Quote from mordraidIf you decided to go the stax way, why not include some lodestone golems or even masticore ? Masticore is really great with land tax.
Quote from RaggedjoeMaybe. I'll think about other options. The issue with Abolish is that unless you have Land Tax it's hard to spare a Plains... And why do you care about CotV in that case? Miracle works against us for CotV, as you want to blow it ASAP, and only 20% of the cards you see before T4 can be casted for a miracle cost
Quote from herkamurjonesThe nice thing with Miracle costs is that you can always Scroll Rack them back onto the top of your library to activate at your next draw..seems pretty sweet to me!
Quote from LectrysExcept when you have a Solitary Confinement out--dang it! Now you're forced to hardcast Terminus.
Quote from LormadorNot too well, judging from the nonexistent major tournament victories, but on the other hand Land Tax prices have dropped accordingly. Maybe it is a good time to pick them up, if one believes the deck may do something someday.
I wonder if there isn't a Parfait running around in Legacy somewhere. It seems that there should be, somehow.
Quote from MikeageddonTried a couple of the lists in this thread and they all seem to get wrecked by fast aggro decks. What's everyone else's experience with this? Also noticed that dredge isn't that fun of a match-up, even with 4 md Tutors and grafdigger's cage md.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums
Quote from (nameless one)I like Ghost Town since you have the option to reduce your land count (unlike Paradise).
I have to admit, I haven't been doing much with the deck. Busy with Modern (getting ready or GP Toronto, hoping I am not working that weekend)
Although I stumble upon a card that I want to test in the deck. Don't want to reveal it yet because of surprise factors. I can give a hint though; it's from the Dark.
Quote from glurmanQuote from Lotus CobraCould someone help me create a sideboard for the current meta?
-1 Merfolk deck
+1 Almost literally anything else
Sorry if that isn't quite what you're looking for, but it's way more helpful strategically.

just tried out WeaponX (bdi parfait) decklist for an online tournament. went undefeated even though I never used it before. this deck is real. O.o
Quote from hurlman81 Thanks for all your help on this everyone, especially WeaponX. I think he may be one of the more under appreciated brewers in the community.
Quote from RaggedjoeVery interesting, but I think that the idea situation is for the opponent to lose life equal to the number of lands you control and you to lose one more life than that. Plus you get to destroy a few lands. Not sure how helpful this is going to be.
If you have more lands than the opponent, things get interesting. In that case, the opponent would lose life equal to the number of lands he controls times two plus one.
The fact that the optimal play (or, what I think it is) is very different is interesting, but I'm unsure how useful it is as a card. Control doesn't care about doing damage unless its going to win
Quote from WeaponXI am thinking about using parfait for my legacy tourny coming up. It has been one of my pet decks through the years. My biggest fear is control at this point. Creature decks I feel we should never lose to, but once spells start flying...
Needless to say I'm going to run chants main possibly include 2 isochron scepters. I'm curious if anyone else has tried this out. I felt it was one if the stronger points for mighty Quinn and it seems like we can have the lock turn 1.
