Using influences from Spanish Inquisition/ANT/TES... I wonder if a similar deck using Helm of Obedience could work. a deck built around this combo, not the combo added to a different deck such as running it in Red Death. Lets discuss:
The first change I would make if it Doesn't work, is to drop powders and add 4 swamps, maybe some fetchlands and or AN.
Thoughts. This is highly experimental. IGGY + Leyline is Strong at hosing your opponents Hand. Synergistic. And then if conditions are right you can Burning wish > Burning Wish > Burning Wish > Tendrils and win with storm count.
Here is a somewhat similar deck that was played at SCG Legacy Open Atlanta it got 13th place. It plays the Helm of Obedience + Leyline of the Void combo, still very different from yours. The problem is see with your list is it might be trying to do too much, how has it played so far?
i remember some black guy once called me called me cracker i didnt know what he was meaning. but them i found out that it is a Racially motivated term for white people, based on the fact that we're the same color as Saltines.
Interesting approach to the Leyline & Helm combo. I'd like to see Mystical Tutor in here; it has certainly proved useful in the past with Lion's Eye Diamond, can fetch you IGG and other tutors, and the next card I'm going to suggest: Trash for Treasure, which just occured to me might work rather well with LED, from which you pitch a Helm to the 'yard for it's activation cost. Worth running 1-of to save you 1 mana when you want to go off, which can be crucial at times. Example:
Cast Infernal Tutor off City of Brass & Chrome Mox, respond by pitching hand to LED for :symr::symr::symr:, discarding a Helm from that hand (which may often be the "unfortunate" case), use tutor to find Trash for Treasure, sacrificing the Chrome Mox to get Helm into play. One mana less = one card less for the combo in most of your scenarios

@Lorthos: If you try to drop red, and add more counterspells and tutoring?
