Do you ever feel like you are shy on card draw? I have added trading post and minds eye to my decks to give me something else to do with my mana. Trading post with skull clamp is a draw 2 for 2. Pretty awesome.
Approximately how much money is this deck worth? Please don't say "I got it for $50.00" because you had 80% of the deck already. If I was building this deck from scratch, how much would this deck cost? My collection, besides the "plains" have no cards in common with this deck.
It seems fun and I always wanted to play voltron. So I think I'm gonna go ahead and build this deck.

Its not horribly accurate as prices do fluctuate regularly and its not always totally on but it ballparked it at $513.09 for the entirety of the list. Looking at individual prices of cards it looks mostly accurate probably within about 15% overall on the price to buy it. Obviously if you shop around a lot you might be able to get it reduced but overall its decently accurate.

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.

It is absolutely shy on card draw, it's kind of rough. That's the biggest weakness of this deck, card advantage. That's why in the strategy section I stress using the 2 for 1's so accurately and with as close to perfect timing as you can get, because if you don't the list just falls on it's face >.<
I never liked the Mind's eye, simply because of the mana investment. In a stax list having that mana available (for me at least) has been pretty hard. But, Trading post is not a bad idea at all, especially if people are destroying my stuff all the time. I think I'm going to throw one in there to test it, that's a really great idea. Thanks!

Hey, thanks, I'm really glad you liked it! ISB was kind enough to do a price check below, and that site he uses is the same I use, so it's a good look. That site generally tends to do the median price, however, so if you're willing to buy the less than mint versions you could probably shave off about 20% of that figure.
Honestly the most expensive things are the swords, Stoneforge, and Jitte. Everything else isn't too bad, you can probably pick up just about everything on the list other than the previously mentioned stuff for under $150 or so.

Nice deck. I had been looking for ideas of a white weenie general or something aggresive that I can stick equipments on and go to the red zone and Isamaru seems perfect. I'm gonnna give it a try to your list and then morph it according to my playgroup. Nice deck, man
I'm occassionally tinkering with this list, and I think it should be running Memory Jar. It's draw 7 by itself, but I also run a couple of 2 mana ramp artifacts (as I feel much better going Isamaru -> Marble Diamond -> Equipment than Isamaru -> Dork-> Equipment) and with the extra couple of mana I can utilize it much better. I had it with Scroll Rack the other day and it was insane.
I've also been happy with having one or two mana rocks in play (especially if one of them produces white) as they're often the difference between being able to Geddon at a critical moment and not.
Cataclysm gets you back into the game versus multiple opponents with massive board positions. You might not end up with the best board after you play it, but you should definitely have the best hand.
Scroll Rack is still insane. I'm actually very surprised you don't like cards like Cataclysm and Scroll Rack as they're some of the most powerful effects you have access to in mono-white and especially in this list.
Quietus Spike has been consistently overperforming for me and I wouldn't consider a build without it at the moment. Deathtouch plus the effect is so hard to stop on a double-striker. The equip cost is steep, but the card is very powerful. Also the look on people's face when they realize they're about to take 20...
For the months I've been piloting this deck I've made a few changes, most of which are meta oriented. I was running 8.5 tails but removed him for Spirit of the Labyrinth. Denying people who draw a lot of cards (most of my meta) is too good to pass up. I removed Fencing Ace for Brimaz, needed something around the same cost that had a little more presence that was able to make a small army on its down. I'm getting a Kemba within the week. I forget what I removed for Hundred-Handed One but adding it has been absolutely amazing. Being able to block anything that flies, or 100 creatures, is too good to give up. I'll probably be finding room to add in Akroma's Memorial and True Conviction since everyone plays some form of black or red. I also need a Weathered Wayfarer...
I've been bouncing around the idea of asking to take over this Primer for sometime now, but I've never written a Primer before so I'd be going in blind on this one. Since I saw this thread a little over two years ago, I've had Isamaru constructed and have been using consistently enough that I consider it my signature EDH deck. Over the last few years it has gone through significant changes but never lost the focus of Equipment Voltron backed by Stax elements to carry Puppy into the late game.
I'm slowly working through putting up a breakdown of my choices for the deck, combos, strategies, and so forth on my tapped out page. Here's the link if you want to check it out, but right now it's a work in progress: Isamaru, The Howling Blade
Okay, so I absolutely love this deck and wanted to build an Isamaru deck for a while. This deck is honestly way out of my pricerange but I plan to flesh it out over this coming year. My big question is why I didn't see Serra ascendant in your deck list. It seems like a pretty heavy hitter for a one drop. Just wondering. also, with all the changes to the deck list that's been happening could you possibly post an updated one so I know what cards not to get? Because it's going to be expensive process lmao

I added Mask of Memory, it's very good when you have a turn 1 creature every game and I'm sad I missed it before.
