I didn't mean that you should pick up Tarmogoyfs. I meant that you should plan against them because seriously everyone and their dog plays those guys. With 12 one-drop mana duders you're going to have 3 mana on the second turn so you may as well play the uncommon 4/5 for GGG baloths instead of Tarmogoyf in any case and save yourself $300.
Acidic Slime is a neat card, but is maybe too high-casting considering that it's hardly a threat on its own and fills up a slot in terms of mana curve that IMO should belong to a beatstick that puts the opponent on as short a clock as possible. Still, it's not bad to run maybe 2 of them. I'd give that a go and see how it works.
Going with Ice Storm over Winter's Grasp when you're seriously going to produce two Green mana 99.99% of the time that you can produce 3 mana at all is unnecessary considering that thing is pretty darn expensive for a 3-cast landkill heh.
Plus I've noticed that if you really want landkill to be a viable strategy you need something like 12 landkill cards. For a BG deck that would be 4 Sinkhole, 4 Vindicate, 4 Ice Storm or something. For a mono-green that probably means you need to drop some 4-cast landkills in there.
For an engine to drop a couple of lands in the graveyard you can even go with Crop Rotation considering you can use it to grab either a Wasteland or a fetchland and it's an Instant which is nice if you want to use it as a surprise buff for a Terravore.
Deus of Calamity seems like a neat theme card. Probably doesn't belong in a competitive deck but eh.
for a third 3 cc LD spell, you also have Winter's Grasp. My only issue with 3 cc LD is that you really need another card to take advantage of the tempo that it can provide. It is also generally better used in an aggro/control shell, in my opinion.
If you're looking for a Stifle effect in green, you do have bind still. in a fully developed meta, it's an excellent card.
that entirely depends on where you want to take it. utility aggro/control like what is provided in a threshold setup is very good generally. unfortunately for you, you don't have some of the answers they do. That said, you're using temporary setback cards like 3 cc LD and a bunch of one mana creatures to make sure you get them dropped. You need to start dropping pressure and soon starting t2 or t3. In my red decks that used a similar strategy, I would put down two or three weenies by t3, when I'd hit my stone rain or equivalent, and then I would just try to keep them set back while I removed creatures and battled through. you don't really have that option here, at least not for creature removal. I guess you have the ubiquitous goyf (bleh), or your various x land stompy one drops, though I'm not sure how good they would be here. If you're really planning on the port and wastelands, though, then my only suggestion would be to not use 3 cc LD, and rather to sleeve up 3 or 4 plow unders. think about it....first turn mana critter, 2nd turn something gets and you play another creature wasted or ported...you've slowed them down pretty good by now. third turn, you can plow under giving you two turns to start applying more pressure than they can deal with. Garruk Wildspeaker probably belongs here with his overrun ability, the tokens, and the untapping allowing you to apply crazy amounts of pressure. If you can gain life, then sylvan library is your best friend for draw. If not, then you need to find another way to do so. Terravore probably isn't the best creature in this style of deck,t hough, I don't think your intention is to blow them all up. Now, if you're into the more aggro control style with the 3 cc LD, then I'd recommend a white splash for knight of the reliquary as he is just obnoxious in this form of deck AND gives you that other 3 cc beater to take advantage of all those early mana drops. Careful with that, though, as you're heading into zoo or Loam lines with that form of deck. You have to wonder what you can do that those already very well established archetypes cannot.
The answer to that is generally a metric *expletive deleted*-ton of mana. this can can cause a lot of explosiveness that they can't answer, at least not without a lot of removal. Either way, it's something to think about.
Trinisphere. That's my suggestion. Play some mana dorks, play trinisphere and play land destruction. That wins games. My earlier post was not asinine. Goblins can race ANT to the point where their ad-nasuem can't give them enough cards due to lifeloss. Same with zoo. Root maze is also beneficial for you here because it makes dredge a lot less of a boogey-man (dredge is the real one, not ANT). Having an "auto-concede" to two of the fastest decks in the format means you're devoting SO MUCH of your sideboard to beating them (since there are no cross-over cards) that you have no slots left to improve your other mediocre matchups.
My earlier post was not asinine, your list was asinine.

Asking people to remove quotes in their signatures is tyranny! If I can't say something just because someone's feelings are hurt then no one would ever be able to say anything! Political correctness is stupid.
"No way to beat ANT. GG" is indeed asinine. You put up a reasonable and well thought response afterwards, but your first post contributed nothing. That's all.
As for Trinisphere, that's something that i experimented with a while ago; too long ago to remember. I'll throw it in, see what happens.
Alternatively, instead of whining you could have thought "oh yeah, I can't beat ANT. How should I fix that?"
It's only useless if you don't take away from it the message that was being conveyed.
