not to run Bribery, now I have a hard time running it in any of my decks
Ok I have been doing a lot of reworking on my main page. I love making it look nice so putting a bit of effort into it is a lot of fun for me. Updates on the Primer Page:
Updated:
-Section Format: I did some cool color interaction that I stole from SuperSonik
-Header Pictures: I did a cool Sword Salute sort of deal at the top. While I dont think that the swords make the deck what it is by any means I felt that they looked the coolest and I am a sucker for symmetry.
-Card Rundown: I updated more of the older cards that I used to run listing some of the problems I had with them and why they are no longer being run.
-Section Names: some of these were rather wordy so I shortened some of them and simplified them.
-Why Play Jenara: I added a why to play and why not to play Jenara section within this.
-Deckstats / Sample Hands: new section that I added that gives some rundown on the deck. I went through a few sample hands I pulled from Deckstats and how I would sort of handle them.
Also I found it amusing that I hit the max length for a post and was forced to move some of my material into the second post. I hope that I never run out of space in the second post as then I would have some issues.
Also I think I might end up temporarily removing Umezawa's Jitte for Bribery to get a bit more testing. To be honest the Jitte was very low on my rung of priorities to tutor up and or go get. With the inclusion of the Darksteel Plate I think I can probably afford to cut Jitte from the list. I am not sold that Bribery deserves to stay but through some discussion on the card I have decided to allow it to stay for a bit yet. I had a game of Star EDH the other day where I drew it and there was only 2 creatures left in my only opponent's deck.... that really pissed me off a bit.
Check out the updates. I think the new front page is very nice looking if I do say so myself
EDIT: also as a side note if anyone knows of a way to scale Images I want to know. I had considered shrinking the two swords next to Jenara but I sort of like how they look now. I wouldn't mind knowing just to know though if there is a way to do it.
EDIT 2: Ohhh I almost forgot I also updated the name of the list to Jenara - The CIP Bant Army. I feel it really represents the deck well considering thats what this deck really is.
Edit 3: Ohh also I am hoping to pick up a Tundra as my birthday present which is today. I wouldn't be able to pick it up for a few weeks though as I gotta pay the bills first and we will decide later if it is in the budget. I really hope to get it for the deck though as I think it would be an incredible add to the deck.

