Chrome Mox so I could have a 1st turn Eidolon. Or play 2 Guides/Devils or the mixture creatures and or spells. Also, the devils are idea to pitch to the Chrome Mox if necessary.
Vexing Devil great creature to slip into play when Eidolon is in play, and the loss won't overspend my mana.
Shriekmawis a Great card to beat Iona, Shield of Emeria. If Spitebellows does 7 damage, I would consider him and make this a mono red version. I just hate Iona being a one card win condition against this deck.
Sideboard is a little fruit basket. I have a mess of cards and sort them to the best 15 depending on what I see.
3 Thorn of Amethiyst I'll be testing Damping Sphere later to see if I like it more. Why Amethiyst over Pyrostatic Pillar? I like to slow down combo. But seriously, I'm annoyed that cards like: Angel's Grace steps over Eidolon/Pillars. If your having issues with combo, try Thorn of Amethiyst you'll be suprised how much little effect the card has over burn, especially when your playing with 12 or more creatures.
2 Red Elemental Blast/ 2 Pyroblast it always seemed necessary when playing against a strong control build. I prefer to play 2 of each because the cards has different names.
3 Faerie Macabre Great against reanimator/dredge decks also I could put them into play with badlands.
I've always wanted to see an RB burn in legacy, but there is a Price to pay for Progress.
Thanks...
I don't have an issue with Price of Progress, because I run the as primary red. Also, Price of Progress is often sideboarded out (mirror [burn/sligh], mono-decks, players that know how to make POP a dead card)...
But where is the math that shows adding black makes the deck faster? Everything that's currently in the deck can be done by monored, so all you've done is make yourself more vulnerable to wasteland and price of progress.
Shriekmaw Countermagic proof terror. Great card to beat Iona, Shield of Emeria. If Spitebellows does 7 damage, I would consider him and make this a mono red version. I just hate Iona being a one card win condition against this deck.
The deck looks interesting and I could see it being pretty fun. However, what do you mean by this statement? How is Shriekmaw "countermagic proof"? Nothing about the card says it can't be countered, so I am not sure if there is some interaction in your deck I am missing?

lol... This was an error on my end. Usually, I see the spell's ability trumping spells casting cost, though it seemed to work very well with countertop decks in the past because of it's high casting cost. Sadly, I didn't see fix edit button to update my mistake. I still like Shriekmaw over terror any day of the week.
Now I see the edit button... Maybe I need to make 15 posts for this to show up? Anyway error fixed
