I don't actually play this deck, but had a question for those that do. I play Punishing Jund and run Slaughter Games in the sideboard. Assuming my opponent runs Release the Ants/Emrakul as their win condition, am I correct that naming Emrakul with Slaughter Games means they can't win? Up until now I've been naming Omniscience since there it's the only way they can "cast" Emrakul, but they can still win via Show and Tell into Emrakul.
I hadn't thought about them revealing Omniscience so thanks for that.
with that said, I've thought about naming Show and Tell, but the problem there is they can still cast Omniscience using Dream Halls. It's obviously significantly slower, but it's still doable with sol lands. I guess the unfortunate thing for me is there is no single card (like Tendrils of Agony although if they're smart they have an Empty the Warrens too) that you can name against OmniTell. Don't get me wrong, I name Omniscience the game usually goes my way since they can't cast Emrakul then and take an additional turn and have to go with a Dream Halls win via Enter the Infinite (i.e. more combo pieces to assemble and requires discarding cards).
So, I proxied up omni-tell so I could practice with it and see if it's the tier deck I want to eventually build for Legacy (currently finishing a legacy 8-rack list to run in the meantime) and had a question. The list I found runs 3 Scalding Tarn. Why? I realize that it's for deck thinning or a shuffle if you don't like what Ponder gives you, but why Tarn? It also runs 4 Flooded Strand. Since the only fetchable lands in the deck are Islands, couldn't I just run Polluted Deltas since they're significantly cheaper and the change doesn't seem to have an impact that I can see.

Yeah I'm kinda disappointed in the lack of discussion as well. I decided to go with Deltas over Tarns. Most of the reasoning I could find was that a Turn 1 Tarn could rep UR Delver and throw off the opponent but honestly that 2 second advantage just isn't worth and extra $60 to me. Still gotta drop another $160 to get it down to 20 proxies (local shops magic number for the win a dual tournaments), so hopefully I can start competing and using the profits to finish the deck out.

about to give this deck a go, looks sweet and hopefully we can get some more discussion about it here. unfortunately i missed out on the dig through time hype but i have seen a few decks on mtggoldfish post results playing pieces of the puzzle recently, looks like it's filling the role of DTT for a few people.
The one negative of pieces of the puzzle is that it cant get 2/3 of your key pieces being emrakul and omniscience but we can always use brainstorm/ponder/preordain to find those pieces, potp does find your last 1/3 of the combo by finding show and tell, it also nets card advantage by getting cantrips and more counters etc, so it appears that it can do some work in filling the gap left by DTT
Hi all, just read the thread from start to finish for kicks lol. The DTT banning was definitely the big bump in the road for this deck. I went on Legacy hiatus for sometime before DTT banning, came back with a focus on DnT, Lands, and Sneak n Show. I'm rotating back to Omni-Tell and from what I have found over the last few weeks is that there really hasn't been a suitable replacement to DTT. I've seen a variety of recent lists going all-in with 4 X Impulse. That seems to work well for me. I've also tried Day's Undoing (ugh don't waste your time), Pieces of the Puzzle (OK), and Lim's Vault. IMHO, Vault seems to be the best option to this point, along with all-in Impulse.
So, I can't currently afford the last 3 Force of Wills I need for this deck, but want to get it tournament playable with no proxies (only other cards I'm missing are 2 Omniscience, 2 Intuition, 1 Ancient Tomb, 1 Show and Tell, 1 Dream Halls). Thoughts on supplementing the missing Forces with Daze until I can afford the FOWs?

To bring this post back to life as its been a while since last comments were made i would like any feed back on my current list.
We get around 30+ a week at our weekly magic scene and most of the time the deck does preform at a 3-1 win/loss ratio. I have been playing sneak n show for about 5+ years off and on and only since miracles banning went to Omni Tell. the change was massive at the start as essentially Omni tell is a utility deck and took a few attempts at making the right cuts and choices to play. since getting used to the deck (4 or so months) i wont be going back to Sneak n Show whilst the current meta exists, as Omni utility tell just proves more efficient.
My current list is as follows,
Lands -19
3 Volcanic Island
2 Island
1 Mountain
4 Scalding Tarn
4 Misty Rainforest
3 Ancient Tomb
2 City of Traitors
Spells - 25
4 force of will
3 Daze
1 flusterstorm
4 Brainstorm
3 ponder
3 preordain
3 cunning wish
4 Show N Tell
I would like suggestions and feed back to the deck choice and reasons to why you would cut and add items, i am still playing the JTMS and Fluster main, JTMS can be one of those situations where he just wins you the game or pitches to a force, a turn 2 JTMS never hurts as well. Fluster main was due to the amount of control decks was a better choice over a 4th daze in my eyes as you sometimes dont always have an island play turn 1 with a city/tomb and a petal.
