When Ramos, Dragon Engine was spoiled, I had a Hard time figuring out something to do with him. I am not a competitive player. I don't really play outside of my playgroup so when it comes to my decks being top notch and efficient, they aren't that. I wanted to do something to utilize Ramos's mana ability and use his ability to grow quickly in my own fun way. Keep in mind that this deck is my take on him. While I don't mind suggestions, I am not looking to make this a competitive tournament speed deck. I built it this way to see if it could be made to work somewhat decently and so far, I am not disappointed.
Most decks run a lot of mono-colored cards. I wanted to use as many multi-colored cards as I could and still make him somewhat effective. Being my first 5 color deck it was a challenge. I sprung for shock lands and some fetch lands and I run only 1 of each basic land. I have only played 2 1 on 1 games with him and won both fairly easily. The only multiplayer game I lost was due to a misplay on my part. Here is the decklist:
It may seem like a mess of a deck and I am even surprised it works as well as it does. The mana base is still being worked on as I need to get some more of the Fetchlands such as Arid Mesa I am also thinking about finding a place for Amulet of Vigor Since a few of my lands do enter tapped. The Amulet could allow me to use those lands instead of waiting for a turn.
