I think this deck might have a bit more play to it than it did before. Thopter + Sword is nice weapon to have against the army-in-a-box creatures Young Pyromancer and Monastery Mentor. Ancestral Vision with Shardless Agent more than keeps up with Dig Through Time, especially once the mana becomes plentiful and Academy Ruins comes online. I've been testing with this deck:
This main deck is rather weak to combo, with only Force of Will and a lonely Vendilion Clique, but it gets better after sideboards are available. I feel that most combo decks are Omnitell with a few Storm players still fighting the good fight, so the board is tailored to them. Meanwhile, the main deck durdles and grinds almost like the Lands decks of yore. This is basically Bob Huang's Shardless Bant list from his ChannelFireball article way back from before Treasure Cruise, except modified to switch the cards good against Sneaky Show for cards good against Dig Through Time.
EDIT: I don't know if I could deal with taking such a slow deck to a tournament, but this thing certainly does grind with the best of them. It's come back from Liliana ultimates by means of Life from the Loam and Academy Ruins to rebuild Thopter/Sword and take over the game, survived Jace ultimates via Ruins and won with Thopters, and outraced equipped TNNs. I doubt it would do well against Eldrazi though.