Geez a tundra would be quite the gift so congats on that.
I love it. The sample hands are nifty. I hope I don't run out of room on mine because I never reserved the second post
Ya hopefully there will be a budget for me to pick it up. There arent very many reasonable cards left for me to even consider obtaining for this deck outside of the original dual lands and considering this has always been my favorite deck I think I might finally commit to slowly obtaining the original duals. Also I have had problems on a few occasions running out of basic land targets for my fetchalands so replacing a non fetchland target with a fetchland target seems incredible.
As for needing extra space to post, I would imagine that if you run out of space you could petition a mod to give you an extra post to continue. I doubt it would be tough for them. I suppose the alternative is to PM everyone between your first and second posts and request that they go to your page and delete their posts lol. That would suck.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
I hate the term too. It's just so... nerdy, pointless, and doesn't convey any sort of coherent message.
Anyways, nice deck. I have to ask about Phyrexian Ingester and Cauldron of Souls though. They raise your curve by a lot and I'm not sure they're good enough for their costs.
I would replace them with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite and maybe Aura Shards. The former is very strong for her cost and the latter is amazing utility in an ETB deck.
Emmara is like the worst parts of Legends and Homelands got pregnant, aborted the fetus, tossed it in the trashcan, set it on fire and wrapped the corpse in a Dragon's Maze pack wrapper.
The problems I have with Elish Norn is that I see very few token and opposing small creature agro decks. My opposition tends to drop wraths almost every turn so I have had a hell of a time trying to stick creatures so while I think she is an amazing creature my problem with her is that I rarely get to kill something with her and it is difficult to build up an army for her to buff due to overwhelming numbers of wraths.
I had run Aura Shards at one point in time but I dont think I have ever goten it to stick for long enough to activate it once sadly. I really should do some more testing with it though. It is a great card and 1-2 bad experiences with it shouldnt disqualify it.
As far as Phyrexian Ingester, I know it is a bit spendy but I have a lot of ways to abuse creatures in this list that I cant really do with spells. At one point it had been a Faith's Fetters instead but I have found that creatures are easier to abuse. Plus I can tutor up creatures a lot easier than I can tutor up spot removal / wraths. I might have to consider Elish Norn again but I tried her for several games in my meta and she was always just a bit too underwhelming for the situations she was in.
Cauldron of Souls again like I said I have some serious problems with heavy wraths in my meta. I played a game on tuesday where we saw 8 wraths I want to say... My edric deck cried a bit on the inside. We do too much wrathing but due to that the cauldron has been good as it allows me to reuse some abilities.
I should probably find something to cut to get Aura Shards back in the list though.
I was just wondering whether or not Land Tax and Windborn Muse is worth running in this deck? I love having Jenara as a general and have taken a few pointers from your primer
Windborn Muse could be a decent add. Personally I see very few mass token strategies so I havent really gone this route but I think it would be an alright option. My question I guess though would be is it better to use this or to use Ghostly Prison? The upside of the Muse is that it is a creature that you can rez off of the Karmic Guide and Lark, copy it with clone effects, and it is easier to tutor up with creature tutors. The downside is that it is easer to kill creatures than it is for enchantments. Also Ghostly Prison is at the 3 mana mark meaning that Sun Titan can rez it which is nice. I guess you might try both of them at one point in time as there are clearly perks to both. I personally wouldn't really bother with it as there is no immediate impact or result from the card and I don't see many swarm tactics but I think it is a viable card if that is what you see. Another solid option would be to try Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite as she just destroys token strategies. Personally I think I would go that route.
Land Tax Honestly I personally wouldn't bother running this card anymore. However I can see how it could be good if you are having some problems fixing your landbase. In a longer game I will actually normally strip out almost every basic land just through using fetchlands and ramp options so this isn't as appealing to me but I think it works amazingly with Scroll Rack so if you want to use the two together it is a solid option. However when it comes to getting lands into hand I don't have much of a problem with that and with my expensive manabase I haven't had problems fixing land in quite some time. So I personally wouldn't run it but I can see it could have some potential for it if you have a bit of a rocky manabase or want to run Scroll Rack.
Also I officially bought my Tundra just a minute ago It was $80 but the condition is actually fairly good. Hoary for expensive cards lol. Tundra has been added to the decklist. Mosswort Bridge which actually had not been in my decklist for some time... (I should really look at the land I have in the deck vs what is listed sometime) has gone out for the Tundra. That is one expensive dual down and 2 to go
EDIT: also welcome to Jenara EDH glad to have another fan on the forums I was feeling a bit lonely
Thanks for the reply. My group that I play with usually have heavy token play or attack me quite abit I also had ghostly prison in mind also. I'll run them and see how they go.
Humm I will try to do some more brainstorming for ideas that might help you as well
Off the top of my head you might also consider trying:
Lightmine Field a bit tricky as you will need to play around it as well but man it really screws with big swarm decks.
Echoing Truth hit one of their tokens and they just chain dissapear which is very handy. Even when you arent facing a token scheme it works alright as it is still bounce. You can also use this defensively to save something of yours or reuse a ETB trigger.
Caltrops ... ok this is sort of a bad card. You are probably better with the field that I mentioned but I guess it is an option plus if you have Tezzeret in your deck he can tutor it into play... still its sort of fail.
I will see if I can come up with anything else. But I think you should look into Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite. She is probably best at screwing tokens. Her buddy Crovax, Ascendant Hero might be worth taking a peek at as well especially with his nice bounce evasion he has.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll probably pick up Echoing Truths and give that a test run. Light mine field seems good but depends on the situation I guess. I've been waiting for an Elesh Norn to appear in my area and Crovax seems like the perfect partner to Elesh.
I will look into what is missing tonight and see if I cant get it updated.
EDIT: Ok I looked at the list over lunch and figured it out. Solemn Simulacrum was missing from the list. He has been fairly good with Birthing Pod so far as I have managed to chain from him to Karmic Guide to really ramp and draw well. I think he might have sort of floated in and out of the deck when Saffi went out. I had been trying to nail down Saffi's replacement for a while and I like how Simulacrum fills a 4 spot fairly well giving me a strong CA abusive guy in the 4 cc range for Birthing Pod to abuse.
EDIT 2: I got bored and so I added 5 more sample hands to the primer. I dont know if anyone would ever be interested in reading that section but I figure giving more information is always good as long as it is sectioned off for people to selectively read what they want.
EDIT 3: I was reviewing some of my deckstats and I noticed my white mana count was a bit high and my green mana a bit low from where I wanted. I changed a plains to a forest. I also noticed that I am missing Command Tower from my list even though I know that it is in my deck. I will have to make some adjustments to change it. I have also been considering running Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite again as we finally have a token deck back in our midsts. We haven't had anyone run a decent token strategy in a long time. We still have teysa but that player stacks their deck with wraths and too few spawners in my opinion. Anyways I will work to see if I cant get these things updated.

Happy Birthday!!
Geez a tundra would be quite the gift so congats on that.
I love it. The sample hands are nifty. I hope I don't run out of room on mine because I never reserved the second post

As for needing extra space to post, I would imagine that if you run out of space you could petition a mod to give you an extra post to continue. I doubt it would be tough for them. I suppose the alternative is to PM everyone between your first and second posts and request that they go to your page and delete their posts lol. That would suck.

Really nice looking primer but shouldn't it be the ETB Bant Army though?
Thx for the birthday smiley faces all. It marks 25 years for me.

California penal code for murder essentially :D.
I'm pretty sure at one point or another it was coined by Mike Flores or something.

Her buddy Crovax, Ascendant Hero might be worth taking a peek at as well especially with his nice bounce evasion he has.

anyways, awesome list! inspires me to play bant in other ways besides Rafiq
I got to have a lot of fun the other night abusing the board. I strapped a Darksteel Plate onto a Sun Titan and just kept rezing my Oblivion Stone off of the Sun Titan. Also Gilded Drake + Venser, the Sojourner is just dirty.
