I do wish that there was a way to squeeze in some sort of Razaketh, the Foulblooded combo line since he's so fantastically good. I just haven't really thought about which ones are most viable in Esper colors.
I have been thinking about ways to win immediately via the Spellseeker, being able to get Entomb and Reanimate in the same turn with Aminatou.
So I've come up with these sequences, the reason it's so complicated is that I wanted to come up with the method that would require the ABSOLUTE least amount of mana, rather than cards required. However if you have mana available then there are MUCH MUCH easier lines. But I'm a super nerd and love puzzle solving Magic.
So this method requires 2U+B+B+1U to combo initially.
It might be that you cast the Spellseeker on the third turn (2U).
Then look to combo in the fourth turn (B+B+1U).
You'll also be losing a whopping 29 life through the process, but the whole idea is that it'll happen on turn 4, so not likely to be dead.
Just a quick note that Nephalia Drownyard is another kill-card that could be used as well during the Aminatou Flicker loop.
EDIT: Those are great Razaketh lines. Definitely convoluted, but the nice part is that the pieces are all really good by themselves with the Flicker strategy. Good work, habib!
Hey guys,
How about Necropotence, Counterbalance and Sensei's Divining Top for some topdeck power and manipulation.
Maybe they don't fit in the reanimation version though, but works well with all the miracles and Aminatou's [+1]. Phyrexian Delver seems fine in the deck too.
All strong possibilities.
The planeswalker deck land base doesn't really currently support BBB for Necropotence. But that's not to say that a future configuration couldn't support it.
Counterbalance is pretty hit and miss in a much more spread out casting cost format, but I've always wanted to try it.
I am looking at Karmic Guide and Reveillark as potential cards for further reanimation combos.
My initial decklist has no inifinites, but has some of the same synergies found in this thread. Surprised no one mentioned Ancestral Knowledge for the top order and reshuffle once blinked and Sorin, grim nemesis for some reach.
Also Oath of liliana seems good as repeated removal and blockers. For those looking at Gilded Drake type effects, Phyrexian Infiltrator is instant speed and can be blinked back with Aminatou. Blinking Sorin Markov resets 2 opponents to 10. That should allow you finish them off quicker. Just be cautious about the incoming hate.

Ancestral Knowledge can allow you to look thorugh an incredible 20 cards from the top of your deck the turn it comes into play if you use Aminatou [-1] on it. So I can see it's a great way to get to potential combo cards, which these decks do have. Sorin, grim nemesis is a really sweet planeswalker, if you do a Deepglow Skate ultimate then you'll have all the protection you need with tons of 1/1 black Vampire Knights.

I did have Oath of liliana in my intitial pile of cards, and it really is a good way to offer early game protection, which is the hardest thing about playing planeswalker commander. The fact that you can get to potentially kill 2 opponents creatures if you Aminatou [-1] and then also get a 2/2 black Zombie creature token, as a further blocker, is really perfect for the planeswalker deck.
Don't get me wrong, Rhystic Study is amazing, but deploying cards is the bottleneck for the deck, not card draw. So protecting Aminatou is the priority.
Like all of you I am super excited for Aminatou, The Fateshifter. Here is a link to the deck in one form I am working on. I am looking for a more control-y combo build. Let me know what you think
Note: The deck currently has 100 cards not including the commander as I am still working on it.

The Reality Acid is a nice little twist on removal, potentially giving you access to removing a card a turn.
Demonic Pact can essentially act a pseudo planeswalker for you, giving you access to good effects each turn. Has the bonus of potentially killing an opponent if you get to Aminatou [-6] ultimate.
You could be right about Entreat the Dead (my preference would be to include more B cards anyway), but I thought Entreat the Angels might be a stronger top deck draw, plus it isn't susceptible to graveyard hate like Entreat the Dead. I may have to play with both to find out

