This deck is hilarious! I like trading for "useless stuff" just to kick someone in the nuts with it. Go EDH!
I played the deck 1 on 1 against Experiment Kraj and we were laughing our asses off. He had a bunch of big guys that could oneshot me, but he never had the opportunity. Confusion in the Ranks plus Grip of Chaos plus Pandemonium is kinda good together:). Hilarity ensured when i dropped to 2 life with Norin sniping me at random, even though he hed like 15 other targets! Special fun occured with stolen Doubling Season and stolen creatures with counters on them (i was sniping counters all over the place, rinse and repeat if i hit the shooter)
In some other multiplayer game, i had Font of Mythosx2 (Sculpting Steeled) for several turns, then played Incinerary Command and Forked it 2 times (to sweep for 6 and discard/draw cards. Noone was really happy, except for me:rolleyes: I like doing useless stuff that irritates everyone..
@Cloudstone Curio and package - i like those ETB shenenigans, but what would you cut?
@SageOwl - not yet, i dont have room!
@zala - that question is better answered when i update the main page... sometime soon
@chou - i designed the deck to work in cutthroat environments by being even more cutthroat (read - really annoying) than others. Red's lack of good draw and tutors make it so every card needs to do powerful things in order to perform. After a couple plays, you will start to see silly synergies in the deck that usually dont go together. It isn't an easy deck to play, by any means.

2. I really don't like Chance Encounter in the deck. Ignoring the fact that it is cheesy...it has never come close to changing a game. If I have won 10 coin flips...I can probably win in more fashion with Warp World.
3. Warp World just seems amazing in this deck. The insane amount of tokens make this a prime deck for it. Let's not forget the insanity that is Genesis Chamber with mass quantities of creatures coming into play.
4. Being how this deck thrives on Chaos...both Tide of War and Wild Evocation seem like fantastic cards.
Here are my suggestions and changes from the list on the first page.
My good sir (Gaka), you've just inspired me to stop my creation idea for Kazuul, and instead just opt for a deck like Norin, just for both the surprise and hilarity factor. I am definitely gonna playtest this baby.
Champion - ironically, two of those changes have already been made.
the MTGcommander forums pointed out the scrapper/vandal thing, and that changed quickly.
Chance encounter was freqeuntly useless (i do have several wins off of it though) and i wanted room for warp world again... surprise!
I hope you enjoy Norin, komrade. far more fun than that kazuul dude could ever be
I will update the front page either tonight or tommorrow.

You should post your changes to the deck in the actual deck so that people who are new to trying out your build can test the newest and best. You could also bypass any information that you have already come across.
Oh, I have been running the OG build and it is fun, but now I am going to swap some cards out to get better synergy. Gratz Gaka!
In goes some gobbos and fun, out goes slow or unhelpful cards.
One of the things to go was the Godo Equipment package. Primarily, this was because when Confusion was out, Godo was horribly useless. Having a sword out with confusion was tantamount to running from four very large and hungry lions. It just doesnt work.
In any case, that free'd up some room for Warp World (!) and some more ramp to keep up with the slightly higher overall CMC. Gilded Lotus will become Caged Sun with the next expansion.
Another thing to go was the Mine/Font draw engine. While giving red feul is a really good thing, giving the more powerful colors extra cards is a really bad thing. I will add disruption until i find another R/x draw engine.
I like the changes that you made. I am a little concerned about the cards that you are wanting to add. Sensation Gorger and Goblin Ringleader don't seem to be very effective in the deck. By my count there are 10 goblins in the deck. That seems extremely unlikely to be effective. I will give you that...Goblin Recruiter + Sensation Gorger is a heavy handed combo. Goblin Ringleader on the other hand seems very narrow and not particularly effective.
As for your desire to find a card advantage engine in red...Mind's Eye is probably your best option. In multiplayer you can gain a serious advantage for a minimal cost. Here are a few others that I found with a quick search.
Crystal Ball - I actually like this card more than Sensei's Divining Top in EDH. I know that is probably sacrilege but...the card is nuts.
In red you really need to dig for some card draw...but there are some decent cards if you dig for them.
In your change log you took an extra card out of the deck...this means that you need add an additional card. Here are the changes that I made to the deck.
That's what i forgot - siege-gang. When i decided on a token route that was an auto-include.
Gorger, recruiter, and ringleader are those i am not planning to add until i get a nice critical mass of goblins. As it is now they are fairly useless (recruiter excepted)
I have also been looking at the Yeti's for extra Norin-esque effects. They and bogardan hellkite are good candidates for testing.

Ironically, a matchup similar to that happened to me yesterday. T2 Confusion and a T3 Puzzle box after everyone had tutored for an answer was awesome. T6 they were done.
Warp World's return has been awesome. The first casting i had 25 permanents on the field, and I won the next turn with my dear friend vicious shadows and hellion eruption.

