There was a point where I was using Argivian Restoration as a way of grabbing back a Rift/Humility/etc. that was destroyed or countered.
Part of the perks of using Enlightened Tutor is being able to run that toolbox. Depending on what the metagame looks like where you're playing it, you can run singletons in the main (I've played things like Grafdigger's Cage in these style decks in the main, just to give additional game against things like dredge and reanimator). Rifter is easily able to play things like Blood Moon, Cage, or Needle in the main; as singletons, you can pull them up with ETutor whenever the appropriate need arises, and there isn't a tremendously high chance of them popping up otherwise.
Really? Won't Delver come back as his 1/1 self? Won't the counters on Champion of the Parish fall off?? I also was thinking more along the lines of simply having a way to slide your own guys. But, Sliding a big guy out, then Bouncing the Slide before he comes back...wouldn't that work? Or would it simply be better to play cycling with Rift and hoping to hit Miracle?
I was referring more to the critters with the ETB effects. Giving another tutor with Stoneforge or another use of Snapcaster as a cost of removing an attacker for a turn never seems like a strong play. I will say, however, that if Emrakul is prevalent in the meta, Slide seems much better.
As for removing the slide after the guy has been removed, no, that doesn't work. Slide sets up a trigger that happens at the end of the turn regardless of whether or not it's still in play.

How were you using this? Rift/Humility are Enchantments. The Restoration brings back Artifacts. Were you referring to Argivian Find?
So, I know there are a few Miracle decks out there. But, what if we tried combining that with Rift? I mean, it gives us something to do on their turn...and there are probably a number of different ways to go about it. I just really miss some of the old archetypes...
I fricken love Astral Slide and Lightning Rift. I've been revamping my legacy Slide deck recently and recently took 3rd/16 in a local tourney, beating out reanimator, RUG Delver and Aggro Loam and losing to Maverick. I won't post my decklist here but it's a GWR list that runs the Loam/Witness/Slide Engine with Lightning Rift and Knight of the Reliquary as wincons. I also run Ajani Vengeant because he's underrated as hell.
Is this deck still good with lower popularity of aggro deck to take advantage of humility? Also, one problem that I have sometimes playing slide is that it's hard to get it going sometimes due to the reliance of a strong board state. Do you have the same issue with Rifter? Is the deck very reliant on Humility to be able to shut down the opponent's creatures?
With Reanimator and Sneak/Show having new toys and slowly making a rising, Humility seems really solid. Shutting down Stoneforge, Clique, Snapcaster, and the slew of critters in Maverick is always huge.
One of the things that Humility does is makes all of your opponent's threats incredibly inefficient. As long as your metagame isnt fully infested with Storm and Creatureless control, Rifter can relatively easily be easily tailored to fit it.
So I played the deck last Friday, beat mono-green infect (spark spray was clutch) and URW Delver, lost to Esperblade and Tin Fins. Batterskull is a real problem for this deck. Still, gonna try to bring this back.

Otherwise, I can't see the idea working well enough.