Not going to lie, the minute I saw this commander, Entreat the Angels got shoved into this deck so hard lol I honestly do both. My version is reanimator but I can use either as a win con once you go infinity and beyond. Testing the deck tonight!!!
The idea is that you can Aminatou [-1] to blink the Cabal Coffers to generate essentially double mana for the turn. You can focus on cards like Expedition Map and Tolaria West to have better access to these cards.
Okay! So I was able to get in a few 1v1 games this evening with the new deck. I will try my best to shortly recap my experiences as I haven't slept since 3am this morning lol
The deck started decently as I was able to hit Aminatou on turn 3, but had more signets than lands I was able to keep Sram off the table with a few counter spells, but before long, Balan, Wandering Knight Was starting me down for lethal. I was able to top deck into Buried Alive the turn before. However, I made the misplay of getting Baleful Strix rather than Felidar Guardian to go along with Spellseeker and Academy Rector. With grabbing an Animate Dead, I was a card shy of being able to combo off and win the game. Afterwards, I found that my opponent had Swords to Plowshare to disrupt.
This game started off rather slow having Animate Dead, Necromancy and Void Winnower in hand with a loot card being cast a turn before. Able to keep my opponent at bay with a few counterspells and a Overloaded Cyclonic Rift bared me enough time to hard cast Void Winnower. At this point, the eldrazi kept my opponent completely locked out as I used Aminatou to filter through my deck (ending up putting back Necromancy for about 5 turns before getting something good). The play of the game had to be my opponent casting and copying 4 Perplexing Chimera attempting to lock me down. The all start play was bouncing Parallax Wave to clear the field before comboing off for the win. I did miss play by not putting back Oath of Teferi on the top of my deck when I could soo search for it using Academy Ractor and have my opponent ruin my top deck using a Ghost Quarter to ruin a 10 life deep Lim-Dul's Vault.
Overall, I had a lot of fun piloting the deck as it got to do what it wanted for the most part. I am still learning the combos, as everyone has been saying, it is very convoluted and somewhat easy to disrupt (which is why back up plans are a thing!). Cannot wait to test this deck out more in multiplayer to get a true feel of the deck.

I just realized how massively impactful Aminatou's ultimate is. Oftentimes, people build their decklists around their Commander. And when you Ultimate Aminatou, you are pretty stopping your opponents from being able to play their game of Magic. If you can ultimate her, while your opponents have their Commanders in play, it's like you Gilded Drake all your opponents at once. Any combo pieces that they had in play to try and win on their turn? Now they have to figure out how to get them back, from either their 'yard (via removal and recursion) or by killing the player who now controls their nonland permanents. Essentially, you're throwing a massive wrench into everyone's game plan simultaneously. I appreciate her Ultimate a lot more the more I think about it.
I had completely forgotten about Final Parting. It is on the higher end mana costs for the reanimation deck, but it just does so much towards setting you up.
Currently crafting my own brew (See above, needs cuts)
But am wondering what a good creature to add for intution/Buried alive kills
Basically throw in Rector, felidar, and something else for wins.
Animate dead the rector then blink the animate dead to get Oath of Teferi with Rector and Felidar with Animate dead. Use the general for infinite mana now and then blink the animate dead to bring back the kill condition...which...I don't know what would be best right now. Any ideas?

Honestly it doesn't really matter. You could obviously just go for Vela the Night-Clad as the kill card straight away, but I basically use Baleful Strix as the means for drawing as much as the deck as needing to win. Remember you also can give yourself infinite mana, so doesn't really matter what your win-cons are.
Just to remind you that I think the best "third" creature is Spellseeker. Especially for the Intuition. Because if the give you the Academy Rector to hand, the you can Animate Dead the Spellseeker getting Flash. That way it only costs you 2UB to start the combo. Plus Spellseeker can get Entomb, which is the equivalent of any other creature.
Obviously not always the case, you might not have the extra B for the Entomb, or have already cast it, but just pointing out most times your three creatures are Rector, Felidar and Spellseeker, with the idea of probably getting Baleful Strix to draw your deck.
In your case you can just use Djinn of Wishes instead of Strix, as you have infinite mana, so cost of card or activation doesn't matter.
Problem with vela and strix with infinite mana is I don't have infinite activations at that point. So vela and strix wouldn't win right away
Unless I'm missing something

You can blink Oath then Felidar and repeat this infinitely. So you can generate infinite mana with mana sources then infinite planeswalker activations. Then start pushing her to ult multiple times and steal every non land on the battlefield.
At least I think this works.

Similar thing but rector finds Tezzeret, who finds Panharmonicon. Blink Animate dead to get Felidar who bounces the general plus mana sources and this can be used for infinite mana as well if Academy rector/Oath is not available for whatever reason. I figure Tezzeret and Panharmonacon are both at least worth testing at least.

