Hey all! New to the forum, but not to Commander. I've primarily played Jenara, Asura of War since I got into the format, but when Atraxa, Praetors' Voice was first revealed it really caught my eye. I think I'm ready to make the switch so I thought I'd bring up a few of the awesome cards that have been spoiled in War of The Spark!
There seem to be a bunch more but, not being familiar with the deck, I left out planeswalkers and some of the other proliferate cards. What are your thoughts? What's the current state of the deck as a whole?

I tend to run a harder control list, which means I focus a bit less on proliferation and Planeswalkers and more on interaction and tool boxing. My list does not really deviate too much from standard Atraxa lists outside of overall Walker selection, but a few things from War of the Spark excite me:
Ignite the Beacon is pretty handy. I am unsure if it will end up being a bit overpriced for what it does, but I suspect it will work out well in situations where you spent early game setting yourself up over digging for heavy hitters. The number 2 is what really excites me and 2.5 mana each seems fair.
Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor is a nice way to protect a board, I am not sure I will find room for it though. It seems pretty fair and I like to be a step up above fair if possible.
Narset, Parter of Veils is probably the card I am most excited about. Leovold, Emissary of Trest was a really strong card, and while Narset does not exactly mimic all aspects of it, it mimics the oppressive part of him and can dig deep in the process. Having a proliferate option in Karn's Bastion is pretty powerful. You additionally have the option of simply not using her and instead letting her act as an attackable enhancement if they can get through to her.
I also deeply appreciate Teferi, Time Raveler. Protects your sorcery speed Walker casting game quite well and has some flexibility to boot.
Deliver Unto Evil Seems pretty powerful, even without Bolas in the picture.
Narset's Reversal seems like it just allows for potentially insane plays and has 100% uptime of just being good.
Overall, I am pretty selective about what my WAR adds will be and I have note entirely narrowed them down, but I think this was a great set for players in the WUBG colors.

I run 9 creatures, which means I don't get a lot of value out of her static ability. I don't utilize tokens for blocking as much as some people might. I also don't typically run walkers that solely hold their value on the condition that Doubling Season is online.
Her ultimate is the only reason I would be interested in her and Krosan Grip is much too prevalent in my area to get away with Planeswalkers that offer the bulk, if not all, of their value on an ultimate ability.
I run 9 out of the 15 Planeswalkers on the original post in this thread and WAR will introduce Narset, Parter of Veils as my 10th.

I run a stax package to help protect my walkers, and some of these new cards are fantastic to add: Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor protects your boardstate, makes tokens, and loots Spark Double, well, doubles down on a lot of what you want to be doing. Evolution Sage needs no discussion. Flux Channeler acts as a blocker and also helps proliferation shenanigans with almost every spell. Teferi, Time Raveler offers removal, carddraw, and slows opponents down. Ashiok, Dream Render kills gy shenanigans which can get through some stax via ignoring casting costs, and prevents tutoring, stopping ramp, opponents looking for answers, etc. Dovin, Hand of Control slows down opponents and protects via his -1. Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner untaps a land and is very cheap. That might not seem like much, but she ensures you can pay for Stasis.
The uncommons are some of the stuff I am most excited for in this.
I'm working on a war of the spark set review at the moment. Ive been going through a terrible time lately... War of the Spark is an epic set for Atraxa in all its forms. There are a lot of cards to consider.
It has been a long time since I have posted an update to the deck. Some of that is due to life being way too crazy and some is the normal ebb and flow of interest in the hobby. Repository is a card I love for Atraxa but I think is better suited to the creatures/counters build. Ewit is great but I think perhaps the new Tamiyo is better for the superfriends deck. That is another card I was considering and will perhaps test. Nissa I liked as an early play but I think Narset and or Ashiok add more angles to the deck. Restricting the graveyard and extra card draw is nice and lets us have more control over games.

Great to see some activity here, albeit minor. I too have been busy with a lot and that has me distracted from being active online mostly. Though since we (our playgroup) has discovered EDH, this have got a little out of control to the point where i really don't play anything else apart from the occasional draft or prerelease event.
Atraxa has been with me from day one though and the deck has evolved a lot. Mainly because i try to construct my decks in such a way that there is hardly any overlap in cards. This is difficult in the brewing stage, so at the moment, some staple cards are also used in Reyhan/Silas artifacts.
With recent sets the deck has got some nice tools, but one thing this deck can suffer from is the lack of on-theme, resilient repetitive card draw. If it runs out of gas, it's pretty hard to get back. Also i would like some more manasinks for those turns where i don't want to or need to commit to the board more.
The curve is lower, power is up and it still gets hated on as soon as i get my deckbox out Because of this, this deck has the lowest win% of all my decks within the same playgroup. Which is very unfortunate, because it is so much fun to play.

How comes you didn't mention Liliana, Dreadhorde General? Don't you like her in Atraxa?
