I like the idea of Wizards. Snappy is great with Riptide. I'm playing a deck at the moment that uses it with Trinket Mage.
Cavern of Souls will make your wizards uncounterable. Also, I have a hard time seeing a wizard deck that doesn't run Dark Confidant. I would personally play him over Augur of Bolas. I would also run a Karakas in the manabase to bounce Clique without paying 2 extra mana. If you run Cavern, you don't need Vial, so you'll have extra slots.

If the store owner says that I can't trade in the premises, I'll just go outside. If he says that I can't trade within 10m of his premises, I'll go to 11 meters. If he says that he doesn't want to see me trading, I will put a basket over his head and continue trading.
Yes, he's a local legend. He's only known to take his clothes off before he goes into the Ladies' Lockerroom. Nobody knows what he does in there because he's invisible, but it's almost certainly tons of masturbating.

A couple things about Wizards off the top of my Head.
1.) I like this concept, had a Modern Version (r.i.p.) of this deck, especially post- Caven of Souls
2.) Bob is great, but bob + FoW can be dangerous
3.) I don't like the Faerie sub theme. I would just prefer to go straight up with Faeries for stronger spellstutter
4.) I think Zur the Enchanter is waaay underrated. Before Cavern of Souls he seemed risky. Having to devote 4 mana, just to have it Dazed was kind of bad.
5.) Wizards don't have a very strong aggro package, better off being a Tribal-Control, Fish Style of deck.
6.) I'm not to fond of "Tap X wizards; Do ___________" style effects. You're leaving yourself open for removal to pwn the primary strategies of the deck.
7.) EtB effects are insanely good with Riptide Lab
8.) Delver of Secrets is technically a wizard; may be another route
@Deck above: Sry this is bad in many Ways. Zur seem's nice but playing only 1 for a Toolbox u dont need makes many dead Cards in ure Deck. Then, Ertai, Wizard Adept instead of Patron Wizaard? oO And 3 Vials for 10 Creatures? Underground Sea and no Dark Confidant...
Main Goal is to create a lock with Patron Wizard. So the Deck is a weird Creature-based Control Deck. Thats why i play Spell Pierce and not Daze, FoW, Spell Snare; i need to protect my creatures from removal and stuff like Moat and Humility. Daze is bad if u need every Landdrop and FoW makes Carddisadvantage. The Vedalken Aethermage Toolbox gives an answer to everything (Venser, Mangara, Clique) and with Bounce in form of Karakas and Riptide i've got very good Lategame options.
MU's vs top Tier:
Canadian Treshold: Hard, main Problems are Nimble Mongoose and early Delvers and also if he draws to much LD. So i try to handle all his Creatures (12) with 4 StP, 2 Fire, 3 Grim and 3 Snapcasters preboard + 2 Perish 3 EE and 1 Edict postboard. Vial and Cavern rule against Counter and a resolved Patron is almost game.
Maverick: Also not so easy, cause every Creature is a threat against me. But he has only 4 StP so i often can create a good Lockout with Patron Wizard and he has no answer.
UW-Miracle: Cavern and Vial>als Counterbalance. Clique>Miracle and EE>Entreat the Angles. But ofc no autowin either..
---
Reanimator is autowin.
Combo: If he isn't to fast, a resolved Patron is Game.
Dredge: Winnable cause of Snapcaster+Stp and SB: Extraction, Yailer and EE.
Goblins: Worst MU, Ringleader CA, Vial and Cavern, Piledriver and Pyrokinesis.
NicFit.: Positive. I can use his first Veteran Explorer almost better than him. Postboard Azami is win. Never overcommit against Deed.

Is Patron wizard too slow? Not only does he comes down late but we also need to protect him, not very easy to play him IMO.
It's only three mana. And don't forget that he can tap himself for his ability the turn that he comes out since it is an activated ability that doesn't require him to tap himself directly. Therefore, he protects himself in a way.
The real issue I have with the deck is the slow clock, hence why I suggested Jitte in place of StP.
Being that there aren't many flyers in legacy, spellstutter sprite actually makes for a good beater when carrying a jitte. Also, L&S has allows you to return Snapcaster to your hand. The sideboard is rough at the moment.
Anyway, these guys have gotten some sweet support since then:
4 Patron Wizard
4 Spellstutter Sprite
4 Snapcaster Mage
4 Augur of Bolas
2 Vendilion Clique
4 Brainstorm
4 Force of Will
4 Daze
4 Swords to Plowshares
2 Ponder
4 AEther Vial
Land: 20
7 Island
4 Polluted Delta
4 Flooded Strand
3 Tundra
2 Riptide Laboratory
I almost want to increase the land count and add in Wasteland.

dont they already have flash?

Works when you don't have enough mana, 1 flashed faerie & 1 Vialed faerie could counter higher CMC spells.

Personally, I would take out 2 StP for 2 Jitte's and maybe leave the other swords in the sideboard.