Oath of Teferi targets only comes back at 'end of turn'. A lot of cards are like this. What exactly is sequence you were thinking of?
Similar thing but rector finds Tezzeret, who finds Panharmonicon. Blink Animate dead to get Felidar who bounces the general plus mana sources and this can be used for infinite mana as well if Academy rector/Oath is not available for whatever reason. I figure Tezzeret and Panharmonacon are both at least worth testing at least.
The Arena Rector is a pretty strong card, doubles up on good Flash targets.
I think you would need a high threshold of ETB creatures to get Panharmonicon to be a worthwhile card in the deck. Like if it's just for a particular combo, then it's a bit of a dead card most of the time.
If you have an extra 4 then you can get The Chain Veil instead with Tezzeret. This will allow infinite.
So I've come up with these sequences, the reason it's so complicated is that I wanted to come up with the method that would require the ABSOLUTE least amount of mana, rather than cards required. 3) Cast Entomb for Razaketh, the Foulblooded.
3) Cast Reanimate on Razaketh, the Foulblooded.
4) Sacrifice Spellseeker to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Snapcaster Mage.
5) Cast Snapcaster Mage targeting Reanimate.
6) Sacrifice Snapcaster Mage to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Lion's Eye Diamond.
7) Cast Lion's Eye Diamond and sacrifice to get BBB.
8) Cast Reanimate on Spellseeker getting Dark Ritual. You'll now have BB.
9) Cast Dark Ritual. You'll now have BBBB.
10) Sacrifice Spellseeker to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Unearth.
11) Cast Unearth targeting Snapcaster Mage. You'll now have BBB.
12) Snapcaster Mage targets Entomb.
13) Entomb for Reveillark. You'll now have BB.
14) Sacrifice Snapcaster Mage to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Animate Dead.
15) Cast Animate Dead on Reveillark. You'll now have no mana.
16) Sacrifice Reveillark to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Mox Amber.
17) Reveillark targets Snapcaster Mage and Spellseeker.
18) Snapcaster Mage targets Dark Ritual.
19) Spellseeker gets Exhume.
20) Cast Mox Amber and use to cast Dark Ritual. You'll now have BBB.
21) Sacrifice Spellseeker to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Mana Crypt.
22) Sacrifice Snapcaster Mage to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Buried Alive.
23) Cast Mana Crypt and tap for mana. You'll now have 2BBB.
24) Cast Buried Alive getting Academy Rector, Felidar Guardian, Baleful Strix.
25) Cast Exhume targeting Reveillark.
26) Sacrifice Reveillark to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get anything you want.
27) Reveillark targets Academy Rector and Felidar Guardian.
28) Felidar Guardian targets Aminatou.
29) Sacrifice Academy Rector to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get anything you want.
30) Academy Rector puts Oath of Teferi into play.
31) Now you can go infinite by Aminatou [-1] the Felidar Guardian, and you can use the additional Aminatou [-1] on any win condition you want.
-OR-
So this method requires 2U+B+B+3B to combo initially.
It might be that you cast the Spellseeker and Entomb on the fourth turn (2U+B).

1) Spellseeker gets Entomb.
2) Use Aminatou [-1] on Spellseeker getting Reanimate.
3) Cast Entomb for Razaketh, the Foulblooded.
4) Cast Reanimate on Razaketh, the Foulblooded.
5) Sacrifice Spellseeker to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Sengir Autocrat.
6) Cast Sengir Autocrat.
7) Sacrifice Serf to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Lion's Eye Diamond.
8) Sacrifice Serf to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Reveillark.
9) Sacrifice Serf to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Felidar Guardian.
10) Cast Lion's Eye Diamond and sacrifice to get BBB. Reveillark and Felidar Guardian will go to graveyard.
11) Sacrifice Sengir Autocrat to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Animate Dead.
12) Cast Animate Dead on Reveillark. You'll now have B.
13) Sacrifice Reveillark to Razaketh, the Foulblooded to get Academy Rector.
14) Reveillark targets Spellseeker and Felidar Guardian.
15) Spellseeker gets Dark Ritual.
16) Felidar Guardian targets a land that produces W.
17) Cast Dark Ritual , you'll now have BBBW
18) Cast Academy Rector and sacrifice to put Oath of Teferi into play.
19) Infinite as the other example.

Animate Dead the Academy Rector. Aminatou [-1] the Animate Dead, getting Oath of Teferi off the Rector.
Animate Dead the Felidar Guardian, Felidar targets Aminatou. Now you get two Aminatou activation's.
Aminatou [-1] the Animate Dead, to get Vela the Night-Clad.
Then Aminatou [-1] the Animate Dead to get Felidar Guardian, and blink out Aminatou. You can rinse and repeat, and Vela deals the life loss on her own leaving.

Perfect. Thank you that makes sense. I suppose with infinite getting spellseeker for demonic tutor into enter the infinite would work too

You can blink Oath then Felidar and repeat this infinitely. So you can generate infinite mana with mana sources then infinite planeswalker activations. Then start pushing her to ult multiple times and steal every non land on the battlefield.
At least I think this works.

Buried Alive/Intuition
Arena Rector/Felidar/Win condition
Similar thing but rector finds Tezzeret, who finds Panharmonicon. Blink Animate dead to get Felidar who bounces the general plus mana sources and this can be used for infinite mana as well if Academy rector/Oath is not available for whatever reason. I figure Tezzeret and Panharmonacon are both at least worth testing at least.
