well its a brand new card so its not honest to say "noone plays it against stax"
i would argue that in an established meta with stax as a known quantity, tajaru preserver would be in quite a few sideboards including zoo and countertop.
Maybe there's a reason that White Stax is in the Proven Competitive section
I personally played white stax a while back, and loved it. It really makes you think how you stack things during the upkeep and how best to screw your opponent. Of the variants I tried, this was my favorite.
On a side note, Tajuru Preserver. Noone plays that card, but it's funny against Stax.
once RoE becomes more widely integrated I'm sure there is a good chance an Eldrazi deck may arise at which point Tajuru Preserver may become a heavily played sideboard option and thus decrease the showing of stax inadvertantly

I have to disagree with this decreasing the showing of stax. It might get sideboarded, but it won't stop a stax deck, let alone a good stax player.
In my area, folks have tried to play this specifically against me but there are so many ways around it. I've played against those that maindeck and sideboard this particular card.
2. Magus/Armageddon - no lands, they can't pay for it
3. Oblivion Ring - self explanatory
Basically this card is no problem, imagine if it was playing against a dutch stax, this card will be useless against it's humility/moat combo.
For the OP, stax is a strong deck (i'm biased) and damn fun, but yes I haven't heard/seen any strong finishing lately but it doesn't mean you shouldn't build one yourself. Who knows maybe you'll have a strong finish with it in a tourney.
The Zombie Infestation helped to discard the Gibbering Descent so I can pay its madness cost.
Once it's out there, the Grafted Skullcap kept my hand empty. Plus with no upkeep for myself, I didn't lose anything to Stax, and my Tangle Wire never lost counters, and I just watched them bleed to death.
It wasn’t incredible, but it threw a lot of people off, and I'd easliy take game one.
I scraped it and went back to Angel-Stax when I realized that it didn't have the same effect on games 2 or 3.
Not to say that my build is better (I haven't tested your build), but if you head over to the braidstax thread you may generate some new ideas for black stax. Our builds are significantly different which is why I make the suggestion, just in case you're looking a different route to take this or some new ideas to incorporate, since you seem dissatisfied with your results after game 1.
As for your build, I question zombie infestation as the best win-condition, and grafted skullcap seems inferior to something like phyrexian arena which is A) less mana and B) doesn't require discard. Obviously you include them for the synergy with gibbering descent, but the combo is clunky and I agree that it'd be easily dealt with game 2.
Black stax, I believe, can retain its power after game 1 if you make some changes.

In other news, crazy nitwits playing dress-up have also convicted the Hamburglar, the Cookie Crisp Crook, and the Frito Bandito of sundry snack-related thefts.
Seriously, what about this strikes you as remotely worthy of discussion?

well I'll take your word for it, I have yet to come across it yet so I am not final word lol I would just figure Stax would be less effective once everyone starts running the elf for eldrazi protection
@JustSin:
The problem with that is, I believe, your premise that an Eldrazi archetype will become competitive is flawed. Legacy just has better creatures to cheat into play.
Preserver is better in a format like standard, where, presumably, the lesser Eldrazi could make a splash.

1. Setting cotv @ 1 - 2 stops damn near everything (and sometime 3)