I play a variation of the deck that's remarkably close to Gaka's recent alterations. It's been absolutely a blast to play, if somewhat inconsistent. At times, however, it's just totally unfair.
Some of the funniest things have happened ....insurrection -> attack some people -> cast mogg infestation targeting myself. Yeah, that was good.
I've also been in situations where people consciously avoid doing certain things all because of Grip of Chaos.
The best two
(1) Seeing someone incapacitated because they were too scared to use the legacy weapon AND door to nothingness all because of a Grip of Chaos .... I just love it.
(2) Watching a Kemba player spend 16 mana trying to equip Kemba with sword of fire and ice ...and fail.
I was playing a 5 person game the other day. I hadn't gotten anything really going until late in the game. I placed out pandemonium and gauntlet of power, so Noran is hitting for 3 every turn. At this point one person was out of the game and Slobad has slaver lock on another opponent. To make a long story short, eventually it was Slobad and Noran left. Slobad had 8 life, 7 poison counters and I had 15 life. Slobad slaver locks me, takes one look at my hand and asks, "Do you have anything in your deck that can destroy enchantments?" I reply, "Nope." He takes a deep sigh and says, "Then I concede." HAHAHA NORAN IS VICTORIOUS!
Hmm seems I missed a couple of changes here... Where's that subscribe button...
*looks around at what's gone out*
Hoard-Smelter Dragon out?? Noooooo... and the swords as well... kk... Tomorrow I'll check this entire thread when I get the time... Better be some good reason to it... :D:D
What are your thoughts regarding the new set? Anything catch your eye besides Caged Sun? Really excited to catch your next update... I'm planning to switch from my ultra-competitive Godo deck (which no one wants to play with around my place anymore) to this ultra-fun deck... Made a couple of switches because of budget i.e. Imperial Recruiter and Gauntlet of Might but the chaos-y stuff remains in... Oh and what about Kher Keep to keep with the token theme without devoting much deck space (you can just replace a mountain with it)

Hoard-smelter is one of the best red fatties currently in the EDH pool. However, he's too inefficient and too beefy for this deck. Sure, i can spend 4 mana to kill an artifact and give him some power, but if i have confusion out, not only does he backfire, but it gives others a beefy hitter. Also, due to an attempt to lower the curve and increase the benefits for each card (and tutorability) he essentially cut himself.
As for the swords... I really do not like it when someone hijacks my Swords through confusion. It's rude and backfires. The main reason for their initial inclusion is that i didn't want godo to have only one target (skullclamp) and i thought i might as well throw them in. I'll just cut them for some more gobbos.

The problem with Urabrask is that he doesnt do anything other than slow down opponent creature based strategies, which we already do quite well against. Chancellor of the Forge might be an expensive option, though.
Kher Keep is a great idea, and should probably be a staple.

Really having a lot of fun playing this deck at my LGS.
Last game I played I learned the tough way that resolving Grip of Chaos, Pandemonium and Planar Chaos at the same time puts a HUGE target on your back. I recommend purchasing a D100 if you plan on using Grip of Chaos.
I'm having a lot of fun running Illicit Auction. I turn on auctioneer mode and usually other people in the store have no idea whats going on. It's a lot of fun.
In another 5-player game, by turn 3 there were 2 Genesis Chambers on the battlefield. By around turn 5 when I had about 30 Myr tokens, people realized I was quickly becoming a threat and drew a lot of insta-hate.
One question though, I don't think I understand Risky Move. It is just getting your opponents to potentially lose their creatures?
Risky Move + Norin == free creatures, or at least lots of fun trying to do so and a highly convulted board position if your fellow players can't flip worth a damn.
It is, unfortuneately, on the chopping block for Caged Sun when NPH is released.
Yes, this deck gets targeted quickly when you've revealed the extent of what you can do in one turn, but being able to survive it and win anyways is a testament to how awesome this deck is.

I believe that Siege-Gang Commander would fit like a glove. Personally I believe that it is better than Goblin Marshal.
As for your desire to find a card advantage engine in red...Mind's Eye is probably your best option. In multiplayer you can gain a serious advantage for a minimal cost. Here are a few others that I found with a quick search.
Book of Rass - This is a crappy version of Yawgmoth's Bargain...but a damn fine draw engine for Red.
Carnage Altar - With the large amount tokens in the deck...this could be a valid draw engine.
Diviner's Wand - Granted this requires requires a creature in play...and a mana investment...it is a valid draw engine.
Dreamstone Hedron - Ramp and Draw.
Geth's Grimore - Wheel of Fortune effects allow this card to break.
Sensei's Divining Top - Curious why this card isn't in the deck in the first place.
Tower of Fortunes - Decent investment for a great payoff.
Crystal Ball - I actually like this card more than Sensei's Divining Top in EDH. I know that is probably sacrilege but...the card is nuts.
